Our tag questions were just too fun to miss, honestly. Time for us to have a go! (And if you haven’t linked up, it’s not too late! You get extra points in the giveaways, so tick-tock, don’t be late.)
1. Just Alice: What book cover(s) has made you super curious?

MIME: Well, Splintered is the first one that comes to mind. I just saw that cover and went, “Woah! I need to read this!”
CAIT: Obviously Splintered. I mean, come on. Look at that gorgeousness. But I really swooned over These Broken Stars. Also: This Shattered World. Can we just start screaming RIGHT ABOUT NOW?

2. Mad Hatter: List the craziest character(s) you’ve ever read.
MIME: Joanna Mason (from Catching Fire.) Yeah, she was loopy. Also Celeana Sardothien (Throne of Glass). That’s a whole different brand of firecracker. Including the “you don’t want her to go off in your face” part.
CAIT: I think every single character in the Shatter Me series is psycho. And in How to Lead a Life of Crime? It could be titled: How To Raise A Sociopath. Seriously. Also Half Bad. Okay…we’re just going to admit that I read a lot of books about pyschos.
MIME: You are what you read.
3. Red Queen, Off With Your Head! What book have you felt like beheading?
MIME: Oh, this question gives me way too much power.
CAIT: Settle, lollypop. Just be nice.
MIME: Okay, honestly Madeleine Takes Command. I read it last year and I actually hoped the Indian antagonists would scalp —
CAIT: WOAH. CALM DOWN.
MIME: I AM CALM.
CAIT: Okay, well, I really really really hated 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher. Think of the crankiest face you can and multiple it by six. That was my face.
MIME: That’s always your face.
CAIT: HOW DARE —
MIME:
4. White Rabbit: What books or series have been insanely popular but you’ve been “late” to pick them up?
CAIT: This is a little bit embarrassing…I’ve only read one Percy Jackson book. I also only started reading the Harry Potter series when I was 19-years-old. Not, you know, 9-years-old. But Mime, I mean, this is a pretty shocking question for you to answer, isn’t it? You’ve barely read anything popular.
MIME: Ouch.
CAIT: Just saying it like it is.
MIME: Well I still haven’t read Harry Potter, Twilight, City of Mortal Instruments or whatever that is, Matched, Uglies, um… but I HAVE read more Percy Jacksons than Cait.
CAIT: Aw, that’s adorable. Small victories for Mime. Woot.
5. Caterpillar: What’s the most confusing book you’ve read?
CAIT: Um, The Bone Season. What the heck was happening there?! Like: WHAT.
MIME: I don’t want to use Splintered as my default answer, but woof, that book was confusing the first time. It’s like someone did something and he died but didn’t but he has no memories, but what’s a jub-jub bird again? I’ve reread it now, and I finally get it.
CAIT: Don’t beat yourself up. Not all of us can understand the awesomeness that is Splintered.
6. Dormouse: What was the last book that sent you to sleep?
CAIT: Enmity. Look, I don’t want to be mean…but —
MIME: Are you kidding? You love being mean.
CAIT: Quite frankly Enmity was like Every Dystopian Ever. Plus it was confusing. Plus it had a generic cover. Plus the title. I CAN’T GET THE “N” AND THE “M” AROUND THE RIGHT WAY, OKAY? Okay.
MIME: And that is why Cait is a demi-god. One of those abandoned ones. Because they’re too crazy and too dyslexic and probably prone to be psycho, as mentioned above. Like Luke!
CAIT:
7. Cheshire Cat: Book that made you laugh and smile?
CAIT: The Lunar Chronicles! I can’t even stop laughing about that!
“Prince Kai! Check my fan, I think I’m overheating.”
CAIT: Oh and Splintered and Gone and A Series of Unfortunate Events and Rangers Apprentice and Gallagher Girls and —
MIME: Careful, Cait. Your fangirl is showing.
CAIT: I can’t help that I’m passionate, okay?!
8. Knave of Hearts: Most recent character who stole your heart?
MIME: Oh this is an incriminating question.
CAIT: Ha!
MIME: How am I supposed to answer that? Like someone I want to be friends with? Or someone I want Mo to read out so I can marry them?
CAIT: You seem flustered.
MIME: I am not, you jerk.
CAIT: Well, we all know you have a secret crush on Four. I, however, am saving myself for Peter Pan.
MIME: Actually, I really disliked Four until the end of Allegiant.
CAIT:
9. Jabberwocky: Best villain you’ve read this year?
MIME: Is Morpheus a villain?
CAIT: Is Warner a villain?
MIME: Are we confusing villains and love interests here?
10. Down the Rabbit Hole: What’s the latest book/series/author that’s completely swallowed your interest?
CAIT: THRONE OF GLASS. Ohhhh, my sweet chocolate cake, I love that series so, so, so much. I am unbelievably excited for Heir of Fire.
MIME:
CAIT: That basically sums up both the title and our feelings towards this book.
Cait and Mime decided to blog because a) they moved away from all their old friends and b) they went on a trip to China and therefore needed to
bragtell people about it. Their archives are full of photos of China, actually. Did you know tomato is an acceptable “fruit” to put on a birthday cake? When in China, do as the Chinese.
I always love it when you discuss your answers to questions. This is an epic answer to your tag. I'm posting my answer tomorrow, and I hope I can live up to the awesomeness of this. I ended up being invited to tea…Tea with the Mad Hatter is always interesting. I'm pretty sure I didn't answer this in the normal way. Loving this blog party!
I love it too! They're a lot of fun…aaaand we must admit, throwing gifs at each other is our FAVOURITE part. I CAN'T WAIT TO READ YOURS. I'm reading everyone's in the linkup now and they're soooo awesome. x) I know too many cool people, that is for sure.
Difference between a villain and love-interest? Er… Is there any? You're discussions are great!I'm going to do the linkup, I guess. Well, let's get started with it now ;-)arendedewit.blogspot.com
*whispers* There obviously is no difference between villain and love-interest if you ask me… x)
Can I have some time to process my tears? You two are absolutely hilarious in the most complimentary and honestly fantastic way possible! I spent the whole time smirking, smiling, laughing, agreeing and was in tears in the end, these questions were fantastic and your answers even better! I'm not entering because I think id' be unfair for me to win when there's other people who would like the prize more, but I'm loving this week on your blog so far! 😀
BAHAHA!! OMG THAT IS THE BEST COMMENT. Thank you. 😉 Eeeeeh. But dude! You should totally enter the giveaway!! You're definitely being too nice there. 😉
Happy blog birthday! I shall definitely be linking up soon. (:A tomato on a birthday cake? I can't even…
Mime! How is it you haven't read any of those!? Oh my. Cait, we have to teach the babies. Lead her lol.And how do you guys do your joint posts? Do you IM each other over separate computers? Are you sitting down at 1 computer together typing them out? Do you just have a normal conversation about the questions while recording yourselves? I'm just curious about your process because you girls have it down to a science are always funny! Your sisterly bond shows, as well as your individual personalities. 🙂
As usual, I love your discussions with Mime <3Difference between love interests and villains? Well, I like the nice guys myself (except Morpheus because…well, because he's Morpheus). I can't remember much about Shatter Me but I don't THINK I liked Warner. Villains do intrigue me, though…I LOVE the cover of This Shattered World. It's insanely pretty."City of Mortal Instruments." Lol. I read up until the fourth one and gave up. Can't wait to see what's in store for tomorrow 😀
MIME IS THE BEST. SHE SHOULD DO DISCUSSIONS WITH ME MORE OFTEN. I almost always go for the bad boy while Mime votes for the good boy. But then we pick opposite opinions because WE'RE SISTERS AND WE JUST CAN'T AGREE ON STUFF. That would be weird. XD Ooooh, This Shattered World. I am dying to read that. Literally. Even if it's not as good as book #1 I don't even care, because I just want that book on my shelf.
I am really enjoying your discussion ladies, but woah! I disliked Four at the end of Allegiant but loved him otherwise lol. I'm so glad about the obvious love for Throne of Glass, Yay!
GO THRONE OF GLASS. I'm so unbelievabely excited for Heir of Fire. I hyperventilated all night when I realised it was on Netgalley and I'm auto-approved for Bloomsbury. *hugs Bloomsbury* They are my favourite publishers of ever.
I am loving the blog party week! Your answers are hilarious as always, you too work so well off each other and I love when you write posts together. And, let's be honest, I am eagerly awaiting another vlog 😉 I'm hoping to do my tag soon and was tempted to put either Splintered or TBS as my first answer, both those covers got me super curious and I had to get the books and read them to see what they were all about. I have to admit that Splintered was a little confusing for me too. You girls need to get to Harry Potter 😉 although I am sure you have heard that A LOT.
Yaaaay! I'm SO glad. I organised this at the beginning of the month, and hehe, I'm so weird but I had mega doubts about it. xD BUT IT WORKS AND IT'S FUN AND I'M SO SO SO GLAD EVERYONE'S ENJOYING IT. I've just reserved HP #4 from the library. Then I picked up #5 at a library sale…sooo it's happening! It's just the ending is already spoiled, sooo, yeah. But I AM like 20 years late to the party, so I can't whinge too much.
Lol, I love your answers! The blog tag was a lot of fun 😀 Also, I think the difference between love-interest and villain are okay to be, like… one as long as the protagonist and love interest end up kissing in the rain. Or something like that. 😛 I don't know. Maybe it's just me. 🙂
The kissing in the rain is a must for every relationship, I'm sure. Or smushing cake in each other's faces. I've heard that's very romantic too.
These Broken Stars has a sequel?? ITS COVER IS SO PRETTY TOO. 😀
IT IS SO DELICIOUS I JUST NEED IT IN MY LIFE.
Is it bad that I haven't read any of the books mentioned except for Peter Pan and The Lunar Chronicles? I don't read many popular/new books. Anyway, this was a great post. You guys are just naturally funny! I don't know how you do it.http://www.butterfliesoftheimagination.weebly.com/
Haha! No you're not bad! 😉 Between us, Mime and me cover a LOT of reading ground. And then we tell each other about the books we've read so we don't double up. lol It's weird but it works. We're only funny because Mime was dropped on her head as a baby and I was born perfect.
I read Splintered for the cover. Yep.Also, your bio is perfect. I think I met you right after you finished posting about China. I kinda want to go back through your archives now.
I think you did! And then we started reviewing Sonlight books and HUZZAH we met your stalkerish presence. DON'T GO INTO THE ARCHIVES. DON'T GO THERE. THERE ARE MONSTERS.
If it's embarrassing you've only read one Percy Jackson book, how embarrassing is it that I've only seen the movies? LOL.Also: PETER PAN *dies of swooning*
*hi fives* I don't feel so guilty now. *dies of swooning along with Allie* Sign me up to be a lost…girl. Or something. Seriously.
This post made me laugh! Loving the Finding Nemo picture.PETER PAN I MEAN SERIOUSLY! I remember thinking he was *amazing* in the film when I was younger and then I rewatched it and ….. well …. let's just say … I'm fifteen …. and that actor's probably twelve ….. but I mean reallllly … ~giggle~
*snicker* I HAVE SO MUCH FUN TEASING MIME. But I know, right?! Peter Pan is the best of all. I was very obsessed when I was about 12, but it's never warn fully off. I BELIEVE I CAN FLY.
I love the Cheshire Cat picture!!Now that I think about it, I want to change my villain answer to President Snow. Okay, so I didn't read the Hunger Games this exact year. But President Snow is so despicable! He should get the worst villain vote. Hm, confusing love interests and villains? These must be some interesting books. ;)After watching Hook a few days again, I've realized that I've never read Peter Pan before. I've never even seen the Disney cartoon. . . Something must've been wrong with my childhood.
Gah, President Snow makes me so so so angry. ANYTIME he's mentioned I get all riled up again. And trust me, we read weird books and if they're not weird, our little weird brains MAKE them weird. (How many times can I use "weird" in a sentence? IT'S A CHALLENGE.)Also: you need to fix your childhood, there. My favourite is the 2003 Peter Pan, but I always loved the cartoon. x)
I read Madeline Takes Command yesterday, which was the first time in probably 3-4 years. I got it for my birthday when I was 8 and personally thought it was pretty inspiring, but everyone's got their own a opinion. Lol, I remember that the first time I read it, I thought that Madeline was "So old!" and yesterday I read it again and discovered that she was only 14. I thought that 14 was a very old age back then. 🙂
Ooops, I'll let Mime stand up for herself on that one. I read it when I was about 10 and I don't remember loathing it…but I have a TERRIBLE memory. But oh totally! I was rereading Bridge to Terebithia, and I realised the "old mean kids" were 8th graders. Er…lol. x) Seems so hilarious now.
I know, right?
Wow! Those Splintered covers are epic! I will definitely be adding those to my must read list 🙂 http://anastasiacatris.com/alice-in-wonderland-blog-party
Eeee! Off to read your post!
Baaaahahaha! You two are so adorable!! Thank for the giggles!
You're welcome. 😉 THANKS FOR LAUGHING.
Hahaha! This is too fabulous, Cait and Mime! I haven't read These Broken Stars yet, but I definitely want to. Is this tag open all week long? I might join in later this week because these questions are too good to miss.
Yes, it's open aaaall week!! I'm glad you like the questions so much. XD I had a bit of fun coming up with it all! XD
Guess I really need to get around to reading Splintered. It's good, eh?
IT IS BEYOND AMAZING. *stamps Splintered with approval*
The tomato on birthday cake isn't something you want to try. TRUST ME.
*whispers* Isn't she such a slacker? I am doing my best to push her down the path of awesomeness. But she's slow. We sit on 1 bed and use my computer because it's a mac and FAR more superior to her dorky PC. x) Then when we want to interrupt each other we snatch the computer off the other person's lap. And we laugh. A LOT. while we do this. IT'S SO MUCH FUN.
Love this! Larissa told me about this a while ago and instantly loved the idea! Will be participating :DHappy Blogversary, girlies! <33
This was such fun! And I loved your summary of Heir of Fire (so very excited!), because quite, quite perfect and accurate. I've never found it particularly hard to differentiate love interests and villains, but once I read Splintered perhaps that will happen. xx
Oh, and HAPPY BLOG PARTY FOR ALL THE DAYS! xxx
You two are are precious. I just recently found your blog though A.G. Howard, but Armchair BEA has started and is eating up all of my free time this week, so I haven't had time to snoop around your other posts. The interview you did with A.G. was perfect, and this post is both both informative and hilarious! I will definitely be returning.
Ha! That sounds like an awesome way to blog together!
Happy Blog-ish Birthday! Seriously you gals are awesome! I love your posts (especially the ones you guys do together. My sister and I have done a few like that) and you are so funny 🙂 I absolutely love it. Will be linking up here in a little bit 🙂 Once again: Happy Blog-Ish Birthday!
You two are hilarious and adorable 😀 I love your blog party thingy you have going on, especially with the Alice theme. Also, the first thing I thought when I read the "best villain" question WAS BASICALLY THE SAME. "Does Warner count as a villain? Does Morpheus?" I wonder what this says about us. *cough*Fabulous post as always, ladies <33 And congrats with your blogoversary!!
Hehe, the discussions between you two are awesome and hilarious 😀 GAH! Can't wait to read those books!
Haha! You sisters are hilaaarious. I loved this one! Can I share some of my opinions?1.) Yes, yes, and yes to These broken Stars. That cover wowed me from the very first day and never let me go. I can't wait for the second book. 2.) I'm so surprised you read How to Lead a Life of Crime! I read that one last year I think and loved it to death. It's so underrated and I wish there were more people reading it. But yeah, it's basically How To Live a Life of a Sociopath =)) Nice, girls. Nice3.) It also took me a loooong while to read Harry Potter. I actually only started and finished the bloodygood series this January, when I was in 21 😛 Errrrrm!4.) YES to the Bone Season. So confusing that I DNFed it.5.) Morpheus and Warner and Villains and Love Interests… wahhaha!Awesome post, girls! I enjoyed it!Faye at The Social Potato Reviews
Hehe, I've convinced my fellow bloggers to do this tag and I now feel so accomplished!I definitely agree about These Broken Stars, that cover is so gorgeous. Space is just so interesting to me and so FREAKING PRETTY I MEAN LOOK AT THOSE STARS. And that dress. Ahhhhh, totally want that in my closest now. And Tarver. I mean what. Splintered's cover is also so gorgeous and mysterious. And Peter Pan omg <33 I definitely agree. He's just perfect and should exist okay. My love for him may be further fueled by books like Tigerlily, the face character for him at Disney World (watch youtube videos with him, can you spell adorable???) and the movies. Cait, we may have to fight for him. [; Loved this post <33 hehe these ones always make me laugh, love seeing the sisterly relationship between y'all
YAAAAAY! CAN'T WAIT TO READ IT. XD
Heir of Fire….*swoons* I'm pretty sure it's very hard to exist until it comes out. XD
Ohhh, yaya for stumbling upon us!! THAT IS GREAT. I HOPE YOU LIKE IT HERE. We're a bit weird, but I think you've probably noticed. (We don't hide the crazy.) A.G. Howard is amazing, right? OMG, she is amazing AND talented AND nice. Very very cool.
Yaaaay FOR SISTERS. I love my sister. I love to annoy her mostly, but HEY. That's what family is about. XD
What does it say about us? That we have brilliant taste in fictional boys. Would you like a straightjacket? I'm getting one…*eats more cake*
I hope you like them! They're fabulous and so so fun. XD
YUS TO IT ALL. I'm only on book #4 of Harry Potter. *hides* I KNOW. But I've got book #4 from the library and as soon as I finish City of Bones *hides again because that's pretty bad* I WILL READ IT. Ugh to the Bone Season. I don't understand why it's so famous.
YOU ARE ACCOMPLISHED AND WONDERFUL. MORE CAKE FOR LARISSA. Also: yus to These Broken Stars. They keep outdoing themselves. Imagine the 3rd cover?! Omg. I will need to still my incredibly fast beating heart. x)FIGHT FOR PAN?!! Noooooo. Well, okay. I'm sure he won't mind. XD
