The judging was hard. And I mean, hard. We scored everyone by points and creativity on the uses of each object, and then on how much we laughed. And we re-scored everything again.
And it was hard. (Did I mention that?)
Something We Have Realised About Our Blogglings: You are all very violent and scary. (And may need counselling.)
But moving on!
So we have 2 winners (one for each section) and then a random runner-up (from either section). But before we announce the lucky threesome, we want to show you the highlights of all the entries! We’ll list all 5 objects and show you some of the best uses of them by all the entrees.
Best Use of the Book
Robyn Hoode! She said: “That left Sauron, a great eye, lidless, wreathed in flame. Bloodshot. My eyes get bloodshot I need sleep. Sauron looked so tired. I had another crazy idea. As calmly as I could with a giant eye staring at me, I pulled out Goodnight Moon, sat on a boulder, and I read the Dark Lord a bedtime story…
Best Use of Toe Socks
Charley! She said: “If death is not instant, strangle them with a toe sock.”
Note from us: Charley, we’re also worried about you…
Best Use of Paper Clips
Jordan! She said: “These [paper clips] have a multi-purpose. A snare for any unsuspecting animal, linked together they can be made into a weapon resemblign a whip (then I would go all Indiana Jones on everyone/everything), fish hook, and a frog gig.”
Best Use of Frying Pan
Hamlette! She said, “When beset by Orcs, we could use the frying pan to heat up the paperclips, turning them to the tin shards of burning shrapnel we could toss at our enemies.”
Imagination?!! Blogglings, you guys are amazing! Cait was thinking along the lines of survival, but we did dump you in the Panem Arena, so I guess death was imminent (for someone). Least to say…hm, we think you all survived.
Now, for the winners?
Just remember, guys, judging was hard! We picked 3 winners, but in all honesty, there should have been more.
Winning the Gollum Notebook, provided by the super-cool etsy store, CraftRu, is
Her Epic Survival Plan:
Winning the Mockingjay Bracelet, provided by the fantastic etsy store Ollie + Jays, is
Her Fiendishly Cunning Survival Plan (her phrase, actually):
And running up for The Hobbit Bookmark, provided by the frabjous etsy store Etched Heart Designs, (mostly because he made himself another Ring) is
His Epic Survival (World Domination?) Plan:
So obviously you all need psychiatric help now (which is partly our fault, we admit). And Cait has to ask…has no one see the old movie Castaway (starring Tom Hanks and…Wilson)?! NO ONE turned their volleyball into a Wilson! Shame. Anyway.
Winners, we will email you!
Thanks for participating everyone! This wraps up all our party games. It’s the first time we’ve done anything like this, and we were amazed at your fantastic response. It has been brilliant. THANK YOU!
