I can’t draw. My pictures look strange. I can’t paint. It would look hopeless if I tried. But I sew.
I’ve made wall hangings, dolls clothes, cot quilts, long stitches, and I’m working on a bed quilt. But my favourite kind of sewing?
Even though I’m not the most artistic, I can make pictures. Out of cross-stitch cloth and embroidery thread.
I’ve made bibbies, mostly, recently I made a 6 page book for my nephew’s Christmas present. (Pages sewed together courtesy of Mum)
Here are a few pictures:

|And the “Light Brown Dog”|
|And the “Yellow Duck”|
As a tip, for a reluctant cross-stitcher, if you decided you don’t like it because it’s boring, or you don’t know when to do it, try this:
Get an audio book and listen to that while you sew.
I don’t know about you, but it helps me concentrate. Sometimes I wish I could sew in church, but alas, it would seem rude, and I’ve never done it. And, so you know, I probably never will.
I do enjoy cross-stitching. And I hope you do, too, because it’s a great hobby to take up.
