as linkedUP with on the daybook…
hearing people (sitting on the bench opposite me) while i’m busking, discussing my playing. and discussing me. ahh…i can hear over my playing, okay?
trying to leave a shopping centre through the automatic doors and having them not open. maybe i came up on a weird angle? least to say i’m glad mum was right behind me and the moment ended.
taking my baby nephew to the playground and hearing someone refer to him as a “she”. he was wearing blue and red. and a hat. and blue gumboots. really?!
waking up at 7am on the weekend and thinking it’s 8am. (how that happened, i still cannot fathom.) that’s not so much awkward, i guess, but annoying.
forgetting to answer my emails (eek! not good!)
stalling at an intersection and not being able to take off at all. (no cars came. lucky.)
having my nephew sit on my lap and watch the Olympics with me. hockey and rowing. he’s 22 months and sitting still is kind of a big deal.
hitting 70,000 words in writing my novel
finding some gumboots at the op-shop (thrift store) that fit me perfectly! (i wrote about the wonders of my gumboot infatuation here.)
getting really nice comments from passersby about my violin playing when i busk downtown.
eating icecream and fruit salad on sunday (don’t underestimate it people! it is definitely awesome)
going to the beach with my family!
making new blogging friends (definitely awesome)
