Nancy has been super-sleuthing since second grade, solving mysteries that are beyond the abilities of the local law enforcement departments.
Now she’s going to California with her dad for a few months, bound by last-minute promise: No sleuthing in the big city.
For Nancy, that’s easier said than done…especially since she already has a mystery waiting to be solved. One of the greatest unsolved mysteries of all time. The murder of Dehlia Draycott.
She just can’t help herself. She has to know.
And as the clues fall into place, she comes to realize that maybe her dad was right about the danger.
They’re trying to kill her, after all.
In My Opinion…
Movie Classification: PG
My Rating: 4 Stars
This is a hilarious movie. It has all the makings of a family-movie: drama, comedy, thrill, romance, car chases, kidnapping…everything a mystery needs.
Nancy is very funny and relatable for some being the geeky-smart girl in a crazy city school. Her costumes are great. The other people’s are weird.
The music was modern and loud, and not really my thing. Apart from that, it is overall an excellent movie, well worth the watch.
I’ve never read the Nancy Drew books, so I’m not sure how true the characters stick to the novels. But I do know that it’s a great movie on its own. You don’t have to be a book fan to love it!
