A gargantuan part of being a bookworm is wanting books we do not currently hold in our clammy paws. I don’t know about you, but I am attracted to SHINY NEW BOOKS. And Goodreads just torments us with listing tantalising new releases THAT WE JUST CAN’T HAVE. Gosh darnit. Which leads me to being attracted to the idea of a time machine. Because dangit, Jim*, I’m not a patient plant. I am a bookworm of action.
Today I’m writing a list of 2016 releases I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO EAT RIGHT NOW. It’s supposed to be only 10 and also debuts. But since when have I ever done a Top Ten Tuesday prompt without cheating? #RebelAtHeart
There are TONS of books coming…absolutely TONS OF THEM. I’m not even sorry and you and your TBR may hate and thank me simultaneously.
Also if you have a time machine, I demand ask nicely for use of it.
* There is no reason I’m calling you Jim today. YOU JUST ARE ALL JIM.**
** Actually it’s totally a Star Trek reference. “Dangit Jim, I’m a doctor not an [insert every other occupation here]!” Okay? okay.
This Week’s Prompt: Top Ten 2016 Debuts Novels We Are Looking Forward To
(Which is a pretty tiny list, sadly. SHAME ON ME. Recommendations welcome. Because I obviously need more books in my life.)
- THE WEIGHT OF ZERO: This is about bipolar…which is a disorder I am curious to know more about so YES PLEASE.
- THE QUIET ONES: There isn’t much blurb, but this got me “Hawaiian gods guide a narcoleptic teenager” Sign me up, Jim.
- THE LOOSE ENDS LIST: Is it bad to admit that it got me at “list”!?!? I LOVE LISTS. Look! I am currently writing lists of how much I like lists! Also it’s about a grandma and her granddaughter and I love those kind of stories.
- HEARTLESS: I love Alice in Wonderland. LOVE IT. And I just have completely faith in Marissa Meyer to write it excellently! And hopefully it’ll live up to Splintered?!?
- STARS ABOVE: I mean, this is a given. It’s a collection of short stories about The Lunar Chronicles and — LOOK!! — cover reveal! So pretty!
- STEALING SNOW: So the blurb said “reminiscent of Wicked and Maleficent” AND I STOPPED LISTENING AND JUST WANT IT.
- BRIGHT SMOKE, COLD FIRE: Romeo and Juliet retelling with necromancers?!?!? There can be no downside.
- NORA & KETTLE: Another Peter Pan retelling! I told you I have a Peter Pan obsession!! I WARNED YOU. Plus the pitch is “What if Peter Pan was a homeless kid just trying to survive, and Wendy flew away for a really good reason?” Ohhhh, let me cackle with pleasure at this marvellousness.
- A STUDY IN CHARLOTTE: A Sherlock retelling…with a female Sherlock! WOOT. I’m lucky enough to have an eARC for this too! SQUEE.
- UNHOOKED: Peter Pan is only my favourite thing ever…so of course I need more retellings!
- THE FORBIDDEN WISH: I utterly adore Persian folklore and I really want this Aladdin retelling. I want everything. I am a bookworm of huge wants.
- UNTITLED (Prisoners of Peace #2): I wasn’t the biggest fan of logic behind The Scorpion Rules but I still loved it. Best. villain. EVER.
- THE WINNER’S KISS (The Winner’s Trilogy #3): I’m still disappointed they broke the “C” alliteration. But I will read it. Because my darlings are currently in dire peril and I want to know how this ends.
- HALF LOST (Half Bad #3): I so have a feeling this is gonna end badly…PLEASE LET IT BE OKAY.
- THE RAVEN KING (The Raven Cycle #4): I will absolutely scream if anyone dies okay?! My current prediction is that one of the boys (Ronan???) will sacrifice themselves for Gansey and I will not be okay ever again. EEEEVERRRR.
- THE ROSE AND THE DAGGER (The Wrath and the Dawn #2): I cannot wait for this! Although I have a suspicion my feels will be shredded.
(I’m hugely guilty of adding books because of cover alone…so at least I’m reading blurbs right?! GO ME.)
- MEMENTO MORI: Amy Zhang is like, um 17-years-old or something and disgustingly talented, and I definitely need this book of hers because the blurb promises a protagonist embarking on a bucket list called “Places to Eat Before I Die”. HECK YEAH.
- UNTITLED: Okay, I lied about “blurb reading”. There is no blurb for this one except “a trilogy about super heroes and super villains” and it’s by Marissa Meyer so yes I want it. Noooooow.
- THE MUSE OF NIGHTMARES: Laini Taylor!! Is it acceptable to do a happy dance right now?! It’s about wars of gods and men…but I don’t even care. LAINI TAYLOR.
- OF FIRE AND STARS: I’m so so soooo excited because it’s pitched as “Malinda Lo meets Game of Thrones”.
- THE BASTARD TABLE: It’s about outcasts and saving princesses and going to war and I JUST WANT IT. Jon Snow wants to read it too.
(I am such a sucker for fantasy!! It is basically my favourite genre of EVER and I shall read all the fantasies or bust. Probably both, to be honest.)
- SWORD AND VERSE: Literacy is a capital offence! Hold me while I howl!
- TITANS: Because it sounds like The Scorpio Races!! (And we all know by now that I’m mildly obsessed with Maggie Stiefvater books…ahem.) Plus the protagonist is named Astrid, and Astrid is a good name.
- REBEL OF THE SANDS: You had me at “…she’s more gunpowder than girl…” Also magical beasts! Deserts! And sharpshooting!
- LADY MIDNIGHT: Heck yes this is here! Cassandra Clare is AMAZING and I will forever read what she writes.
- THE STAR-TOUCHED QUEEN: I do so love queenly books. Also there is a cool tree in here. I like cool trees.
- THE CROWN’S GAME: This is a Russian based fantasy!! RUSSIAN!! Do you know how much I’ve screamed for fantasies like this?? THE WORLD HAS HEARD ME.
- IVORY AND BONE: It sounds kind of caveman-ish…which makes me think of the Croods. So I am in.
- THIS SAVAGE SONG: Basically Victoria Schwab and monsters — what more could I want?!?!
(Okay but shhhh this is an ACCIDENT I SWEAR. But goodreads insists on showing me 2017 books, so what am I supposed to do?! Ignore it? NO. I MUST SUFFER. So you should suffer with me.)
- NUTCRACKED: I’ve been asking where the Nutcracker retellings are! HERE THEY ARE.
- HEARTLESS: And a Little Mermaid retelling! But from the VILLAIN’S POV. SO EXCUSE ME WHILE I GET MONSTROUSLY EXCITED.
- UNTITLED: Wherein Veronica Roth writes like Star Wars apparently. But, to be honest, she could write about chicken soup and I’d still want to read it.
- BY YOUR SIDE: A boy and girl get locked in a library! MY DREAMS COME TRUE.
- LONG MAY SHE REIGN: Do you know how DESPERATELY I want this book?!?! The pitch is “in which a 17-year-old shy, socially awkward girl scientist is 23rd in line for the throne, but suddenly becomes queen when the entire court is assassinated by poison during a state dinner.” EXCUSE ME BUT WANT.
I AM CURRENTLY OUT OF MY VULCAN MIND WITH WANT FOR THESE DELICIOUS SOUNDING BOOKS. IF YOU NEED ME, I’LL BE STALKING GOODREADS … PROBABLY HOWLING.
Most of these are on my list already but yay I could add the rest I didn’t have yet. I hate waiting, but these all sound so amazing!
We can hate waiting together. *prepares cake and coffee for the long wait*
Oh my goodness I want these allllll too. I really like the Savage song cover and the Romeo and uliet with Necromancers sounds EXCELLENT, and Long may she reign will be awesome and I need the raven king and the rose and the dagger and pretty much all of these books. Thanks for nothing, Cait *TBR pile explodes*
MY TBR EXPLODED TOO. SO WE’RE IN THIS MESS TOGETHER. XD
*adds every single book onto gr* you killed me with that 2017 list. I WANT ALL OF THESE AHHHHH. my hands are feeling very very GRABBY.
I know riiiight??!!? Omg. I want the 2017 book so. so. badly. AND WE HAVE TO WAIT OVER 12 MONTHS FOR THEM. HOW DO WE LIVE. HOW DO WE HANDLE. OMG.
YES YES YES TO ALL OF THESE! Some of these are on my watchlist (and wishlist) already but adding the rest because they sound amazing! I have a lot of contemporaries on my list, so all these fantasy releases are much appreciated! All the covers are so beautiful too *_* Including that newly revealed Stars Above cover! But I am not ready for TLC to be over forever!!
hehe, you can always count on me to zone into the fantasies and skip all the contemporaries. xD I’ve been enjoying going through everyone else’s lists to get more contemporary on my wishlists!! 😀 ISN’T THE STARS ABOVE COVER JUST GORGEOUS!?!? :’)
SO MANY BEAUTIFUL NEW BOOKS COMING OUT NEXT YEAR! My TBR list has grown exponentially today. I can’t help it I want them ALL.
Most of my most anticipated reads next year are sequels of all the series I’m reading, but after hearing about all the new books that await me I don’t think I’m going to be able to stick to just reading/buying those haha
MINE TOO. 0_0 I’d say #noregrets But seriously, I think I’ve added like 30 books today alone. MY BAD. *pets ginormous TBR and whispers calming things to it* A lot of epic series are finishing next year too, which is kind of sad… *sniffles*
Oh, I am curious about Weight of Zero. One of my ALL TIME favorite stories is adult story featuring bipolar character so I am super surious to see how such topic fares in YA genre.
And I had no idea that Laini Taylor is publishing new book! I am definitely adding The Muse of Nightmares to my TBR, thanks for finding and sharing about it 🙂
Also IVORY AND BONE. It sounds so good. I have been salivating over the blurb for some time LOL
I adored All the Bright Places this year which had an undiagnosed bipolar character so YEAH I WOULD LIKE TO READ MORE. *nods vigorously* I really like learning while I read. Which is just completely nerdy, bUT IT’S GREAT. ANd zomg, it’s so exciting about Laini Taylor right?!?!?! SO EXCITING.
Consider all these books now added to my TBR.
ALL OF THEM.
That time machine needs a ‘freeze-time’ function as well, in order to fit them all in.
YES WE NEED A FREEZE-TIME MACHINE TOO. You make one and I’ll make the other and together we’ll be rich and famous. :’)
Love your humongous list of amazing books 🙂
WHY THANK YOU. XD I am passionate about my 2016 books, aren’t I??! 😛
Yes yes yes! I can’t wait to read Lady Midnight and Half Lost! So many good books will be coming out next year and it’s so exciting! I’d love to read Stars Above, I just can’t get enough of Marissa Meyer’s books 🙂
And so many series are finishing!! *wails* Like the Half Bad series and The Raven Cycle, and the Last Lunar Chronicles books and gahhhhh I’M GONNA BE SAD. I hope some of these new series are epic enough to replace the old. :’)
I am SO EXCITED for The Crown’s Game. RUSSIAN ENCHANTERS AND A DUEL. Well, I’m going to read that as soon as I can… I’d never heard of the Bastard Table before but I’m adding that to my to-read list as fast as my internet connection will let me! IT SOUNDS EPIC! Jon Snow would definitely add this to his library-at-the-wall.
Great selection Cait!
AFJDLSA I’M GLAD YOU LIKED THEM, JOLIEN. XD I just realised my list is like 90% fantasy. But no regrets. hehe. And ahhhhhh I need that Crown’s Game. I need it immediately. TIME MACHINE. WHERE ARE YOU.
I would never be ready for The Raven King, I swear. I’m excited for it and dreading the conclusion at the same time. I didn’t know Laini Taylor will be releasing a book! EEEPP need to start saving money as early as today for all these beauties. YA fantasy is looking really good next year, I’m so happy about it. And I can’t believe a 2017 list is also up and about XD Thank you for this post, it’s very informative and flail-worthy!
BTW, if you love Harry Potter and you are interested in writing a collaborative story set in Hogwarts, please check out this link for details and how to join. Thank you!
SaAAAAAAME. I’m terrified it’s going to be heart breaking. *buries self in denial of its conclusion* But, omg, yes! Affording all these books will be the trick. XD I clearly need to be paid to read — THAT WOULD SOLVE ALL MY PrOBLEMS. (Omg and this is just a fraction of the 2017 books I have added. *dies a little because must wait so long*)
I actually haven’t finished reading the Harry Potter books. SORRY. XD >_<
This is such an exciting list! *flails arms rapidly around* It took me so long to choose only ten debut novels from next year – there are sososo many ones coming that sound awesome! – so reading this blog was like drowning in things to look forward to. Damn you for making me add so many things to my TBR, it’s long enough as it is!
I know right?! Next year is just going to be MAGICAL!! Awww, I’m glad you drowned happily. :’)
Oh you organized these so nicely!!! Loving your picks for retelling next year. I am so late to that game but I am loving retellings lately. Also glad to see another Peer Pan one on the way! 2017??? I can’t yet!! AH! Great picks 🙂
Awk, thank you Grace! 😀 I’m glad you liked how I set out the post. THAT MEANS A LOT TO ME THANK YOU. <3 The 2017 section was just torture. I READILY ADMIT.
I need Heartless by Marissa Meyer, like, RIGHT NOW. NOW!
Also, too many books in this post. TOO MANY!
ME TOO. PETITION FOR TIME MACHINE NOW!!!
So I was scrolling….and scrolling… and like hmm yes me too, yep, oh yes excited.
And then I was like: WAIT FOR IT
…
…
…
THE RAVEN KING
THERE YOU ARE!!!! OF COURSE YOU MUST HAVE BEEN ON THIS POST SOMEWHERE!!!!
I am glad it is, or I would have had to resort to drastic measures….whatever they may be. XD
Thanks for sharing Cait!!! AND I ALSO DID NOT KNOW THAT HALF BAD #3 HAD A TITLE!!! Half Lost. That sounds totally rad. XD
I would’ve disappointed bookworms ALL OVER THE UNIVERSE if I’d neglected my darling baby The Raven King. *pets book cover* Plus it’s so pretty and I need every excuse to post the cover. XDDX
I think my FEELS are going to be half lost during Half Lost. *collapses*
I’m actually quite curious about what Veronica Roth has up her sleeve next, even though it’s a ways out.
I am too!! I’m really curious if she’ll stick with the same tone as Divergent or branch out…
AS IF THIS DAY WASN’T HARD ENOUGH ON MY TBR CAIT, YOU HAD TO GO MAKE A LIST THE SIZE OF THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA! I literally just added like 80% of this list to my TBR and the other 20% I already had HAHA!
All the retellings sound fantastic! I’m totally excited for new Peter Pan and Aladdin retellings!
I had not even considered the possibility of one of the Raven Boys dying until you put that thought in my head IT CAN NOT HAPPEN! I WILL BE THE OPPOSITE OF OKAY IF IT HAPPENS! My excitement level for The Rose and The Dagger is endless, it’s going to be so good!!
When I saw that Marissa Meyers was writing a new trilogy about superheros my excitement went through the roof!!
And all 2017 books got added as well! Because you know, the pain of waiting one year for a book isn’t enough I like to torture myself and get excited about books not coming out for 2 years!
I LIVE TO CAUSE PAIN APPARENTLY. #sorrynotsorry But zomg, my TBR is threatening to fall on my head and squash me utterly flat. *gulps*
I cannot ever get enough retellings! 😀 I’m so glad they haven’t faded out yet, because I loooove them so so much. XD I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS IN THE ROSE AND THE DAGGER SO SO BAD AHHHHHH!!!
Wow! This may be the definitive list.
http://readerbuzz.blogspot.com/2015/12/top-ten-2016-debuts-im-looking-forward.html
I hope it was useful for you. 😛
ohmy gosh, so many of these are books I am dying to read. The Raven King, particularly, can’t come any sooner. I wish I could get it in my hands NOW!
I knoooow right?!?! And we’ve been waiting SO LONG TO READ IT OMG.
i’m a little scared to read it too. I wish the series wasn’t ending 🙁
Such a great list! I adore some of the authors you’ve posted about and all the books look great! Next year has to HURRY because so many amazing books are coming out and I have such high hopes for all of them.
I AGREE!! It can’t come soon enough with these delicious books waiting. XD
*new reader pops in*
I hadn’t heard of most of these . . . but now I have several new books on my TBR list. So, happiness. 😀
Also: everything by Marissa Meyer. YES. I want it now.
(BTW, your link for The Crown’s Game actually leads to The Star Touched Queen . . . just thought you might like to know.)
*waves wildly* HELLO NEW FRIEND!! CAKE FOR YOU.
Basically Marissa Meyer is queen of YA and no dispute. XD hehe
Awk, zomg that’s embarrassing. *facepalm* I’ll fix that link now!!
Reading Winter right now. Can not tell you how I am itching to get my hands on Stars Above and Heartless!
Saaaame!! They can’t come out soon enough!!!!
WOW! You really know a lot about books that are coming out in the future! I always have trouble keeping up and mostly find out about them like one week before their actual release hahaha
There are so many good books on your TTT list, I don’t even know what all I want to read. I think I am most interested in Heartless though. Everything Alice in Wonderland-related just has me intrigued.
P.S. I LOVE LISTS AS WELL! <3
I’ve actually been horrible with 2015 releases…so I’m determined to be in the know for next year. XD hehe. AHHHH THANK YOU THO! I’m glad you enjoyed my monstrous list. xD
Loving all the Star Trek gifs, lol! Anyway, wow, great list! I never know really what’s coming out so your list has definitely informed me muchly 🙂 The book with the Romeo & Juliet with necromancers element sounds definitely intriguing, and the book cover art for A Study in Charlotte is so pretty 😀 Happy reading!
My TTT
I’m just amazed at how creative all the premises are too!! Like Romeo and Juliet and NECROMANCERS?!?!?!? Bring. it. on.
SO MANY FABULOUS BOOKS OMG I NEED THEM NOW! I’m really excited for the Muse of Nightmares and Lady Midnight. Can’t wait!
ME TOOOOOO. Waiting…gah. I hate waiting. *collapses*
MY TBR DOES NOT LIKE YOU RIGHT NOW, CAIT. Why must you torture me in this way? I can only read so many books in a year. (Also, there’s a ton of mythology involved here. I have my suspicions as to what the YA trend is going to be next year. We had our year of dystopian, our year of high fantasy . . . now this.)
Apart from these, I’m excited for Passenger by Alexandra Bracken. Also Rick Riordan’s new series (though I don’t really think an entire book narrated by Apollo can possibly be as good as PJO and HoO?) and the next Magnus Chase book.
PFFFT. I think you made a small typo, Ellie, and you meant to write “MY TBR LOVES YOU CAIT” < -- Much better *nods* Ohh, I didn't notice the mythology craze! I'm hoping fantasy just continues to come back in full swing because I LURVE IT SO MUCH. Fairy Tale Retellings are still in high demand too. Good. Because I love them. XD
i WANT THEM ALL. RIGHT NOW. INTSTANTLY. Where’s a TARDIS when you need one?
But, like, all the Marissa Meyer books and all the debuts and A Study in Charlotte and Ivory and Bone and The Raven King and GAAAAH I WANT THEM ALL.
MEEEE TOOOOO. I NEED A TIME MACHINE. MAKE ONE FOR ME, AINE. MAKE ONE OUT OF CAKE FOR ME. #NoPossibleDownside
THE RAVEN KING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *getting aaaaaall the feels*
I’m anticipating heartbreak and it will break me to tiny pieces. But still, I love these books so much!!!
*INCOHERENT SCREAMING FROM MY CORNER OF THE INTERNET TOO* I CAN’T WAIT. But then I can. Because. no one must die ever. *cries in anticipation*
So flippin’ excited for Heartless, The Winner’s Kiss, and The Star-Touched Queen! You also made my 2016 TBR list SO MUCH BIGGER. But gah I’m so excited! SO EXCITED I TELL YOU for all the amazing-sounding books coming out next year. Sigh.
I’m so flipping excited for 2016 in general. XD AND 2017 NOW THANKS TO GOODREADS TORTURING ME WITH LISTS.
I can’t wait for Unhooked, Stealing Snow, and of course The Crown’s Game!!! Great List!!!
Yayyy, thank you!! THE CROWN’S GAME IS GONNA BE SO SO AWESOME.
Some of these were already on my list, but I hadn’t seen the Peter Pan ones! *is a Peter Pan addict and freely admits it* Also, though I’m sure you’ve seen it, there’s a giveaway for The Forbidden Wish on GoodReads at the moment.
Thanks for the lists! My TBR pile hates you at the moment, but that’s okay because it hates ME on a regular basis. *nods*
*freely admits to Peter Pan addiction too* I will never get enough Peter Pan retellings. NEVEEEEER. And “Nora & Kettle” is like the cutest title EVER. I am so in love already. :’) I have entered that Forbidden Wish Giveaway!!…I think. omg, I can never remmember. XD I’ve never won a Goodreads giveaway though…gah. XD
Oh My God!! This post was so overwhelming (but in the best way possible)! Soooo many new releases coming out soon! I will never be able to read them all. I had no idea that Hodge was doing an R+J retelling! I need that now! I’m eager to hear your thoughts on A Study in Charlotte; that’s one I’m highly anticipating!
Thanks for stopping by the The Local Muse
I WOULD SAY SORRY BUT I’M NOT EVEN SORRY. BECAUSE BOOKS, MALLORY. BOOKS. They call to use. They sing the song of being broke and yet enriched with books.
*innocently adds half of these to her TBR list**whistles*
GOOD LIFE DECISION. I HIGHLY APPROVE.
I JUST TRY TO BE A GOOD MINION XD
YOU EXCEL BASICALLY.
*SQUEALS* THANK YOU
Wow…there are a TON of books here. Just wow I don’t know where to start but that yes there are so many I already had on my list others I didn’t know existed (though I have barley processed 2016 yet let alone 2017 lol). Wow I have Stars Above on pre-order already and love the cover.
STAY AWAY FROM 2017 WHILE YOU CAN. *hyperventilates with longing for all those books* XD I do wish they have covers though, hehe. But ahhh, so many books!!
ALL THE BOOKS. Thank you, my TBR is going to grow and grow and GROW and I’m going to get stuck under a PILE OF BOOKS because of you. That’s kind of my dream though, so I’m not really that mad, haha :p
The Loose Ends List seems like such a great read, totally the kind of book I should like, and, lists, lists are great, you’re so right about this!! 😀 Memento Mori and By Your Side sound SO GOOD, too. Damn. I’m going to add all the books to my TBR. Thank you for that 😀
I will probably be crushed by my TBR too, presently. NOT EVEN SORRY. THESE BOOKS MUST BE ADOPTED AND LOVED.
MARISSA MEYER. *snatches all the books* And you just HAD to go and remind me that Veronica Roth’s newest book comes out in 2017. Can we just agree to skip 2016 and just get to the good stuff?
Let’s see, most of the titles you listed were unfamiliar to me, but they all look super interesting and now I want them all. Also, I want A Drop of Night by Stefan Bachmann which is coming out in February, I think? And I think it’s set in France or something, so I’m super excited about that.
Side note: You are my now my favorite person and if you keep calling me Jim I just might not try to steal the iron throne from you.
Other side note: So I made it to 444,444 words this November. *flops*
I KNOOOOO RIGHT!??! I mean I want a lot of these 2016 books, but omg. 2017. Please come to me, darling 2017 with all your gorgeous books. *pets computer screen* FANTASY THO. Like 99% of this list is fantasy and I have zero regrets. XD
Also btw, I’m mILDLY IN AWE OF YOUR 444,444 WORDS OMG. YOU ARE AMAZING. And also such an aesthetically pleasing number. WELL DONE.
GOOD JOB JIM. TEACH ME YOUR WAYS.
I’ve already seen/added most of these, but I found a couple more retellings I would like to read and everybody always could use some more retellings!! 😃 Tbh though, I’m excited for more mystery-thrillers because those are my absolute faveeee.
I’m so glad the retellings haven’t gone out of fashion yet! THEY ARE MY FAVOURITE OF EVER.
I don’t even want to look at people’s TTT posts today. My TBR already stresses me out. But I did see that you have A Study in Charlotte on your list, which I read last month thanks to a giveaway. It was disappointing, I’m sorry to report. I do seem to be somewhat of a black sheep, but then, WHAT’S NEW?
Zomg, that is NOT good news. *dies a little* But then I tend to have mega-high expectations for retellings so…we’ll see. XD (And I can’t help but scour everyone’s TTT posts. But seriously. Next year = me broke.)
Or you could up your library game. Especially now that you have a wider selection. 😉
(Just don’t compare A Study in Charlotte to Ellie Marney’s series, hah.)
Oh I will DEFINITELY be upping my library game. XD And I shall keep pestering my library to buy things too. 😉 Soooometimes I’m persuasive? (And I shall keep the Charlotte warning in mind. *nods*)
Why, Cait, why?? You keep doubling my to-read list!!!!!!!!! *howls, but then goes and looks at Goodreads for more to-read books*
*howls with you* IT’S UNFAIR, TBH. WE’RE BEING TORTURED HERE.
OKAY; THAT KASIE WEST BOOK SOUNDS AMAZING… but, 2017 – COME ON, I WANT IT NOW!
IKR?!?!? WHY IS THIS TORTURE GIVEN TO US?
Okay, so I now have a lot more books to add to my never ending to be read pile. After Winter, I will read anything Marissa Meyer writes and the fact that the epilogue in Stars Above is dubbed as the “wedding of the century” is making my shippers heart all warm and fuzzy. There seems to be a lot of re-tellings coming out in 2016 and even though I’m not the biggest Peter Pan fan *hides* I am excited for Nora & Kettle. With regards to the fantasy list I think it’s safe to say we are being spoiled with all these wonderful books haha.
Zomg, is it!?! I am so ready for a Marissa Meyer flavoured wedding. Although shhh I haven’t read Winter yet, but it’s mega-high on my TBR. XD
Sometimes I can’t tell if books are a debut or not. Goodreads does not always help with this. I do have some that I really want to read…I should make a non-top ten tuesday post and post those!
It is hard to know right?! XD Goodreads is immensely helpful for this…but somehow I don’t think many of these books are even debuts. SUCH A FAIL, CAIT. *sighs*
We only share two, but I think I added most of these to my tbr if they weren’t already on my list! 🙂
I will read anything Laini Taylor and Marissa Meyer care to write.
Excellent use of Star Trek references and gifs!
Check out my Music Monday and TTT.
Saaaame…Laini Taylor is INCREDIBLE and I think Marissa Meyer is like the queen of YA basically. :’)
THE RAVEN KING, LADY MIDNIGHT, AND THIS SAVAGE SONG–I NEED THEM RIGHT THIS INSTANT. Okay, okay…I’m cool. I just REALLY want those books… All may also be on my list today, too…. (because I also happen to enjoy cheating, it turns out). And Star Trek references for the win! Although, admittedly, I AM more of a Star Wars fan…
I REALLY WANT THEM TOO. SHALL WE JUST STAND IN THE STREETS AND SHRIEK UNTIL WE GET THEM?!?!? IS THAT NOT AN EXCELLENT PLAN?!?!
Some days I feel like I’m living under a rock because I don’t know what new books are coming out. Thanks for the fantastic list! Mine just got longer. I have an obsession with fantasy too! 🙂
*hi five for fantasy obsessions* XD Aww, don’t feel bad though! I only know because I trawl goodreads lists and have been stalking everyone else’s wishlists!!
Well, gee, THANKS Cait, as if I didn’t have enough already on my TBR! And I thought I’d already scoured the Goodreads list for all the add-able books (add-able? Whatever, it’s a word now). I’m doing some velociraptor screeches right now because I need literally all of these books.
THIS IS PAYBACK FOR ALL YOUR GLORIOUS LISTS. You have me wanting to read SO MANY contemporaries. hehe. So here are fantasies to get back at you. 😉
Oh my goodness, Cait!! I’ve never even heard of most of these, but you have me so intrigued over them all now. *wants the shiny new covers* I will have to add some of these on Goodreads, methinks. Thanks for bringing these to my attention (so I can sit here and die with all of you waiting)! 😉
We can die wanting and waiting together. XD
I’m really looking forward to A Study in Charlotte
My TTT
ME TOOOOO. We are of the same mind in this matter, Carrie. *nods emphatically*
OH MY GIDDY AUNT. (wait, wait…i have to say this first; i am saving this link so i can read ALL OF THESE BOOKS) (JUST BECAUSE YOU RECOMMENDED THEM)
okay, now OH MY GIDDY AUNT so what i really need to say is that I HAVE A BOOK RECOMMENDATION FOR YOU!!!!!! (this is so weird. you are the book emperor and here i am saying that you need to read something. ) BUT ANYWAY. its on my list of favorites…
The Reckoners Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson – its basically superheros that are bad, so normal people have to fight against them. but it really is one of my faves and OH look at that the last one comes out in 2016. why the torture. so i understand the agony of WAITING. (why. just why.)
but anyway, i thought i would just say this. and yes, i do actually intend to read every last book that you wrote about in this post. 😀
HAHA, OMG. I’M GLAD YOU LIKE DTHE LIST, SAMI. XD I don’t know if they’re good or not though! They’re just ones I’m anticipating (read: screechingly anticipating)
And pfft, I LOVE RECCOMMENDATIONS TOO. I appreciate this so much! 😀 I’ve actually got Steelheart on my wishlist. So I shall be attending to that SUPER (har har har get it?!?) SOON.
Omg.
All. of. the books.
All. of. them.
2017 though??? Why do you do this to me????
I haven’t heard of like *cough* 80% of these *cough*, but boy do they seem good. And those covers! We all know how much I appreciate a good cover.
Amy;
Little Moon Elephant
I utterly appreciate a good cover too *nods* So I’m kinda proud of myself for adding so many of these WITHOUT covers. HAHAHA. AHEM. XD
I so regret not reading some of the books that are having sequels come out next year… But I will do whatever it takes to be able to devour them ASAP.
You have aaall of next year to gobble all these books. ALL THE BOOKS OF EVER, MAYA. :’) We shall both need 48928 new clones.
That’s quite the list!!! Some beautiful covers there too! Particularly looking forward to Rebel of the Sands 😀
My TTT
It’s going to be so EPIC. I just have this gloriously good feeling. *nods*
I have read your list. And my TBR has multiplied tenfold. Yes, I need all these books in my ‘clammy hands’:-)
My TTT
Your welcome. 😉 HEHEH. XD
Oh man. You’re killin’ me! I just added EVEN MORE books to my never ending TBR! I’m at almost 400 books now… I regret nothing (well maybe the fact that I can’t pause the world so I can read a few hundred books and then continue with my life.) But really, I am now super excited for a bunch of books I had no idea existed. SO, thanks 🙂
YOUR TBR
HATESLOVES ME. YOU KNOW IT DOES.Okay, that’s it, Cait. I read this and it made me go do a Top Ten Tuesday post FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER because it looked so gargantuanly fun and I couldn’t stop myself any longer. Also I added Rebel of the Sands to my list. ALSO TOTALLY YOUR FAULT. XD But this is an awesome post and I loved seeing your excited future releases! YAY!
YAYAYA I LOVED YOUR POST!!! I’M SO GLAD YOU DID IT. XD Rebel of the Sands is just…gah, it’s calling to me so monstrously loudly. XD
Great list, Cait! I am SHOCKED to see The Raven King on your list. SHOCKED. 😉
I can’t wait to get my hands on copies of Of Fire and Stars and Stars Above (lots and lots of stars), and The Loose Ends List sounds heartbreakingly lovely. 🙂
I do try to keep my Maggie Stiefvater novel obsession quite quiet, though. *nods* I barely EVER talk about her books. BARELY EEEVVER.
Long May She Reign sounds like an awesome premise (and hilarious too, perhaps unintentionally?). Also, how fantastic is it that ‘epic fantasy’ seems to be coming back with a vengeance in 2016?! Oooh, and thanks for putting The Weight of Zero on my radar. I’m always on the lookout for YA books dealing with mental health issues, so that one has been added to my TBR 😀
yESSS I’M SO EXCITED ABOUT ALL THE FANTASY!! 😀 I’m a fantasy nut and I shall eat all the fantasies of ever and be monstrously happy. :’)
YES TO ALL OF THESE CAIT. I’m especially with you on The Winner’s Kiss (because there needs to be some Kestrel & Arin action, especially after that horrible cliffhanger, amirite? 😉 ) and both of Marissa Meyer’s books. Also The Quiet Ones because OMG that synopsis sounds amazing. Thanks for sharing and, as always, great choices! ♥ Definitely going to add all the rest of these to my TBR!
I’m REALLY hoping it has a very satisfying conclusion…that DOESN’T END UP WITH EVERYONE DEAD, OMG. *dies in anticipation*
You lists just killed me! WAY TOO MANY BOOKS THAT I NEED NOW!!! The Winner’s Kiss, Rebe of the Sands, Stars Above, Heartless, Sword and Verse, The Crown’s Game, and so many more! And thank you for making my 2017 list even bigger.
DON’T WORRY, I KILLED ME TOO. AND HOW ON EARTH ARE WE SUPPOSED TO WAIT???!?!
CAAAAAAIIIIT. Why must you do this to us? I must say, I skipped the 2017 section entirely because, REALLY CAIT? That’s so mean. It’s hard enough waiting for next year. 😛 A lot of these were already on my TBR, but but but…..of course I added more. TWO AMY ZHANG’S NEXT YEAR? YES, PLEASE! Also, HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS?! AND MARISSA MEYER. SUPERHEROES. SUPER VILLAINS. I am drowning in the awesome. The Bastard Table and Rebel of the Sands. UNNNNNGGGGHH. AND TWO PETER PAN RETELLINGS? YES. YES. YES. I already had Unhooked, but of course Nora & Kettle is now on my TBR too. AND AN ALADDIN RETELLING. I AM DYING. I actually haven’t seen many Disney movies, but I absolutely LOVED Aladdin growing up.
BUT. MOST IMPORTANTLY. RAVEN KING. ALKJFOS;EIH T;EKSFLNBDGSHAT EFLGIVLGNSLTKFSNZK RLAHJQE. That is all.
I KNOW IT’S MEAN. THIS WHOLE POST IS TORTURE, TBH. I’m basically gnawing my bookshelves and DYINGLY waiting for 2016 now. And 2017. Omg.
I SHALL JOIN YOU IN AFDKJLSa’jAFKSDAJ!121!!KDFJDQQQRRRRRR TO BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY ELSE TO HANDLE THIS.
I WANT THEM ALL. *grabby hands* Unhooked, The Star-Touched Queen, and The Winner’s Kiss!! But the one I am MOST excited for is The Crown’s Game because Russiaaa. <33
But the wait…*cries*
RUSSSSSIA I AGREE. ERMAGERD. There will never be enough Russian fantasies to suit my screaming fantasy-loving soul. :’)
I don’t know about debuts, but I am desperate to read the follow-up to Magonia, and the next book in The Young Elites series.
I find it hard to keep a track of which are debuts or not too. hehe. I didn’t realise Magonia was getting a sequel! :O
I want all of these books, but I have no money. Considering becoming a book blogger just to get some freebies, but I hate writing reviews.
sAME. I will never have enough for all these delicious looking books. xDXD Library? Libraries save lives. *nods*
Duuude, you have all the books I want! Seriously, give me Rose and Dagger, Winner’s Kiss, and Weight of Zero like NOW. And all the fantasies in the world. I”m such a sucker for fantasy.
CJ
ZOMG, WE CLEARLY HAVE EPIC TASTE. THAT IS ALL. I will forever be a ginormous fantasy lover. :’)
This is baaaaad. CAAAAAIT. You introduced 2017 boooooks! HAHAHAHA and now my TBR on Goodreads is bursting :O
BUT THANKS for all these books hehe. I’m a bit lost when it comes to 2016 books, so yay to all these books you’ve introduced me to!! <3
I KNOW IT’S BAD. I WARNED YOU. YOUR TBR IS GONNA
HATELOVE ME FOR IT THOUGH.SO. MANY. BOOKS.
*adds everything on goodreads*
*looks at TBR*
*faints*
I did not know about half of these books…BRING ON 2016!!!
(And Long May She Reign…I need that book…like now…HOW HAVE I NEVER HEARD OF IT BEFORE???)
*faints with you*
*because holy cow*
HALP.
Hi! I love shiny new books, too 🙂 The Loose Ends List looks great!
My TTT
Leslie
The over is just gorgeous too, right?!?! Eeeeepic cover love!
SO MANY BOOKS!
I SHALL BE BURIED BENEATH A MOUNTAIN OF THEM COME 2016.
Can I live at your house? 😉 😀
I should not have read this post… My TBR list just grew and I’ve been trying to make it smaller – dammit Cait, you always do this to me!! Aaaah so many amazing books coming in 2016 (and 2017 apparently). I can’t wait! I need them now!
YOU ARE SO WELCOME. :’) I HAVE ENRICHED YOUR LIFE AND YOUR TBR.
Awesome list! I have already preordered Heartless! Marissa Meyer is a freaking genius and I have a feeling that everything she does will be magic. Every single book of The Lunar Chronicles was even better than the last, so I have high hopes. I am also super excited for Amy Zhang’s new book. I love her!
AHH YOU HAVE?!?! That is awesome. XD I’ve never actually preordered a book yet, but omg, Heartless would be one I would risk all on. XD I can’t wait to see the cover!!
These all sound good (and I haven’t heard of most of them). 2017 is so far in the further! How do you plan for the reading of such books. And marissa meyer and Veronica roth and OMG why have I not read half of the series. AAAA (so many books. So little time)
How do I plan to BUY all these is the real question…gah. I’m thinking of selling my sister’s soul or hair or left kidney or something. *nods* That’s what sisters are for.
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE
I added so many things to wish list now… there are so many good picks oh my god, 2016 is the year I go broke. Especially excited for the Little Mermaid retelling and Romeo + Juliet + Necromancers. You have flawless taste, lady.
I HAVE DONE EVIL, JEN. PURE EVIL. YOU’RE WELCOME.
2016 is just…omg. It is going to be better than 2015. I just have this feeling.
Oh man, oh man…. my wallet has a great deal of future grievances against your blog. But I need all of these in my life like yesterday. My Anticipated Books of 2016 list on Goodreads just doubled in size. =D
YOU ARE SO WELCOME. When you are broke and have no money for food…AT LEAST YOU SHALL HAVE BOOKS. #noregrets
OMG I ADDED SO MANY BOOKS. This was disastrous for my TBR. In a good way. So thanks for that ^.^ But let’s get real here. ALICE IN WONDERLAND IS MY LIFE. I totally want to read all the retellings. It’s my favorite series, and I’m collecting various editions of it. I have 12 so far, no joke. Unfortunately I think I’ve only read one retelling, and that was the Looking-Glass Wars series, which was pretty good. I need to stop denying myself and get to reading more. Because I’m pretty sure that if I ever do write a book someday (which you have inspired me to do), it will be a dark sort of AiW retelling. IT WILL HAPPEN.
Your TBR
hatesloves me and YOU ARE SO WELCOME. :’) Zomg but me too me toooo with Alice. I cannot get enough retellings (although dodgy ones make me growly) Have you tried Splintered?!?! It’s my favourite retelling of EVER. (omg I have inspired you? OMGGGG. FAJDKSLAFDJAKLDJ *GIVES YOU CAKE*)hOLY GUACAMOLE THIS LIST IS HUGE! Study in Charlotte is definitely my cup of tea, also Marissa Meyer looks like she’s going to be buseeeeeyy! AND AT FIRST I THOUGHT THAT “BY YOUR SIDE” WAS WRITTEN BY KANYE WEST! IMAGINE THAT! A YOUNG ADULT NOVEL WRITTEN BY THE RAPPER HIMSELF- GOOD OL’ KANYE! I kind of want to read that book now… just for the fun of it. Kaney’s book.
And when you called us the collective “Jim” I honestly thought of Jim Halpert from the Office. If you don’t know who he is YOU MUST WATCH THAT SHOW NOW AND FALL IN LOVE WITH THAT GANGLY DORK!
IT IS. I’M SORRY. I’M WAY OVER 10. But rules are for mere mortals *flips hair majestically*
I do not know of Jim from the Office. *hangs head in shame* I BARELY EVER WATCH TV SHOWS I AM JUST SO BEHIND. I just spend my life reading instead. XD
Cassandra Clare just wins everything!! haha
Thanks for the post.
SHE DOES. I SHALL NEVER DENY THAT FACT.
You’ve collected some amazing reads here! Ohmygosh. I’m excited about several of these and found some I wasn’t familiar with. I’m definitely curious about ‘Stealing Snow’ and will have to look into some of these other ones too. Thanks so much for visiting Dreaming Under the Same Moon. 🙂
Ps; love the hashtag. 🙂
Ahhh, yayyy!! I’m glad you enjoyed my list. XD
I blame goodreads for showing me books set to release in 2017 and so forth. They know how to make my heart ache for the future.
Also, I am excited/nervous for those sequels! They will for sure give me all the feels.
*crosses fingers for Blue and her Raven boys*
I blame goodreads for, like, EVERYTHING, tbh. It’s the only way to survive. *nods* GOODREADS IS OUT TO MAKE OUR LIVES BOOKISHLY WONDERFUL YET MISERABLE.
*kidnaps Blue and her Raven boys and tries to keep them safe*
Yes to all the Marissa Meyer books! Stars Above should be good. Plus, it has the most gorgeous cover! I think I like it second only to Cress.
Also, yessss to all the Star Trek gifs (and the pic of Dan Howell. :P)
yESSS I LOVE THE STARS ABOVE COVER. :’) Although, tbh, not one of the Lunar covers has failed me. XD
First, NORA & KETTLE. I am so glad that this made your list, because the author is a fabulous human being, and her first series was SO good. Also, all of these are on my TBR. Like, ALL of them. Even the 2017 ones. Because I have problems. So many people are going around like “Oh no, my TBR is growing” and I am over here like “My TBR was already obscene”.
I need ALL the sequels. And ALL the fantasies. And the 2017s. And the coverless. Basically, our TBRs look like twins separated at birth. As they should.
I haven’t read anything else by the Nora & Kettle author SO NOW I SHALL GO DIG UP HER FIRST BOOKS BECAUSE OMG NORA & KETTLE SOUNDS SO FREAKISHLY GOOD.
My TBR is so large there is just…there is no hope. I’ve resigned myself to it.
So yeah, I just went ahead and added every single book you listed here onto my Goodreads TBR. THANKS CAIT! So many amazing sounding books and fantasies that I just need NOW.
yOU ARE SO WELCOME, JEANN. :’) I KNOW YOUR TBR
HATESLOVES ME.HOLD THE PHONE. Marissa Meyer is coming out with TWO new books?! THEY BOTH SOUNDS AMAZING AND I WANT THEM. *hyperventilates* I’m getting ahead of myself though, let’s first read Winter :’)
Apparently I got too excited to grammar as well. :’)
WHO CARES ABOUT GRAMMAR IN THE FACE OF SHINY BEAUTIFUL BOOKS?!?! FJAKDLSAJDKL I CAN’T WAIT FOR MARISSA MEYER’S FABULOUSNESS. She is like the YA queen, tbh. :’)
Adding Long May She Reign (the show Reign has made me a little obsessed with anything royal… its my Tudor obsession circa 2009 all over again) and By Your Side right now to my TBR pile. Thanks!
I adore queenly and royalty-ish titles too. hehe. xD I’m glad your TBR is happy. XDXD
Okay so I am TOTALLY bookmarking this page and promptly adding all these books to my TBR because this list is utterly SPECTACULAR. (Except the Marissa Meyer ones are already on my TBR, obvs. And Raven King and A Study in Charlotte, also obvs.)
Bright Smoke, Cold Fire sounds epic. And DANG those 2017 releases! Nutcracked! By Your Side! Long May She Reign! I WANTS THEM ALL!
*begins construction of time machine*
*bows majestically* Why thank you. It’s hard to tell I’m a bit of a fantasy nut, isn’t it? 😛 The 2017 ones are the ones I’m dyyyying for most of all. OF COURSE. Life is unfair. Let me squeeze in the time machine with you, yes?
AGGGHH CAIT YOURE KILLIN’ ME HERE. All of these upcoming releases sound fabulous! I am feeling very guilty that I have never read anything written by Victoria Schwab and Maggie Stievater… *deflates with sadness and guilt* BUT I VOW TO CHANGE THAT. Soon…. Maybe…
Wait.
Josephine.
NEVER READ A NYTHING BY MAGGIE STIEFVATER?!??!?!?!??!?!??! *DIIIIIIIIIIIIES* But please. PLEASE. You’re going to fix that soon right?! RIGHT?!?! OMGGG MAGGIE STIEFVATER BOOKS ARE EVERYTHING *composes self*
Ahem. 😉
No pressure.
I just kept nodding and going, “YASSSS.” Because where is the lie? It does not exist. Carry on, everyone. I still need to rush The Quiet Ones onto my already monstrous TBR, like, now.
How could you show us the 2017 books??? Have we not suffered enough??? ha (my 2018 GR shelf is starting to grow. someone help) as always, darling post!
I would never lie to you, Peach. I WILL ALWAYS TELL THE TRUTH GLORIOUSLY. YOU NEED THIS BOOKS. CRY WITH ME AS WE WAIT TOGETHER. If I must suffer, you must suffer too.
Nutcracker retellings are finally happening!? This is so exciting! *adds to long list of books to read* Also, with each new Lunar chronicles book that comes out, I feel a stronger urge to read them….I think this is the point where I’ll be caving XD That cover is too pretty and the concept is pretty darn cool ^ ^
I KNOW RIGHT!? I’M SO SO FREAKISHLY PLEASED!! *flails for 900 years* I’ve wanted more nutcracker retellings! Winterspell is the only one I’ve found and I didn’t like it so much. D:
I didn’t get the Star Trek reference, but that may be because I haven’t watched that series yet. I only watched star trek voyager so far and am currently watching deep space 9.
Oh the Loose Ends List sounds like a fun one, I love lists, so the list part totally got my attention, adding it to my to-read list! I don’t read a lot of fairytale retellings, but that little mermaid retelling does sound interesting. There aren’t that many The Little Mermaid retellings and that always was one of my favourite fairytales. Waiting for books to be released can be difficult and a time machine definitely would be nice, although it’s also kinda nice to have something to look forward to. Great list!
I actually *whispers shamefully* haven’t even seen the show. I’ve only seen the movies. XD But I do plan to watch the show EVENTUALLY. NUNNGH. I have too much to do. XD
And list books = perfection. XD
A lot of these are already on my list *cough* so many debuts *cough*
I’m super super super excited for Lady Midnight (I’ve been preparing for the moment when it’s released my entire life…. except not really…. except kind of.)
I’d never heard of Long May she Reign but now I need it because assassinations and a socially awkward girl, who will probably definitely be relatable, sounds amazing.
I’m really excited for A Study in Charlotte so I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it 🙂
The wait to 2017 will be long and painful… and I can’t xD
Great list!
I’m so so excited for Lady Midnight too!! I LOVE THE SHADOWHUNTER WORLD SO FREAKISHLY MUUUUCH. Although it’s going to be weird reading a series as it comes out instead of having the entire lot there to binge as a I please. o.O
Bookmarking this page because books! A lot of interesting books for the next two years that I desperately want to get my hands on. Boooooks! Pretty, pretty books.
Oh my gosh. Just looking at this list makes me want the books. RIGHT. NOW. Retellings and fantasy and GIVE THWM TO ME!
Adding everything to my TBR on GoodReads.
We just need to find a goldmine and strike rich, right, Misha?!?! BECAUSE WE NEED ALL THESE BOOKS.
SO MANY BOOKS!!! LOL my TBR list is never going to end! I’m excited for so many of those books, but I’m probably the most excited for A Study in Charlotte. And now I’m excited for those 2017 books too! BUT 2017 IS SO FAR AWAY!
Saaaame! I ADORE Sherlock Holmes so there is only win here when it’s a female-version. *flails happily*
Um, I basically just added all of these to my TBR. You are very dangerous, Cait!
OH MY GOD, HEARTLESS! A LITTLE MERMAID RETELLING! OH MY GOOOOOD!
Cait, what have you DONE?! WHY HAVE YOU TOLD ME SO EARLY?! Oh my god. I’m not sure I can wait! 🙁
You do realise you have listed nine retellings coming out next year in your list, right? Which means, if you were to read them, you could take part in my Retellings Reading Challenge 😛 I’m just kidding, there’s no pressure to. But a lot of them sound so good! I might have to look for them next year! Thank youuuu!
YES YES YES to Heartless and Nora and Kettle. Looks like it’s going to be a good year for retellings!
(Also, how are you so organised and already compiling lists of 2016 books to read? I barely know what I want to read this week, let alone next year!)
Beth x
I think I spend far too much time on Goodreads. xD I’m like a book hound or something XDXD
OH MY GOSH, CAIT. This is the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me, ever. For some reason I’ve been having the hardest time finding all the amazing sounding books coming out next year and this post is so perfect! I’m adding each and every one of these to my “GET THESE IMMEDIATELY AND AT ALL COSTS” list.
I AM SO GLAD YOU LIKE MY LIST. *flail wildly* I confess…I have SERIOUS book lust here. xD I want them aaaall. NOW.
2016 IS NOT GOING TO BE GOOD FOR MY MONEY. SERIOUSLY SOMEONE DONATE ME SOME READING IS GOOD FOR YOU SO IT’S FOR A GOOD CAUSE. It’s not funny how many amazing books are coming out (and why are some of these coming out in 2017?! I DO NOT HAVE THE PATIENCE TO WAIT THAT LONG) HOW ARE WE GOING TO SURVIVE THE WAIT. HOW IS MY WALLET GOING TO SURVIVE THIS
Some of these books are already in my 2016 TBR, like the Rose and the Dagger. Seriously that ending KILLED ME! I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT LIKE RIGHT NOW!!! But Oh Cait why do you do this to me? My TBR pile is soo high up and I still keep buying books and now I discover some new amazing books slated for next and now I can’t handle it. These look soo amazing and they sound so interesting that my booknerd self has just exploded with feels! Still I’m soo glad I found your blog. Now I can have more book recommendations and more books to add to my TBR pile. So thank you Cait! 🙂
SAME! SAME! It was a wicked cliffhanger. *collapses* And your TBR is so so welcome. :’) I know it undoubtedly appreciates me. AHEM. I mean I’m sorry. FORGIVE ME. 😂😂
Oh yes my TBR so appreciates you now! Hahaha..And yes you are forgiven. XD Anyway I’m soo looking forward to more of your book recommendations and reviews for this 2016. Happy New Year! 😀
