We’re thick as thieves.
It’s been that way for a while.
and high heeled shoes
peanut butter, honey and cheese sandwiches
the colour red…
red roses with black ribbons (like in Phantom of the Opera!)
matching her glasses to her outfit
mime doesn’t like fish (catching it, cooking it or eating it)
touching raw meat
wearing socks in bed
baby songs (yes, I’m serious, she doesn’t like “twinkle twinkle” or “old macdonald has a farm”)
hair in her face
going to bed…
or being woken up (she’s not a morning sunshine, let me tell you…)
being squashed in a crowd
When she was little she liked to dress up as a ballerina…
believed everything I told her (which was so handy)
took single bites out of all the apples
whistled whole concertos
favourite names were “Sue” and “Tom”
wrote a series called “Meet Ann” (which sounded surprisingly like “Little House on the Prairie”)
dropped a honey pot on her head
preferred to watch me play dolls rather than play them herself
loooved Barbie movies
I’ve known mime for a pretty long time now…fourteen years to be exact. We’ve done a lot together….
like been to China
travelled the Northern Territory
eaten chocolate chips while we “put them away”
watched “The Hunger Games” at the cinema
climbed a thousand trees
won prizes at the eisteddfods
devoured all 13 A Series of Unfortunate Event books
moved through 5 houses, 4 towns, 2 states
started a blog
We’re sisters. Pretty normal sisters. We have our fights, our disagreements, our days when the other drives us up the wall. But usually? We like being together. We like it a lot.
happy birthday mime! you’re the best.
