I am burdened with glorious purpose in today’s post!
This is due to many reasons, all of which I’ll tell you because I’m nice, like a) I haven’t stacked the shelves for a month, and b) we promised a giveaway when we hit 500, and c) WE HIT 500 BLOGLOVIN’ FOLLOWERS. I realise I repeated that last bit, but I’m excited, okay?!
Thanks Hachette Australia for four House of Night Novellas. I have these for review and have read #1 and #2 and so far they haven’t grabbed me. In fact, I’ve started laughing at the absurdity. Then I cried because I still have two more to read.
Thank you Hachette (you obviously love me, and I love you too) for Defector (Variants #2). I haven’t read book one…but maybe the library has it.
I won Paranoia (The Night Walkers #2) from the author and I am so happy to have it!! Plus it’s signed. That is seriously cool.
Thanks Allen & Unwin for Cooper Bartholomew Is Dead. This is about a dead person. I suspect.
monday – We question if you too compare books written by the same author?
tuesday – We have a Q&A with author Darren Groth and an epic giveaway of Are You Seeing Me?
wednesday – I confesses to 10 books I’ve not read because hype scared me. (And was coincidentally bombarded with screams of “READ DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE OR ELSE” so I’ve got it on reserve at the library. Yes. Peer pressure.)
friday – Huzzah for the release of Dangerous Boys which you should read. It’ll completely mess with your head.
saturday – I realise I should’ve been cast in The Maze Runner movie. I’ve done a maze. I knows how this stuff works.

I didn’t read for nearly 10 days. And then I read a lot. There is no middle ground for me, apparently.
Dragon’s Oath (House of Night Novellas #1): Just as bad as it sounds. [2-stars]
Lenobia’s Vow (House of Night Novellas #2): Believe it or not…worse than it sounds. [2-stars]
Dangerous Boys: FREAKING AND MIND BLOWING BRILLIANT. [5-stars]
The Astrologer’s Daughter: I may have napped while reading it. [3-stars]
She Is Not Invisible: Absolutely brilliant and I loved it. Full of blind people, cheese sandwiches, and siblings. [4-stars]
Messenger of Fear: It’s by Michael Grant. DUH I loved it. In fact, I’m weeping because I need book #2 ASAP and…and this one isn’t even out yet. [5-stars]
Awesome posts by awesome bloggers! I want to spotlight my friends marvellous genius, so go! go! Read them all!
Emily @ The Loony Teen Writer confesses she counts how many book pages she has left. (Phew. Not just me.)
Kara @ Diary of a Teen Writer admits she doesn’t write everyday.
Amanda @ Book Badger interviewed me! I confess to summery tendencies.
Eugenia @ Chasm of Books also interviewed me! (I’m getting around this week.) This time I use lots of gifs.
Kristen @ My Friends Are Fiction discusses overwhelming TBRs.
Nuzaifa @ Say It With Books lists 20 truths from a part-time blogger.
Asti @ Oh The Books! discusses breaking up with features.
I don’t usually have room to post all reviews on the blog…so I want to know what YOU want me to post about. Plus: deciding what to read is hard. You do the dirty work. That’s what you’re here for.

Notebook Sisters is switching commenting platforms. I’m going to install IntenseDebate which looks like this:
It should be a) easier for wordpress users, and b) blogger will no longer eat everyone’s comments. You don’t have to have an account to use it either. So look out! This will be happening.
But if anyone wants to scream, “No, don’t do it!” now is your chance. I will hear. Promise. Anybody terrified of this switch? Any warnings or tips?
HUZZAH for our 500-follower milestone! I mean, technically we have 293 via GFC as well, but we’re celebrating the Bloglovers today. And it deserves celebrating because blogging would be seriously boring without you.
Because it’s a follower-appreciation-giveaway it’s only open to…followers. BUT. If you live in the bonnie land of Oz, jump over and enter the giveaway to win 3x copies of Are You Seeing Me? Which you really need in your life. Trust me. I never lead you astray.
