It feels like forever since I’ve done a tag! Probably because…it has been. (I forget, okay?! I like tags but, ugh, forgetfulness.) Then Tina @ Read The Bloody Book tagged me for #CoffeeBookTag which basically made my day. COFFEE! BOOKS! Yes please and thank you.
Also while we’re talking about Tina, have you checked out her blog and instagram yet?! She takes wickedly gorgeous bookstagram photos.
Okay, but hold up just one nanosecond. We need to get some things out of the way first: a) I don’t actually like tea please don’t hurt me and b) I haven’t had coffee for ages but I do love it, c) I’ll drink it black because I’m a hardcore author, and d) despite all that I’d still pick hot chocolate over anything. Are we good? Good.
So onwards! Because coffee.

BLACK: NAME A SERIES THAT’S TOUGH TO GET INTO BUT HAS HARDCORE FANS.
Because if you’re going to even attempt this monstrous beast, you’ve got to be seriously committed. Although, to be honest, I’m kind of upset with this series right now because a) Book 2: Clash of Kings is freakishly boring, and b) I’ve heard some horrific things about the show that make me rather despair for humanity.
PEPPERMINT MOCHA: NAME A BOOK THAT GETS MORE POPULAR DURING THE WINTER OR A FESTIVE TIME OF YEAR.
Did I ever tell you I’m a massive Scrooge? I’m the child of the Grinch and Scrooge (don’t question that logic, either). Too many people and presents and uuungh. But I did read Let It Snow in November last year, proudly seasonal. I hated it, but that’s beside the point, right?!
HOT CHOCOLATE: WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE CHILDREN’S BOOK?
How dare you subtly indicate that hot chocolate is for children. PFFT. I would exist solely on hot chocolate if I could. Hot chocolate and pancakes. But I digress. (I digress epically and hungrily though, so that’s fair.) I grew up on Narnia. And the other day I accidentally ate half The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. But that was for research, I promise.
DOUBLE SHOT OF ESPRESSO: NAME A BOOK THAT KEPT YOU ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT FROM START TO FINISH.
Welcome to the sweet torture of Throne of Glass which I HATE because I love them so so much that I get all in a flap and turmoil before reading one. I literally put off Heir of Fire forever because I WAS SO SCARED. Pain! I hate it! And yet I keep reading these books! Because I love them.
Oh someone rescue me.
No, don’t.
STARBUCKS: NAME A BOOK YOU SEE EVERYWHERE.
Awkward moment here…I’ve seen exactly one Starbucks in my entire life and that was in China. (Fun story: we had to talk around the ENTIRE Forbidden City to get to it because some helpful local said “Oh it’s just around the corner”, har, har har. NO. I think we did at least 6kms to get a coffee.) But I think everyone in the history of ever has seen or heard of The Fault in Our Stars.
But let’s not talk about the fault in my paper stars, particularly that squashed one on the right.
THAT HIPSTER COFFEE SHOP: GIVE A BOOK BY AN INDIE AUTHOR A SHOUTOUT
There are so many reasons you should give this Indie Author a try, like a) the book is adorable, b) it’s Australian and faeries, c) I know the author, like, personally, and d) because I told you to look it up.
OOPS! I ACCIDENTALLY GOT DECAF: NAME A BOOK YOU WERE EXPECTING MORE FROM.
Decaf? Pfft, try a hot chocolate that’s not hot, isn’t on chocolate, and someone stole my marshmallows. Do I sound a little bitter? I AM A BIT BITTER, HERE.
Why am I so bitter about this decaf?
THE PERFECT BLEND: NAME A BOOK OR SERIES THAT WAS BOTH BITTER AND SWEET, BUT ULTIMATELY SATISFYING.
I’m only unsatisfied because it ENDED. Oh and also that little thing with my favourite character of the whole series. DOES ANYONE HAVE A TISSUE? Or, you know, a bucket and mop? But really, it is the perfect blend because there’s friendship and action and demons and angels and pianos and magical countries and snark and Magnus Bane.
GREEN TEA: NAME A BOOK OR SERIES THAT IS QUIETLY BEAUTIFUL.
I’m a Peter Pan addict. Apart from Alice in Wonderland (because who doesn’t like to embrace their inner crazy?), I adore this fairy tale the most. So yes please to Jodi Lynn Anderson’s Tiger Lily. It’s so so beautiful.
CHAI TEA: NAME A BOOK OR SERIES THAT MAKES YOU DREAM OF FAR OFF PLACES.
I don’t know if I necessarily want to visit AG Howard’s version of Wonderland, though, okay? I think it would eat me. But it is still one of my most favourite world’s to read about. She basically turned Tim Burton’s creeptastic universe into a book PLUS Morpheus. I see zero negatives with this trilogy. (Except for the fact that I don’t own Splintered. So the boys get to hang out together, but after Ensnared, I don’t think they mind so much anymore. YES. I JUST SAID IT. HA.)
EARL GREY: NAME YOUR FAVOURITE CLASSIC.
Have you met me?! YES TO THIS BOOK. I wouldn’t call it exactly Earl Grey even if it is British. Maybe if Earl Grey was slightly psychotic and entirely insane and called Alice by its closest friends?
-~-
As always, if you don’t like tags, IGNORE ME. And if I haven’t tagged you and you want to embrace your caffeinated side? GO FOR IT.
Emily @ Loony Literate // Danni @ Danni Mae // Lisa @ God’s Daughter4Ever // Deborah @ The Road of a Writer // Lydia @ Planet Lydia come now you need to do this // Beth @ The Quiet People // Mishma @ Chasing Faerytales // Shelumiel @ Bookish And Awesome // Cassandra @ Cassandra Page

I disagree with coffee. HOT CHOCOLATE ALL THE WAY. In fact I’m reading this while drinking hot chocolate 😉
I had to go back and read this post because I was just mesmerised by the gorgeous photos. I really need to get myself a decent camera. My phone isn’t QUITE the best quality 😉
WINTER CALLS FOR HOT CHOCOLATE. It just does. I could live on it. Oh wait. I ALREADY DO. heh. heh. Ahem. Wonderful cameras are just…the BEST.
I don’t drink tea or coffee AT ALL. Take that, British stereotypes! Seriously, I exist mostly on dilute orange juice. One day, I will grow up.
I see The Fault In Our Stars everywhere too (still haven’t read it…). Also, Harry Potter and the The Hunger Games (the bookshop near me stocks a copy of the Hunger Games with a pink cover. For some reason, this really irritates me).
Side note: I REALLY like that colourful pattern beneath Ensnared and Unhinged. Pretty!
WOAH. DUDE. Are you even allowed to live in England if you don’t drink tea? 😉 HEHE I JOKE! I JOKE! Tea is a pretty huge thing in Australia too, although I’m 99% sure we just stole that from you. We aren’t very original, we Aussies. -_-
WHAT. How can the Hunger Games have a pink cover?! That doesn’t seem right…
Yay! I love your writing. You wrote exactly like the inner workings of my mind.
Aw, thanks, Tina. xD And thanks for tagging me! THIS WAS SO FUN.
Coffee is my life source (that and wine) and I take with just a touch of milk. I do like tea but usually have it at night and its decaf. Also hot chocolate is the best in the winter. Your pictures are so pretty by the way!
Hot chocolate is like LIFE in winter. AHhh, I’m craving one right now actually, hehe.
Gorgeous photography and I love me that peacock mug!
I loved borrowing that mug. 😉
No one has ever described one of my books as a hipster coffee shop before, and I’m so happy I want to cry! Also, I LOVE the photos you’ve done for each of these. Beautiful! <3
AWWWW. You are such an incredible writer! And I had epic fun with Isla in the backyard today for its photo shoot. 😉
PHOTO SHOOT? 😀
Okay, so I did the Cake Book Tag a while ago, and I saw a Chocolate Book Tag this morning, and apparently now there’s a Coffee Book Tag? Huh. Petition to begin the Pizza, Ice Cream, and Afternoon Tea Book Tags.
I am similarly offended by the assumption that hot chocolate is for children. Oh wait, I’m actually a minor. Hmph. And ohhhh I want Ensnared and the rest of the series. I really did enjoy the idea of a dystopian Wonderland. Whether I enjoyed Tim Burton’s remake is a different question.
And oooh, A Song of Ice and Fire. A Clash of Kings was actually pretty nice, because the good guys aren’t that poorly off. I do accept it’s somewhat of a set-up for A Storm of Swords, although if you can’t survive ACOK, I dread what will happen when you read A Feast of Crows. AFOC was enjoyable for its worldbuilding, but much less plot. I mentioned in your last post I didn’t read it with such a critical eye with regards to what’s happening on the show, but I think that GRRM does a nice job with writing his ladies as people instead of sex objects, but don’t expect blazing feminism.
Also, GORGEOUS PHOTOS ARGH. You have got to write a blog post sometime about how you take these photos.
DUDE. YES. It’s gonna happen and if it doesn’t I’ll start it because and ice cream tag would be sooooo fun. Christmas in July book tag?! Dessert book tag? TACO BOOK TAG?! *calms self*
Ohh, you’re not a fan of Tim Burton? I’m absolutely in love with that Alice film. xD But I like everything dark and creepy and crazy. XD I’m enjoying ACoK a LOT better now though!! It’s started to pick up when they’ve added in some more epic female characters. I like the dudes, I do, but I loathe Theon with fire and passion and there’s a lot of POV chapters which is start to wear on me. -_- And I love Jon Snow extraordinarily much so I wish he was doing more than just walking through the woods. -_-
AHHH. THANK YOU. XD I seriously just use automatic so the post would be very boring. hehe.
This is such a super cute tag, Cait! I also have a big fondness for hot-chocolate – it ain’t for children only.
I like tea, especially forest fruit tea, but I haven’t tried coffee except once I think, and my memory of it is vague. Dear me. . . I am not huge on the drinking business, unless it is fruit juice, smoothies or milk shakes. I like them heaps.
I have to agree about “Fault in Our Stars” – I see it everywhere, and since I haven’t read it, nor have any intention of doing so, it bugs me just a little bit.
and I LOVE NARNIA! The other day I grabbed the Narnia books while waiting for the violin lesson, because I was a bit bored, and “Accidentally” read the first full chapter of “The Magician’s Nephew” in less than five minutes. . . SO GOOD!
I hope this won’t come across as sounding naggy or unpleasant, but I recently tagged you in the Liebster award tag on my blog, Cait, so if you’re really fond of tags and stuff like that, I think you might enjoy giving it a go – I would definitely have fun reading your responses 😀
Oh smoothies are delicious. A good mango and banana one that’s so think it has to be eaten with a spoon?! YUS PLEASE. I’m actually not supposed to have coffee right now (IT IS TORTURE) but I’m relieving the deliciousness through this post. hehe. Anyway. I’m seeing Paper Towns around atm too because of the movie! John Green is seriously famous! NARNIA IS JUST INCREDIBLE. It’s so easy to accidentally eat half of it. Seriously, they’re so small and addictive and so timeless. :’)
I am not really into the tag posts, but I like this one a lot. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I never can say no to coffee 🙂 Either way, I really enjoyed this post and photos, thanks for sharing!
Why would ANYONE want to say no to coffee? SERIOUSLY. It is like the bloodstream of the literate. *nods even though that statement probably doesn’t make sense*
I LOVVVVEEEE coffee 😀 and tea but I’ve had coffee more lately! I love green tea, it’s just so great!! And Bigby is my favorite coffee store 😀 pairing books with coffee is just as good as pairing books with chocolate! Both sound great to me! Anyways, I’ve seen The Fault in Our Stars a lot too. Also The Throne of Glass xD that’s another really popular one.
I’ve never been able to manage tea. I REALLY WANT TO THOUGH. Because it’s so good for you, right?! Particularly green tea? My parents are always drinking tea and I just sit there moodily because I can’t and I want to, lol. Someone talk sense to my taste buds. JAFDLKASD TO THRONE OF GLASS. I actually never see it anywhere in Australia but I wish I did because it’s sooooo good.
Yay for another lover of hot chocolate! I, too, will take hot chocolate over coffee any day. During this past winter I basically had a big cup of hot chocolate at least every other day. It was quite crazy. Narnia fits hot chocolate perfectly, especially because the first book has a ton to do with winter, and both hot chocolate and Narnia are childhood necessities.
Pfft, in winter I have a hot chocolate every day. xD I CAN’T HELP IT. So much warmness and deliciousness. Although I make my on coconut milk so it’s like, kinda, healthy?! SHHH. Don’t ruin any illusions. xD
I am always eager to receive an email update from you. They always make me laugh! You have such a great and funny way to explain and discuss things, it’s very authentic and entertaining. The coffee idea is a great one and I already added books from it to my TBR pile of found myself totally agreeing to your statement.
So thanks for making my day!
Have a wonderful Sunday
Kati
Aww, that is so so nice to hear, Kati!! THANK YOU. *flails wildly*
COFFEE COFFEE COFFEE. I loveeee coffee. Of course, I also enjoy tea (peppermint especially; I’m a mint person) but coffee is great for writing or reading or otherwise. There’s a coffee shop /right/ by the library, a ten minute walk/five minute bike ride away from my house, and it’s cozy and adorable and they have CANDY BAR FLAVORED COFFEE. It’s magic. So I either like it like that, or really black if it’s at home.
I’ve seen TFiOS everywhere, as well. Hunger Games, too, and anything from the Mortal Instruments series.
Oh wow, just yum and wow, basically. (Yes and definitely to The Hunger games. I feel like we’re all getting ready for Mockingjay by plastering the books everywhere?!)
CAKE I LOVE TAGS but half my answers are gonna be the EXACT same as yours XDD BUT TAGS. I’m actually behind on a tag that I got like… weeeeks ago. *shame*
anywho THANK YOU THIS IS BEAUTIMOUS
Don’t feel pressured to do it though!!! XD I WILL UNDERSTAND.
Hot Chocolate is ten times better than coffee. But that might be because when I make it I use sweetened
baking cocoa instead of hot chocolate mix. BUT IT MAKES IT INFINITY BETTER.
And this is a pretty cool tag. I LIKE IT. I agree with out about the Splintered thing. Wonderland is cool to dream about, but with my luck I’d be eaten by one of the flowers or something.
OHhh, you’re making my mouth water here. CHOCOLATE IS GOOD. That is all.
I stand with you in agreement, Cait– HOW DARE THEY SAY HOT CHOCOLATE IS FOR CHILDREN. Actually I remember literally reading something in a history book once about how the colonial children used to “drink coffee while hot chocolate was reserved for the adults” xD fun fact. And props because I love black coffee too! Hardcore writers for the winn!
Omg. I’m clearly born in the wrong era. SOMEONE TAKE ME TO COLONIAL TIMES. I NEED MY HOT CHOCOLATE.
I drink my coffee black too!!!!! (But when it’s stale or instant coffee, then it doesn’t taste as good black, and I put stuff in then.) And Earl Grey and hot chocolate are pretty much the best as well!!!! High five on being a Peter Pan/Alice in Wonderland fan–you are now my favorite person for the day.
I too have been discouraged by some of the things I’ve been hearing about the Game of Thrones show, but I’m thinking maybe some of the grosser stuff makes more sense in the book? Sometimes important issues can be lost in the translation from book to screen? I dunno, but I do still want to read the books–sometime.
And yes, I have eaten a coffee bean. I’ve eaten them plain, and I’ve also eaten them dipped in chocolate (is there anything yummier, seriously?).
Like you, I’m a bit of a Scrooge. I hate most Christmassy literature (unless people die in the end). I just–I don’t do the warm fuzzies, okay? (PLEASE, NOBODY HIT ME!!!!)
What do you mean “for the day”? I’M SURE THAT’S A TYPO AND YOU ACTUALLY MEANT TO TYPE “FAVOURITE PERSON OF EVER AND ALWAYS”. < -- Doesn't that sound much better, yes? I'm really hoping the books stay golden because I really do like them even though Clash of Kings is lulling me to sleep. It's just the vastness of the world. LIKE OH MY GOSH. HOW CAN YOU EVEN INVENT ALL THIS STUFF?! It's so detailed. xD There is nothing better than chocolate coated coffee beans. Except for maybe mochas? NAH. Chocolate coated coffee beans win.
This is such a cool tag! And I totally get your boredom with A Clash Of Kings. I was stuck on the 200 page mark for a while, but eventually I just decided to get through it … and when I did … HOLY CRAP. It starts off very slow but really picks up and the last 200 pages are just incredible. Hang in their Cait! I believe in you!
Goddammit I still have to read Throne Of Glass. Come on Killian.
I will!! It’s getting a little more interesting now (basically whenever Tyrion has POV time) XD Bran is, unfortunately, being very boring, which sucks because he was epic in AGoT. YES YOU DO NEED THRONE OF GLASS. So much incredible assassiness and sass.
OMAGOD so excited to be tagged! I’ll have to go fetch my fancy (and by fancy, I mean “least cheap”) camera and take some coffee pictures! I have one brand in particular that’s called “Wake the F*** up.” Got that one in New Orleans when I was going to the RT Booklover’s convention.
But I digress! Narnia was a childhood favorite of mine, too. My father used to read my sister and I a chapter every night before we went to sleep. And I’m going to have to give City of Bones another try since you loved it so much!
YAAAY! I’M SO GLAD! I never know how likes tags or not, but I hoped you would. 😉 okay. Well. WOW to that coffee brand. Does it work, is the quesiton? 😉
I never wanted to open it because of the happy novelty of the package. Now that I think of it, I could probably just SAVE the package instead of letting good coffee go bad in my cupboard. But I always liked to think I’d find some good use for it. Like someone would be like “I just can’t seem to wake up. This coffee isn’t doing it for me.” and I can be like “try THIS!” But I guess I let my realism get in the way of my desire to not have things grow dust in my house. Maybe I’ll feature it on the blog! Then I’ll be free to drink it.
YES! BLOG IT! Blogging is such a release for these kinds of things. But you have to let us know the effects when you try it. 😉
It was nasty! So nasty I decided to not even feature it. I’m all done writing the post, but I haven’t posted it yet because I want to make my own picture for it and etsy is giving me problems with translucency. I’ll figure it out though, I’m sure.
I’m more of a tea person, actually. I’d much rather have a cup of high-quality tea than a cup of coffee. I do love the smell of coffee, though.
I’ve eaten chocolate-covered coffee beans, but I don’t think I’ve ever eaten a plain bean. Sounds like it would be boring.
Book I see everywhere… Probably the Throne of Glass series at the moment. Hey, it’s better than seeing Fifty Shades of Grey everywhere!
It was absolute TORTURE taking these photos, I tell you, because I was sniffing coffee beans the whole time. Ahhh. The PAIN I go through for this blog. 😉 It is kind of boring eating the plain bean. Much better covered in chocolate. AGREED on GoT over 50 Shades. *shudders*
Huge tea person here! I have a cup for breakfast and then we have an afternoon tea tradition in my family even though we’re not remotely British lmao I’m not really a coffee person and if I ever do have it, 90% it’ll be a really sugary cappuccino. Idk I have a bad sweet tooth hence why hot chocolate is one of my favorite things ever (although I do feel weird just ordering hot chocolate from Starbucks when everyone else is ordering these crazy long named drinks that I will never understand)!
Great answers btw ^^ And don’t worry about the horrible things happening in the Game of Thrones show because (a) they don’t happen in the books or (b) they are shown in a perverse way in the show but in a social commentary way in the books. The show writers seem to have a rape fetish or a horrible attraction to mistreating women whereas GRRM only shows mistreatment in a disgusting light to show how disgusting it is and not to sexualize it so it appears “sensual” ugh.
But hot chocolate is simply delicious. SIMPLY. Although, to be honest, I’ve heard of those crazy drinks from Starbucks and would be nearly tempted to try them if I ever stumbled into a starbucks. 😉 And yes! That’s what I thought….from this article that I read, it kind of indicated that. Because I thought GRRM was writing quite strong women, and yeah they’re abused, but they rise above it and continually be awesome anyway. The show really worries me that it’s ignoring that. :O
I’m more of a tea person, if I had to choose. Although, to be honest, I’m a bigger fan of H2O 🙂 I’ve tried coffee a couple of times in the past, but it just didn’t sit well with me….I don’t know if it’s just me, but I found it to be really bitter 🙁
Besides the obvious Harry Potter and Hunger Games, To Kill a Mockingbird seems to be a staple everywhere I go, too.
I looooove the bitterness. Oh gosh. I’m craving it now. (And I see you just did the chocolate tag, so I’m off to read that ASAP. xD hehe) Oh yes! I can imagine seeing HP everywhere would be normal. xD And definitely The Hunger Games. I’m sure it’ll start to get another big push when Mockingjay Part 2 comes out…
The Iron Giant gif! 🙂
I would agree about Splintered. I don’t know what is about it, but it definitely makes me wish there other realms to explore. 🙂
I see TFiOS every where also! But I see a lot if Rick Riordan’s books too. It doesn’t matter what store I’m in, there’s TFiOS and a Percy Jackson somewhere.
I don’t really drink coffe. Unless I’m at a restaurant and get a speciality coffee. Which is awesome because- chocolate! But I do love jasmine green tea with some honey.
The Iron Giant is my FAVOURITE. I watched that 2 million times as a kid. xD It’s weird, I don’t see much Rick Riordan in Australia! :O I mean, it’s definitely there, but we have Rangers Apprentice everywhere instead.
I actually don’t like coffee…or tea…so it’s basically just hot chocolate for me. 🙂 But I still like this tag! My friend keep trying to make me read Throne of Glass, but I haven’t yet. I would totally die in the Splintered version of Wonderland as well. *Shudders*
Hot chocolate is LIFE. I see no problem with loving it above all else. XD
YES TO ALL OF THESE. And your choices were perfect Cait!
HOW DARE THEY SAY HOT CHOCOLATE IS FOR CHILDREN? Hmph. I think I could live off of hot chocolate and pancakes too – haha. And I shame on me – I’ve only read The Lion, The Witch & the Wardrobe so I may not be fully versed in the awesomeness of Narnia, but I did really like that one. 😉
TFIOS = Starbucks. <— Most accurate statement of ever.
And I'm so proud of you for picking Tiger Lily. You know how much I ♥ that book! And “quietly beautiful” describes it perfectly. It’s almost as if you don’t realize how beautiful it is until you finish it and your heart’s ripped in half, you know?
Thanks for sharing! ♥
HOT CHOCOLATE IS THE GIFT OF THE UNIVERSE TO WE MORTALS. I mean, come on. Chocolate! In a cup! And I know! AHHH. I’m so glad you told me to go for it, because it is just gorgeous and I love the cover and the insides and fjdkals I feel like a reread just thinking about it. *happy sigh*
CAIT I READ WELCOME TO SHADOWHUNTER ACADEMY THE OTHER DAY. and your favourite character (plus an awesome scottish guy) just got even better . I like fruity herbal teas. I like coffee only if it is a) instant coffee, b) has sugar c) has milk and preferably d) has cream. I’m a unsophisticated person like that. I got my dad coffee beans for his birthday and I’m going to make them into chocolate covered coffee beans. I have had a plain cocoa bean (thanks cadbury factory!)but not coffee. I see throne of glass in a LOT of places, and sarah dessen and lauren oliver books.
FAJDKL I AM SO HAPPY. I LOVE CASSANDRA CLARE SO MUCH. (hehe, not that I eeeever mention that. XD Kidding!) I want more Simon and Magnus. Wait. Is Magnus in there?! I mean, I will survive if it’s just Simon and Isabelle focused BUT STILL. OMG chocolate covered coffee beans are divine.
I don’t understand what just happened here, I came for some bookish talk, and I am leaving with a really bad coffee craving. Thanks, Cait :/
I jest, I jest. I like this tag though, hopefully it’ll make its way to me one day! I love the choices, except The Sin Eater’s Daughter, which I am still sad that you didn’t like. And wait- they don’t’ have Starbucks in Australia!? I mean, I don’t love it or anything, I much prefer Dunkin Donuts, but STILL. Do you have any chain coffee shops? Is that a “thing”? And I see TFIOS everywhere too, I think they sell it in gas stations at this point 😉
YOU ARE SO SO WELCOME. But hey, at least I didn’t add cake in on top of this, right?! I’m being somewhat kind. #clearlyamthebest
We have Gloria Jeans and … Coffee Club? And Macdonalds?!! I think that’s about it. I think Starbucks is bigger in like Melbourne and Sydney? OKAY I’M GRASPING AT STRAWS HERE, I DON’T KNOW.
This is an awesome tag. Someday I shall do it on my blog, when I have read more books! Although I’m not a coffee person at all. Hot chocolate though–that I will drink year round! ^_^ Have you read The Night Circus? I just recently finished it and loved it! 🙂
~Jamie
Ooh, I hope you do! It is SO FUN. Because = coffee. But also hot chocolate. I drink it all year round too (sometimes with coconut milk instead of milk, which is surprisingly delicious) and noooo I haven’t read The Night Circus but I’d like to one day!
Ah, coffee! My one true love:) * sighs*
I love this tag! Thanks a lot for tagging me luv! I’ve already drafted my own post and I can’t wait to publish it:)!
Narnia! I love that series so much. I was so fascinated with the world and Lucy and Aslan were my favourites! (While I had this weird childhood crush on Edmund:))
And I really want to read Tiger Lily! It sounds so beautiful!:)
Omg, yes, EDMUND. I think I was 90% obsessed with Edmund, and then 10% with Narnia, hehe. I LOVED IT SO MUCH. Tiger Lily is absolutely gorgeous. And Peter Pan retellings are like almost always huge wins for me.
Gahhh I love coffee with an unhealthy obsession so I was excited to read your post even if it wasn’t *actually* about coffee! Would you care if I stole the tag and did it on my page, too? It looks like fun 😀
OMG DEFINITELY DO IT!!!! It’s a tag so it’s totally for everyone. ^_^
Love this tag!! I actually drink only decaf coffee because caffeine gives me migraines . . . . oh the horror!! But I could really have hot chocolate all day, every day and never, ever get tired of it. I love it.
TFIOS is everywhere . . . as is every John Green book. They are making movies out of all of them. But really, once you have read one John Green book, you have read them all.
THAT IS HORROR. WHAT PAIN. *gasps* I could have, like, a million hot chocolates a day but yes…sometimes I’m controlled. Winter undoes me though. The warmness is just so good. TFIOS FOR SURE. I’m seeing an influx of Paper Towns right now too. *nods*
I don’t drink tea either… it’s supposed to be good for you so I should probably get on that band wagon. Coffee is a no for me. It’s like beer – I refuse to acquire a taste for it.
Your pictures are always beautiful. I wish I had a decent camera like yours 😛
lol. The Sin Eater’s Daughter… I know you are bitter, but the way you wrote about how bitter you are reading from that book kind of makes me want to read it. I can’t tell if that was your plan all along.
I think I might try this tag although I don’t know if I can since well I don’t like coffee.
I see Fault in Our Stars everywhere too. It’s becoming ridiculous. That and Twilight/50 Shades of Grey.
Good cameras are GOLDEN. I have literally saved so long and fjsdklad it’s worth it. *flails* ANYWAY. Yes. Coffee is kind of an acquired taste. I wasn’t a fan at first, but omg, it’s so easy to get addicted to the delightful bitterness. MWHAHA. YES. Reverse-psychology?! 😉 The Sin Eater’s Daughter isn’t the worst book ever because it actually had a really good ending! So you should totally try it. 😉
I have never, ever had a sip of coffee in my entire life. Ha ha. What is wrong with me? 😛 I feel your pain with tags, though. I’ve been tagged for a loooooot of things, but I just forget, and then I feel terrible for forgetting, but you know, I DO always have the intention of doing tags. Eventually. 😉
WHAT. KARA. THERE IS A COFFEE SHAPED HOLE IN YOUR EXISTENCE THOUGH. You’ve never even had a coffee flavoured thing?! *mind boggles* We are good taggly intenders, right?! AGh, I need reminders for my reminders. -_-
OH GODS IS THIS THE TAG THAT’S MADE SPECIFICALLY FOR ME?!! Thank you for the tag! I love a well-creamed coffee and Starbucks has got to be my fave coffee shop of ever! I drink tea every once in a while and I absolutely adore matcha! I even created my own recipe of matcha gelato! YUM!
Hmm. I think I’m gonna have to answer the same thing for items #1 and #2. And as for the books, everyone sees all the time? I’d say TFIOS, too, but any of the Harry Potter books is one that easily comes to mind as well.
Loved this! Oh and both times I’ve read ASoIaF I’ve found Clash of Kings a bit boring, but the following books make up for that IMO 😉
I must say I LOOVE YOUR BLOG POSTS!! I wish I was as good as you.. seriously.. these pictures are BEAUTIFUL and your answers were amazing + you’re funny so.. hahaha
Anyways, I’m kind of disappointed that you didn’t like The Sin Eater’s Daughter.. I had extremely high hopes for that one. Kind of like Shatter Me.
I agree with you on most of the books on there! Literally. Especially with TFIOS. Agh, I’ve seen that book EVERYWHERE around when the movie came out. Also with Let it Snow, another book I’d pick for that one is Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares. Right?!! haahaha
Tiger Lily and Throne of Glass. I need to pick up that book and that series very very soon. :)♥
Great post!
– Jumana
I LOVED this post!!
I think I legit had a heart attack when I saw my name in the tagged-ones. Like. Wut. CAIT THE MAGNIFICENT TAGGED ME. *falls over* THANK YOU. I shall have to do this… *schemes* I’m not even a coffee person, and yet THIS POST WAS PERFECTION. ^_^ Also, I love how you are Scrooge. XD
Hello I just did this book tag on my blog! and I linked your blog on there too. haha great choice of books and I totally agree with you on TFIOS. 🙂
I am going to have to agree with you on the choice of TFiOS but I see Harry Potter everywhere MORE. Like whoa, that book is popular. And I have only read the first three still DD: I have the Narnia Chronicles so I should really start catching up on my childhood. I am reading the Spiderwick Chronicles at the moment in favour of this, because it needs to be done. Of, and the TMI series is the perfect blend of everything <3
I am very new to the whole world of tags, but I really enjoyed reading this (coffee is one of my favorite things in the world!) Your pictures are so pretty! How did you learn and practice to set up your photos like that? Where does your inspiration come from? I just started a book blog so am looking for help on sooooo many fronts right now. haha
Aww, thank you so much! I honestly just am all trial-and-error when it comes to photos.😂 I have no idea what I’m doing haha. Good luck with your blog!

Coffee-lovers/addicts, don’t hate!) […]
