Daylight savings has to be the weirdest thing about NSW. Though it might be a good thing while it’s happening, it’s a pain to adjust time zones.
It ended last night. So we’re on normal time. Now if the phone rings at nine o’clock, we can’t immediately say, “Queenslander!” Instead, it’ll probably be more like, “What kind of a person would call now?” Moving on.
I woke up at about seven this morning. Sorry six. That’s my body clock. I stayed in bed till eight thirty. Seven thirty. The only benefits I can see is that you get to go to bed and get up an hour later. It feels really wrong when it starts, going to bed at eight o’ clock.
So those who don’t have daylight savings, be glad. Those who do, I guess it’s not such a bad thing. Nice long sunny afternoons… A little bit of distinction that we’re farther in the future than Queensland. That sort of thing.
Now winter creeps in, rearing it’s claws. Pity it doesn’t snow here in compensation of the cold. Oh well. I get to get out my winter clothes now!

Rules are here.
