Writing is fun.
But so is finishing.
I’m the kind of author who likes a little reward when I’ve finished a book. Chocolate is good, don’t get me wrong, but I like a little challenging reward. Something I have to work for. Something that I can sit back, satisfied, and think, “Yep. I should write another book so I can do this again.”
Doing my novel in pictures was fun. A lot of fun. I mean, honestly, I looked forward to doing this the entire time I was writing the fiddly book.
I found pictures that represented my book on pinterest.
I made a mock cover.
I did graphics with momentous quotes from my book on funky backgrounds.
And then I hit on the frabjous and brillig and frumious idea…
(I’ve been watching a lot of movies during these last few weeks of holidays, okay?)
I will admit (guilty here) that I felt ridiculously proud of it when I finished. mime convinced me it was blog-worthy. And…well…it was a lot of fun to make, so here it is.
But here’s my disclaimer: this is a mock book trailer. I do not own any of the material used in the making of the trailer. It’s simply for fun. The song is Strength of A Thousand Men from the album Archangel.
Are you the kind of writer who rewards yourself after completing a chapter? Or hitting a certain word count? Or finishing writing a novel? Or getting through a tough edit? What frabjous things do you do?!
