There’s blogging. And then there’s vlogging.
And since we’ve been blogging for a while, we think we’ll try our hand at a vlog. (Which, for those of you who are unfamiliar with the letter V, is a combination of videoing and blogging. See? Vvvvlogging!)
It’s intensely fun to watch our bloggish friends do them them and be amazed at how American/British/Martian these vloggers sound. So we’re going to do one. Actually, mime is, because cait doesn’t like video cameras. (Not that mime adores them, either, but she’s more willing to sound like a big-mouthed Martian on our blog.)
So that comes to a problem. WHAT DO WE VLOG ABOUT?! So we decided…
Here is where you, frabjous followers and fellow bloggers, come in. (Preferably we’re talking to the
martian international followers, because, fellow Aussies, we hope you do not need to ask us about our brillig continent. You should know.)
So, would you ask us a few questions about Australia? Shoot out your questions! Wacky or…otherwise.
Do kangaroos hop down the street?
Do people really say G’day Mate?
Was Dorothy in Australia when she visited the Wizard of Oz?
That sort of thing. Anything you’re curious about. Throw us a comment, because otherwise we’ll have to be creative and think of questions for ourselves, and that might be…interesting.
And before we head off to wrestle with the video camera and make mime look presentable (because that will take a while), we have one more thing to announce!
(Mime: ^ cait’s got a real way with words, doesn’t she?)
Remember our promised giveaway?
Here is our little promo icon, which will sit in the sidebar to keep a constant reminder!
Yes, the prize is frabjous!
Not only will we bestow on the lucky winner of the draw an amazon.com giftard, we’ll also advertise their blog! (The advertising can come in the form of a guest post, and interview, or the simple adding of their blog button to our sidebar.)
The plan (so far) is to reach 75 followers, in the google-friend-connect widget, and all will be eligible to enter the giveaway. We’ll have added ways to get your name in the hat more times (pretty much like the reaping in The Hunger Games). More about that later.
Will be fun!
