It’s all very exciting, I know. I’ve been drawing on and off for almost two years. Sometimes the pictures work out, and I’m happy, other times they look like Arwen sat around eating cake for three months prior to my drawing her. (I am not ever posting that picture on the Internet.)
And then… watercolour pencils. I’ve posted about their wonders before, but this time? I am happy with my picture. Mainly because I now use watercolour paper, and the result isn’t a wrinkled and crinkled mess.

Never has a Disney character exhibited such epic hair as Merida.I’m not sure I drew the wild hair quite right. It looks like she’s been in a rain storm: a bit too subdued. Still. I’m happy with her eyes.
And then I drew Vanellope Von Schweetz.

And I realized how much I need to learn how to use the scanner. In fact, I tried to delay this post until I could put up better image quality, but I gave up, because I’m preparing for the eisteddfods at the moment (next Monday.) And an orchestral workshop two weeks after that. Oh, and I’m learning to play the piccolo. For the orchestral workshop. In three weeks. This culminated to Vanellope looking a little… splotchy. Regardless, that is the best hand and body I have ever drawn. (She has three fingers for a reason, people. It was like that in the photo, I promise!)
