You know that library ban I put myself on? Yeah, well I’m laughing too.
In other news, though, we have a copy of Cress up for grabs! Enter! Win! Be happy!
I’m linking up with Tynga’s Reviews for the meme Stacking The Shelves! Basically: you recount books you’ve won/bought/collected this week.
Mime has been onto me for aaaages to read Splintered. I’m a big sucker for anything Wonderland related anyway. (Plus! Cover love!) I got an ARC of Eleven by James Phelan, sooo, I thought I’d check out the first two.
A few weeks ago I borrowed ELaIC from the library…the size is freaking me out. So I’ve borrowed the audio as well.
My preorder of Scarlet by Marissa Meyer arrived! It has the bonus interviews and short stories in the back! Now all I’m missing is Cinder. But! BUT, blogglings, do you want to know something terrible and something awesome?
Well, it’s not, terrible, but it’s bothering me. The cover of Scarlet isn’t flush with the pages. I think it’s so there’s a quirky line of red on the edge, but it. doesn’t. line. up.
PS. I also recognise lots of the other blogs! Congrats everyone who’s on there. It’s super exciting!
Thank you Scholastic and Random House Australia!
I’m so extremely and freakishly excited for The Bear. It’s actually an adult novel, I believe, but by the point-of-view of a five-year-old and her little brother about a bear attack. I WRITE BOOKS LIKE THAT. So I requested and Random House gave it to me, and I’m so happy.
The other two are a surprise from Scholastic. It’s super fun getting surprise books. It’s like, “Hey, happy birthday though it’s not your birthday, eat all the books you want.”
NetGalley approved me for these two e-book ARCs. Excited? CAN I SAY YES YES PLEASE.
Thank you so much to Kelly from The Diva Booknerd! I won Scan and she gave me The Trap! Gosh! You’re seriously so nice, Kelly!
Tuesday – Immagica book blitz + giveaway! (There’s 2 days left on the giveaway.)
Wednesday – Cait fangirled endlessly over Cress + giveaway! (Gosh, we’re generous this week.)
Thursday – Mime talks about why people don’t read.
Friday – Cait shows her WIP book Boybots…with lots of GIFs.
Saturday – We review The Impossible Knife of Memory! Awesome! But the title! Seriously. I’ve typed it so much this week, I’m exhausted.
Also! For the writers: I’m Hulk at YAvengers and I’m talking about word-counts in popular novels. It’s very interesting to gauge your novel’s word-count by.
