And everyone’s support has been just so freaking amazing, I actually discovered I have emotions and am now a damp piece of bread in thankfulness. I feel like I’ve brought you all along on this publishing journey full of plaintive shrieking, the occasional weeping, and and overabundance of memes. I’m just !!!! No really, my entire self is just !!!!!

THOR RAGNAROK || ★★★★★
This was so so good. I mean. It was funny and exciting and the pacing was PERFECT (which is saying something for me because I always get bored watching movies?!) Thor is a Hufflepuff. Fite me. And Loki is a darling. And Taika Waititi should direct every Marvel movie ever thank you.
I also have NOT seen Infinity War and I am 100% spoiled now tHANKS INTERNET and all the people who think 2 days is long enough before telling everyone everything. (Although I’m less caring about spoilers these days because … ready for it… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ WHATEVER.)
GAME OF THRONES SEASON 5 || ★★★★☆
So I took about 2 years off watching this and legit couldn’t remember where I was up to. I stopped because (1) MY FAV WAS ABOUT TO DIE and (2) the show has now outpaced the books and this makes me quite annoyed.
Anyway, S5 was good …but I’ve since started S6 and it’s being frikkin amazing so far. I so rarely watch things (I feel guilty if I’m not working okay?!) that this is a nice creative-tank refill, it’s also so bloody I can’t even, and I’m actually invested but also know everyone is going to die so not that attached. Also been pithy in my Instagram stories so here you go:

- The fact that I actually have tWO BOOKS coming out.
- I can’t actually believe it (!!!!) Hard work and black magic pays off oh wow, everyone, 10/10 recommend.
- I blogged a pitiful amount this month because I was deep in edits. And by “deep” I mean I was just laying around screaming but ok. This is the process.
- I made cheesecake for my mum’s work function and you better believe some of it went “missing” and “oh no” and “that is so unforeseen and such a shame”.
- Signed a copy of ATPN for my friend and that was stressful. I nearly forgot my name. I DEFACED A BOOK. Shout out to authors all over the world who handle signing with such ease and grace. I nearly wrote “help” and left it at that.
- 2 of my sisters suggested to me (on the SAME DAY) that I give them a copy of my book.
- Like I don’t see what the point of having 5 siblings is if they’re not all going to buy a copy of my book. Or 10 copies, at least. I haven’t put up with them for 24 years to be subjected to this nonsense now.
- I also made some Society6 designs for A Thousand Perfect Notes. Because I’m my biggest fan, what can I say. You can get them here and here!
- There are so many new releases I should have read by now but I HAVE NOT. RIP me while my TBR beats me up in a back alley. I need to read Allied, Legendary, The Smoke Thieves, Thunderhead, Mirage and All Of This Is True…like yesterday. Hahaha. Oh no.
- I also reached 24,000 followers on twitter and and 42,000 on instagram so look at me this month. I am AFLAME.
- No really. I am. Please someone put me out I am so stressed ah ahah hahaahaha.

I have anxiety and do not need to read negative reviews! But totally tag me if you’re freaking out with love for my genius. I am just sayin’. (Oh my halo is slipping.)
- My dog is currently eating and playing with my socks. While they’re still on me. So I should probably finish this post now before I lose a foot.

I’ve read like 22 books this month which is ABSOLUTELY CRAZY I don’t even know where all my reading energy came from. Yesterday I read Legendary and finished it in 8 hours. Um it’s sad to say that I didn’t love it as much as I loved Caraval. I was disappointed but it was so fun to read. I made a review of Legendary on my blog to vent out my frustrations. I think I’m the only one who doesn’t love it so much lol I don’t know what’s wrong with me.
ASDHJKHJAK I LOVE THOR RAGNAROK SO MUCH I watched it four times already in a course of a few months. It’s the most feel good mcu film and I swear I can watch it a hundred times if I ever get over Infinity War. It’s been a month since I watched infinity war and I’m still a broken bean. I won’t ever be the same again. Watch infinity war now please so you can cry with me.
I actually watch Game of Thrones and the latest season was sooo great. I swear I can’t wait for 2019. The final season is going to be AMAZING I know it in my bones. I just hope I can remember everything when it’s released.

Oh oh you’re killing me with that choice between Ace of Shades and Anger is a Gift. 😂😂I swear they are both 5 star excellence! Ok though so maybe go AoS if you’re in the mood for scheming and badass women and really good character development! But go Anger if you’re ready to be really really moved emotionally and also horrified a bit…it’s such a powerful BlackLivesMatter book but it’s super brutal so be ready for all the feels. 😭😭
And I dESPERATELY need to read Picture Us In the Light asap. I’ve been waiting for it to arrive for like 498 years.

I've got Picture Us in the Light too on my TBR. Shame you didn't like Misfit much, the book is on my TBR. I liked Leah on the Offbeat but I know there are also some people who didn't like it so much.
Recently I've been reading quite a few books, such as: I Was Born For This by Alice Oseman, which I liked a lot. On the Edge of Gone by Corinne Duyvis (which I liked). Goodbye, Perfect for Sara Barnard (which I thought wasn't that great, especially when compared to A Quiet Kind of Thunder which I just loved). I read a few Dutch books and one Belgian one. I read a couple of manga books and some graphic novels + 1 one graphic memoir. I'm currently reading Princess Jellyfish Volume 4.
I've watched the first 4 seasons of Game of Thrones and a couple of episodes of the 5th but then the TV signal got wonky so we could no longer watching it (we saw about half of the 3rd and 4th episode, stuttering with bits and pieces). By the time it was fixed, they had stopped showing the season on TV here. I did buy the Blu-ray a while ago but we haven't gone back and (re-)watched season 5. I've just not been in the mood as much as I don't feel like I care as much anymore. I've read all 5 books and I'm kind of tired of waiting for the 6th book. I'm kind of losing interest in the series. But my boyfriend still wants to continue watching the TV show so I'll probably give it another chance when he wants to start (re-)watching season 5.
I liked Thor: Ragnarok. I haven't seen Infinity War yet and have so far managed to avoid spoilers. I do hate it that so many people spoil the movie after it's only just come out (in certain countries). I dislike going to the cinema, it is too loud and noisy and bright for me, too intense an experience. We have some free cinema tickets and we haven't yet gone because I don't like the experience (maybe we'll still go, I just.. am not looking forward to it). I prefer to buy the films I really want to see on DVD or Blu-ray rather than seeing it in the cinema, my internet is too slow for Netflix. I received my Thor Ragnarok Blu-ray in March I believe, and it'll probably be a while before Infinity War is available on Blu-ray.
I have an Instagram account but I mostly use it to follow other people and see their pictures and videos and Stories. I've posted one picture on my account, of my two dogs. I might try and do one of your prompts if I feel confident enough and can think of some books to photograph.

Well I just had to DNF Only Ever Yours which made me sad, but I was twelve chapters in and still not feeling really engaged, so I’ve put it down, may come back to it later, but I’m not sure. I’m reading Ace of Shades at the moment and really enjoying it, found it a bit of a slow starter but LOVING it now. I’m just about to start reading Crooked Kingdom and I’m so excited cause Six of Crows was one of my favourite reads from last year. I do watch Game of Thrones yes, I started watching it last summer and binged the first six seasons in two weeks and then watched seven as it was coming out. I’m really excited to see how things end! I’ve hit my summer reading streak now, with five books this month and hopefully just as many next month, I love have nothing to do but read. I’ve also finally finished my first round of revisions on my novel (which was basically adding words) and it’s now 77k and I just can’t believe I wrote that much. Your bookstagram challenge looks fun, I’ll definitely join in. And yes, I love cheesecake!

Yeah I thought I would love it, feminist dystopia and everything, seemed exactly my thing, but I think all the reasons I thought I would love it were actually why I hated it! It just made me so uncomfortable that I really couldn’t carry on with it. Oh yeah, I actually still want to read that one, she hasn’t done anything fantasy before, so that will be interesting to see how she does with that. Ah I know, Ace of Shades is so cool! I’m already super excited for the second book and I haven’t finished the first one yet. I have no idea, honestly, I’m one of the people who has seen the show but hasn’t read the books (I know, I know, bookworm shudders), so however it turns out will be a surprise! I think they’ve talked to George Martin to see what ending he has in mind, so I guess it will be somewhat similar, but we’ll be waiting years to find out anyway! Thanks-I definitely deserve that cake now, I think!

Ah well you already know that I’m rereading ToG by Sarah J Maas hehe, starting with Assassins Blade with our favourite Celery Sardine xD I’ve also got two books on the backburner which I’m sort of reading? The Happy Prince & Other Stories by Oscar Wilde (highly recommend it, whilst it’s using old English its easier to understand than Shakespeare and my favourite short story is The Nightingale and the Rose, made me cry) Then I’m also kinda reading Cauldrons Bubble by Amber Elby haha, I’m slacking so bad with my reading.
I love cheesecake, it’s great, one of my best friends (who happens to be a total bookworm like myself, which is great) can make cheesecake. I intend to try some of her cheesecake at some point cause CHEESECAKE! Also you’re 24? I dunno why I had in my head that you were 22…..hmmm I feel like a young thing now at 17 xD

Well I recently finished Crooked Kingdom so… *sobs*sobs* and I plan on hopefully today binge reading the rest of Harry Potter because I’m on the Goblet of Fire and if I don’t I’ll still be reading the series by Christmas and I want to read some other fantasy series on my tbr during summer (like I don’t know maybe…The Raven Boys 😏). I am also extremely behind on my releases, I have like 42 on Goodreads and have only read like 7…

And hahaha, I can actually relate to the weirdness of signing a book. Because funny (and really awkward story)… No I’m not an author (I’ve never written anything longer than a few thousand words), but my mum wrote a book, and we had her book, and my dad’s book, and my beading at a Christmas market, and I was manning the table. And some random guy bought a copy of her book, and when he heard that my mum had written it, but wasn’t there right now, he made ME sign it! I’ve never even READ her book (oops), but… yeah, I signed it for some random guy at a Christmas market once. And I felt like a terrible person for writing in a book, but I didn’t really know how to refuse… And I also didn’t want to lose the sale for my Mum… It was SO awkward!

I got the shipping notification for ATPN yesterday and I’m so thrilledc! it will be fun to read it. (that said I’m trying to go on a book buying/library ban, because I can’t afford it (I got a traffic ticket and broke my phone this month soooo erch) and I have HEAPS of books to read but ATPN is a reorder so it doesn’t even count) but I’m so excited for ou, Cait! I have had an up and downy month but that’s okay, I managed to read some books and get some things done and not collapse into a pit of despair, so it is all okay. I just finished The Poppy War, which…I didn’t like all that much, actually. But I loved reading Tiffany Sly earlier this month, it was a great book!

The best book I’ve finished most recently was A study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro. It was a retelling of Sherlock Holmes with his and Watson’s teenage descendants as the main characters and it was pretty awesome! The author got their personalities down perfectly! I loved it! XD
And the worst one I’ve read so far was The Sound by Sarah Alderson. I was expecting an awesome murder mystery and instead all I got was the trashiest teen romance drama ever. >:( Complete with a terrible love triangle of course. Ugh. It was so disappointing! D:
I actually don’t like cheesecake, but if it’s chocolate or peanut butter or chocolate AND peanut butter flavored, I might eat it. XD

Well, I just finished Brigid Kemmerer’s latest novel, which I really really enjoyed (though I think I liked her previous, Letters to the Lost, just a teeny tiny bit more because I really got into the romance in that one. And now I’m reading Ryan Graudin’s The Walled City, which is absolutely great, but also I’m pretty sure the romance is heading off in the wrong direction. But still its so great!
I also won a copy of your book (the first time I think I’ve EVER won a book) so that is next on my reading list.
Other than that, my first round of edits for my novel came through and I feel pretty crazy about it. Looks like this is actually happening now! Crazy!

I’ve been a bit of a book slump recently (because I tried not to read while I was doing test prep, but now that it’s over, I seem to not be able to read a lot). I did however read a contemporary: To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, a couple weeks ago, which is rare because I never read contemporaries (EXCEPT FOR ATPN, I WILL READ THAT GLADLY). It’s was OK, I didn’t love it, but I think that’s mostly because I’m not used to such light and fluffy and romance-y books. I also read The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue, and while I really enjoyed it, I had to glance over some parts, because I honestly can’t read romance very well. 😂 I don’t know why, it just makes me feel squeamish. But I loved Felicity! She’s so relatable. And I hope she becomes a doctor ahhh <3.

I have been reading… well okay. I started my month with these two REALLY awesome books. The one.. my, I can’t remember what it was called 😉 Kidding hahah and then I was afraid of a book slump (thanks for that) but NO the next book I read (The Bird and the Blade) I actually loved too. BUT THEN. I think you and Megan Bannen combined ruined me for books for the rest of the month because it went downhill FAST afterward. BUT I finished Bring Me Their Hearts last night and I quite liked it so hopefully things will get back on track.
Cheesecake is the reason this world is still spinning tbh. I mean sorry to all the lactose intolerant people (aka half my family😂) but CHEESECAKE IS THE LIFE OF THE HEAVENS. Ahem. Okay but moving forward from that ode to my otp (can I ever move on tho) and ajfdksalfd I’m so excited to read your review! I mean IF THAT’S NOT TOO WEIRD. Shoo me away if it’s too weird.😂

I could read all day about you freaking out because your little baby gets to see the world! I’m sooo happy for you!
Some books I recently read were Das Urteil (The Judgement) by Franz Kafka and it was weird as was expected but I really enjoy his style and strange parables and everything. And I finally read The Darkest Minds which I really enjoyed too. Don’t know why I waited so long to start this series. A book that I read recently and really didn’t like was The Oddling Prince. Buuut I also listened to a lot of Agatha Christie Audiobooks which was amazing. They always bring me back to my childhood and it’s just such a great feeling! I love them to pieces. (Also her way of describing the characters is so mean! Love that! 😀 Speaks to my soul and makes me laugh)
And I’m so jealous you got approved for Not even Bones. I really wantet that one. Oh well.
And I have to read Allied, too. (Well I have to buy it first .. but eh)
