One of my unique talents is complaining how I don’t have “enough time to read” while doing something else when I could be reading.
Although RUMOUR HAS IT that it’s ok to have hobbies and interests outside of books???? Wow this is startling information. Usually I use my non-reading-free-time to have existential crises or eat small delicious cakes — but occasionally I do watch a movie or a TV show! Like a normal person! Woah!
Except I’m not the biggest fan of watching things. Why??? I have a list.
- I honestly feel guilty for watching TV when I cOULD BE READING OR WORKING. (I grew up with TV as an irregular occurrence.)
- hi. I’m actually a workaholic, it’s hard to tell.
- My TBR hates me as is. I feel it staring at me, watching, waiting, plotting to crush me in my sleep because I neglect it so.
- I actually get bored watching 3hr movies. (Confession: I barely read for longer than 1hr at a time. Sitting still and taking in information is hard work???)
- I do grow tired of certain aspects of average movies…how everyone is white/straight/neurotypical/super rich etc. etc. I probably don’t pick the right movies, but also availability of movies isn’t my forte. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I leech on my sister’s Netflix, but the selection is weird in Australia.
- YOU HAVE TO SIT STILL.
- People all look the same. Ugh. Why.
- I have a sensory disorder so, I won’t lie, I struggle with the sound. (I can’t go to cinemas.) My ears are bleeding with music one minute and then they’re whispering the dialogue. WHY.
Yet all that aside, I don’t mind watching things occasionally!
I find it helpful for writing in that you can observe body-language (super important to write about) and I love taking notes on how they do fast and witty banter.
Me @ me while telling myself it’s ok to take a break and watch something: IT’S WORK.
Ahem, yes, I don’t have problems.
Anyhow, today I want to talk about
5 Things I’ve Watched Recently vs 5 Things I’d Like To Watch Soon
and then actually ask for recommendations because I’ve been super tired lately and felt like watching things but also??? what??? to watch???? Making decisions is a curse I am not willing to bear.
Top Ten Tuesday: Bingeworthy TV Shows/Amazing Movies
1. TO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED BEFORE
Since this is one of my favourite ever books, of course I had to see the adaption! And they actually did it justice?! My faith is being mildly renewed in book-to-film adaptions?! I’m also secretly wildly pleased it went just straight to Netflix because then I could watching like everyone else instead of waiting 398 years for it to get out of the cinema! THANK YOU UNIVERSE. NICE UNIVERSE.
BEST THINGS: How absolutely ridiculously adorable was Lara Jean. I MEAN. I love her. I also adore Kitty (super annoying; 10/10 for little sister accuracy) and the settings were gorgeous (HER BEDROOM), and Peter Kavinsky was an adorkable thing. Also it was really true to the books!
EH THINGS: I feel like they didn’t make Lara Jean shy enough?? So it wasn’t as clear why she didn’t have lots of friends. Also frEAKING JOSH AND PETER LOOKED THE SAME. I still am so confused. (Also they weren’t actually that attractive lmaoooo.)
2. LOVE SIMON
See? The year of cute diverse YA adaptions apparently. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And I did have to wait for this one to come out of cinemas and I was thoroughly spoiled for it. (I mean YES I’ve read the book, but spoiled for the changes can still happen!) Still I loved seeing the world geek out with excite over this!
BEST THINGS: Funny! Cute! Pretty accurate to the books too! ALSO WHY DO ALL MOVIE TEENS HAVE SUCH EPIC BEDROOMS?! I WANT ONE. Also Blue is literally the cutest thing ever.
EH THINGS: I hated the ferris wheel scene. I was so so out-of-character for Blue. ALSO HERE WE GO AGAIN…making characters less shy?! I like shy people! Let us shy people live, ok!! And Martin was so freaking cringey I hAD TO LOOK AWAY. But that’s good acting on his part. But so. cringey. I nearly forgave him in the books, but in the movie arghhg I hate him.
3. THOR RAGNORAK
I’ve talked about this a bit in my recaps, bUT HEY. You want to see me flail over Thor and Loki!! Also possibly this is my favourite Marvel film now. (Iron Man is still top, but yet…) Possibly Taika Waititi should direct every movie ever. I even watched this TWICE in one year which is mind-blowing for me, your resident distracted gumnut with the attention span of a dying gnat.
BEST THINGS: The HUMOUR. It was so Australian! SO AUSTRALIAN. I lived for this. Also Thor was actually a giant Hufflepuff, and it was perfect, while Loki has matured so much. I genuinely love him and every time he stabs something he shouldn’t?? I still love him.
EH THINGS: NOTHING.
(Also to all the people who say it “wasn’t serious enough”…HAHA NO. YOU ARE WRONG. IT IS A GIFT TO A DYING WORLD.)
4. ALEX STRANGELOVE
I genuinely picked this off Netflix because (a) I was tired, (b) I wanted something brainless. WOW did I get the brainless. It wasn’t horrible, it was just…bad! I kind of feel it’s Netflix’s version of Love Simon? It just missed having good actors and a genuine or heartfelt storyline but oh well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
BEST THINGS: It is about not knowing how you identify, which I think is important, and there were plenty of cute fluffy scenes! Also there was one scene where Eliot just randomly is talking about how Jesus would have 0% of today’s attitudes towards queer people, and like that was so out-of-the-blue and REFRESHING. It’s barely a 10 second scene but it made me so happy.
EH THINGS: Dude. SO cringey. Also Alex’s friends were absolutely gross and can we just not have them??? They were also SO homophobic and then at the end they’re suddenly…not. Also Alex was super unlikeable and I genuinely CANNOT picture his face right now. I have to go look it up. I’m not joking, he is ultimate bleh…also mean. You can be confused about yourself but it doesn’t have to make you mean. And the plot was just partying, drinking, sex sex sex. I need an actual plot thanks.
5. BROOKLYN NINE-NINE SEASON 4
AKA the last season on Netflix (SOBBING, WHY DON’T THEY PUT ON THE OTHER SEASONS?!). I love this show! It’s absolutely stupid and fun and really wholesome. And diverse. Like over half the cast is POC! It’s just surprisingly unproblematic and it’s easy to accidentally watch 3989 episodes because it’s dumb. I love it.
BEST THINGS: Like everything. Jake’s character development is A+. Holt is fantastic. Amy is as stressed on the outside as I feel inside. ROSA IS THE QUEEN AND I LOVE HER LOOK AT HER HAIR SHE IS FLAWLESS AND HAS AN AXE. Gina is a gift. Charles is super gross. Terry is their mother. It’s just funny. I love funny!
EH THINGS: Seriously every scene with Hitchcock and Scully are awful and let me just fling myself into the abyss. Gross.
You know how I said I was going to list 5 shows I should watch? HAHAA. MAYBE I’LL LIST MORE. I genuinely am just here to break my own rules these days.
But please give me recommendations! (Preferably recs on Netflix! Though I can watch elsewhere sometimes!)
How about you forget all those shiny new ones and re-watch Psych? 😂
Everyone has been hyping up B99 so much they I’m scared to watch it now. 😭
Fun post as always, Cait! ❤
*that I’m *dies of embarrassment*
DON’T TEMPT ME.😂😂Actually maybe I just should omg I love that show so much. But you must try B99!! I promise it’s worth the hype haha.
Okay, I’m starting that next. 😂
OH MY GOD NANDINI DON’T GET SCARED OF THE HYPE AND WATCH IT YOU WILL BE ADDICTED OMG
You should definitely watch Guardians of the Galaxy because it’s hilarious and the visuals are wow. Also, it’s similar to Thor Ragnarok 😉 + watch The 100 BC IT’S SO STABBY AND DARK AND THERE’S SO MUCH DEATH AND DESTRUCTION. yay fun
I’ve also watched Everything, Everything and it was okay I guess…The book is obviously better, but the movie doesn’t bring much to the story so I’d say maybe leave it for later… When you have absolutely nothing else to do and you’re dying out of boredom XD ,
A Monster Calls is also a cool one. The visuals are stunning, and it’s all so dark and creepy *u*
I saw the first Guardians but not the second yet.😂 Or Civil War…so I am like REALLY behind lmao. 😂 I will catch up though, so I can get to Infinity War (I know the spoilers though *sobs*).
And I MUST watch The 100. I also didn’t like Everything Everything as a book though? But I like the actors of the movie so I don’t knoooow.😂
I recently watched “The Gifted”. It’s a marvel series based on mutants and OH MY GODS! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! yes, some scenes were somewhat cringy but the character development is awesome! Season 2 starts this September!!! Can’t wait!!!
P.S.: I love love love Ur bookstagram!!
OH! I have heard of that one and then forgot about it.😂I love Marvel so I should check it out (also thanks sooo much I’m glad you enjoy my insta!)
I love the Gifted!!
I’ve started watching Brooklyn nine-nine yesterday and watched two episodes and oh boy, I am hooked 😀
And girl, you need to watch The Black Panther. That movie is the mother of diversity (if that’s a thing) 😛 It is so good with incredible actors.
I watched Guardians of Galaxy first part many years ago. I too have to watch the second movie.
Isn’t it adorable?!😂B99 makes me laugh SO much and it’s so dumb and I love it. And yesss I will definitely get to Black Panther! I’m glad Marvel is finally getting some diversity into their films (but I kinda feel angry it took them so long?)
The first season of The 100 was really interesting, but at the end of season two it kind of turns into torture porn. And I really don’t know why they had to push it that far and show people being tortured constantly? It was already intense enough and suspenseful enough without that level of visual detail. So that put me off and I really couldn’t get into season three. So I vote yes for season one, but just be prepared if you get into it that it’s going to get really grotesquely bloody and in ways that start to feel unnecessary.
Aw I understand that! I don’t usually get freaked out with violence movies (I’ve watched a fair bit of Game of Thrones too.😂Still need to finish S6 though…) but yeah sometimes they go overboard.
Yeah, GOT doesn’t bother me and I’m a big Dexter fan, so I can certainly get past violence for a good story, but The 100 pushed it too far for me.
Wow if it’s more than GOT I’m worried 😂😂
Thor Ragnarok is perfection. Like, seriously, look up the word perfection in the dictionary and there is a picture of the poster. Brooklyn Nine Nine is a gift from the God of comedy. I’m watching The Good Place now and I love it. I tried The End of the F***ing World but I couldn’t get past…I think episode three? Something happened in it that made me nope right out of there. I don’t know if you like animated stuff, but I just finished watching Disenchantment and that had some great twists towards the end. Ooh! And I got addicted to Friends during university. I blame my lecturer for that – I had to watch it because she wouldn’t stop referencing it in class.
THIS IS AGREE WITH SO MUCH. Oh and for End Of The F*cking World…it is…so weird.😂SO WEIRD. I actually kind of hated it but just wanted to see what would happen, and by the end, I really cared about them? And the end messes you up so I am here for that. (SHH NO I DON’T HAVE PROBLEMS.)I don’t really watch animated stuff, but I can still check out Disenchantment!
I totally get what you mean about feeling guilty watching something when you could be reading. It’s how I feel in work. So much time wasted when there’s so many books that need reading 😂
I think I’m one of the few people that disliked the TALBILB book. But I did absolutely love the movie, it was super cute. I’m tempted to read the other two books just to get more of the characters (and it might grow oh me.)
Taika Waititi is my absolute fave! There’s a rumour he’s going to direct the third Guardians film so at least it’s gonna be in good hands if that’s true. Thor: Ragnarok is my fave Marvel movie ever!
I’ve been watching iZombie lately, it’s hilarious!
WE ARE TOGETHER IN THIS. 😂It’s just…shouldn’t every spare minute be fore books? (I say, having come directly from aimlessly scrolling twitter anyway. Lmaoooo.) I’m glad you liked TALBILB movie at least! I am so obsessed with the books, but not every book is for everyone haha.
(Omg I want him to direct ALL the films so I hope he gets Guardians 3!!)
Yeah I’m bad about watching movies myself. I don’t always like sitting still for 2+ hours these days yet I still want to watch the movie. I am really behind on the Marvel movies and I saw Netflix finally got Black Panther so I’ll probably watch that one this weekend! Nice picks here though!
Here’s my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Sooo relate.😂 Like movies are getting LONGER and sitting still is hard.😂 But omg Netflix has Black Panther?? This is helpful.
I’m clueless when it comes to tv and movies, so thank you for your ideas!
Aww, I’m glad you enjoyed this list!
I relate to you so much with the cinema thing! It’s so hard to go to the cinema. I have trouble sitting through movies too, particularly anything over 2h long. I rarely read in longer sittings, I struggle to stay concentrated for more than a few minutes (I have autism and ADD). I often get distracted during movies and TV shows too and I much prefer it when there are (English) subtitles. Our internet is way too slow for Netflix, so there are a lot of things I can’t watch. I buy DVDs or Blu-rays of anything I’m really excited for (and can afford), because we don’t have a TV connection. So I can only watch something if it comes out on disc and not on Netflix.
I really liked Thor Ragnarok, such an awesome movie. I would recommend Black Panther also, I thought it was quite good. I loved all the African influences and in particular a few female characters in it. Would recommend :).
I look forward to seeing Love, Simon. The DVD/Blu-ray should be out in a while. I’m hoping that To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before will come to disc also, so I can buy it and watch it. I haven’t seen A Monster Calls or Wonder yet but I do have the Blu-rays for those. Am looking forward to disc versions of the more recently released movies in cinemas.
Omg I’m definitely just going to come and stand with you here. 😭💛Autistic struggles unite. *hi fives* And it’s just so hard to focus honestly??? Like I WAY prefer to pick TV shows over movies if I am going to watch something just because it’s shorter and the plot is more concise. 😂Also books are easier because they tell you what people are feeling and movies you have to figure it out. I am…not good at body language and expressions.😂
I do need to watch Black Panther for sure! I kind of need to catch up so I can finally see Infinity War (although I’ve been spoiled and AM UNHAPPY WITH MARVEL RIGHT NOW).
I prefer TV shows over movies too! An episode is much shorter than a movie. I find books the easiest too! I love that in a book you can learn easily what a character feels and thinks.. in movies and TV shows you have to figure it out from body language and I agree, that is so hard for me too. I’m not good at it either.
Awww I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been spoiled! I’m waiting for the disc release of Infinity War, and gladly have managed to avoid most spoilers so far (though I have unfollowed a couple of people on InstaGram because they were spoiling without warning).
Ooooh I LOVED Thor Ragnorak it’s such a little gem and I love it so much! Also the Good Place was amazing and I literally devoured it in like two days! Watch Black Panther you’ll love ittttt it’s honestly one of my favourite Marvel films and it was just so AAAARGH – I can’t – I can’t it was fabbbbbbulous. I also just rented Wonder and was literally crying from start to finish so WARNING if you’re gunna watch it get yourself a box of tissues because you’re gunna weeeeeeeeeeeeep! Lovely post Hun, have a lovely day 🙂 xx

YES SO MUCH TO LOVE HERE. I’m beginning to realise I really gravitate towards comedy instead of action these days. *shakes fist at short attention span* 😂😂 But I do want to get to Black Panther…and then, eventually *swallows* Infinity War.
It’s been a while since I actually watch a western TV show, I’ve been watching a lot of k-dramas lately haha! The latest one I’ve watched is Reply 1988, which is about 5 friends that grew up in the same neighborhood in the 1988 and the experience they go through, from first love through family problems. It’s so calming and nostalgic, it’s actually kinda sad haha. I want to watch Victoria or the Crown though, I’ve been wanting to watch some historical drama!
I’ve heard a lot about k-drama.😂Maybe I should check it out haha.
I love guardians of the galaxy but volume 2 was a bit weaker. A Monster Calls is great and it rips your head out. Completely up your alley then haha. Black Panther was great too. <3
If you want to go back and watch some older things V and Fringe are a lot of fun.
The Monster Calls BOOK ripped my heart out, so clearly I need to do it twice.😂
I started watching The 100 last week and I’m already halfway through season two it is EXCELLENT.
I can’t wait for The Good Place to come back.

Ahh I really just need to start it for sure!
Lol I haven’t watched any of these, I don’t have Netflix so I just watch whatever happens to be on normal TV, which is how I always end up watching re-runs of TV shows from the 2000s that no-one has heard of anymore, and I never watch the things that everyone else is always talking about… lol. I really want to watch Brooklyn 99 though, I’ve heard so many awesome things about it! I’m currently watching The Flash, the first season was SO GOOD, I loved it, but I’m watching the second season now and I feel like it’s not as good as the first, and the plot’s just gotten way too complicated?? Idk.
I don’t watch a lot of movies, and the movies I do like are mostly comedy (my all-favourites are the Pitch Perfect movies, omgg I love them so much, plus anything Disney basically), for some reason I always get really bored when I try and watch sci-fi or fantasy movies? Which is odd because I love sci-fi/fantasy TV series. I think I just don’t have the attention span to follow a complex plot for more than about an hour, so after a while I get bored and confused 😂
Andrea @ https://spaceshipsvampiresandsecretagents.blogspot.com/
Brooklyn 99 is worth it, trust me!! And haha, I mean I do know the feel.😂I only started leeching on my sister’s netflix like last year so up until then I only saw things if I got them from the library.😂Which is…not good if you want new stuff. However VERY good for Leverage! Omg I miss that show.
Recently I watched and enjoyed season one of The Sinner, the most recent season of The 100,and I just started The Flash. Those are all recommended. I also recommend Pop Star (the Lonely Island movie) Its hilarious and perfectly skewers the source material and is emotional. Have you seen The Almighty Johnsons? It seems like something you would love. I loved TATBILB, I overthought about the adaptation process for a long time after watching it but that is something I generally do and really I have only positive feelings on it. Its the best adaptation I’ve seen in a while, possibly ever.
someone else mentioned The Flash too so I should try that one! I haven’t seen The Almighty Johnsons so I shall look it up.😂
Ok, of the ones above…
Guardians 2 is … meh. I found some of it problematic, mostly the ramming romance down peoples throats when they DO NOT SEEM INTO IT. And the abuse that is trying to be humour between Drax and Mantis.
Everything Everything is not good. I would like those few hours of my life back.
Black Panther is EVERYTHING. You will adore Shuri, trust me.
Shadowhunters is mixed. The first season is LAUGHABLY TERRIBLE. But then suddenly season 2 starts and it magically isn’t as sucky?! I loved it, but fair warning that the first season is a bit of a slog, but I promise it gets better. Also Simon. That is all.
But isn’t Marvel EXCELLENT at ramming unncessary romance down people’s throats?!😂*rolls eyes at whatever girl they were trying to put Steve with* They need to remember it’s ok to not have a romance plotline! And I actually hate the Everything Everything book but was hoping the movie might improve my feelings. Probably not then?😂😂
I ALREADY LOVE SHURI FROM ALL THE RANDOM CLIPS I’VE SEEN.
URGH, YES. I wanted to throw things when he made smoochies in Civil War. They really really do, because it is SO MUCH BETTER when they stop with that. Oh you and me both on the hating Everything, Everything! I couldn’t work out what I was missing that everyone else seemed to see! If possible, the film is worse, do not recommend, no fun at all. IF YOU ALREADY LOVE SHURI THEN YOU ARE ALL SET. GO FORTH AND WATCH!
OH CAIT. I think people get tired when I say this but… YOU JUST HAVE TO REWATCH SHERLOCK. I still rewatch it (even though I have lots of movies and shows to watch) because it gives me different feels and let’s not pretend here: Sherlock is great. Benedict Cumberbatch is great. Basically I will die for that show.
I ALSO WHOLLY AGREE WITH THE THOR RAGNAROK LOVE. It’s my most watched mcu film (already watched it 4 times this year cause I’m a demon) and I will gladly sign a petition for Taika Waititi to direct more mcu films (gotg3 please?)
and pls don’t get mad but I haven’t read nor watched TATBILB (not much of a contemporary reader here) but I’m not closing any doors. Maybe I’ll read it someday.
Classics you should watch: Fight Club and Interview with the Vampire
Series worth watching: How To Get Away With Murder, The Good Doctor, Black Mirror
IF NOTHING ELSE WORKS, REWATCH THE HARRY POTTER FILMS. OR WATCH SHERLOCK.
I actually haven’t seen the latest Sherlock season ahah.😂I have some issues with how Sherlock is portrayed since they actually labelled him autistic…he is…kind of not the greatest rep (plus he’s a jerk and everyone let’s him be because it’s quirky?) Ehhh. But I still do like it!! And I want to see it again!! And THOR CAN BE WATCHED A MILLION TIMES SINCE IT IS PERFECT.
CAN I ADMIT I’VE NEVER SEEN THE HARRY POTTER FILMS.😂
Um, I watch sooooo much. But mostly over the weekends. I really, really like watching Game of Thrones, but you’ve watched that before! Another couple of fave shows, Poldark which is on PBS. The main guys hair is beautiful 😂
And I also really, really like Rome by HBO. It was the most expensive series HBO did until Game of Thrones and it’s super cooL! The first season is all about Julius Ceasar and the second is the conflict between Augustus and Antony. BUT it’s told through the eye of these regular roman soldiers who have smol hearts and must be protected. Also, cool fact, the Roman Soldier dude’s wife, is played by Indira Varma from Game of Thrones. 😍
Hmm…OH! Troy, Fall of a City is on Netflix and it’s SUPER GOOD. And Odysseus is played by the same guy who is Benjen Stark on game of thrones. And I think they’re going to do a second series based on the Odyssey and the Aenead? It makes me HAPPY. And the guy who plays Aeneas. is Alfred Enoch, who is Dean Thomas from Harry Potter!
Haha, I love tying all these actor people together ESPECIALLY when they are in some of my favorite shows. And I really love historical dramas, so that’s what my recs list is stocked full of 😂 And SCANDAL because OLIVIA POPE is AMAZING. But it’s very American? Though I think OLIVIA POPE is a universal icon 😂
I actually STILL need to finish watching GoT.😂I don’t know why, but I keep pausing mid season?! I’m like in S7 and watched an episode where not everything ended horribly so I was like…”yep, stopping here now.”😂 I’m WEAK. Aww but I am interested in this Rome then!! That sounds like something I would like! And Troy?! LOOKING THESE UP.
OKAY BUT WHY HAVEN’T YOU WATCHED BLACK PANTHER??? it’s literally the movie of the year, I will fight people on this. TATBILB was absolutely amazing. I felt the same about Lara Jean, I mean… no matter how desperate I was, if I’m introverted and shy I wouldn’t have been able to do about half of the things she did.
BECAUSE SITTING STILL IS HARD, SAVANNAH.*cries* 😂😂
And yeah as much as I LOVE the Lara Jean movie, the book made it make more sense? Because you know…she never put herself out there BECAUSE she was an introvert and super shy. But in the movie she wasn’t AS shy so it didn’t actually make sense why she’d never had a boyfriend and only had one friend?
Aww I’m so glad you liked TATBILB! I’m sooo excited to watch that one, I keep meaning to but then forgetting lol. I’ll have to get my friends to watch it with me. Although I do kind of want to read the book first so I can experience both?
And Thor Ragnarok, The Black Panther, and A Wrinkle in Time were all soooo good!!! I absolutely loved the diversity in a Wrinkle in Time!! And I’m with you on wanting to watch Everything Everything – I thought the book was super cute!
You should watch Pete’s Dragon on Netflix when you get a chance – it’s such a cute movie and Disney’s been doing really well with their live action adaptions of the classics! Thanks for all of the recommendations, Cait!
IT’S SO CUTE, GO WATCH IT KAILEY!! *flails* Although I definitely recommend still reading the book because it’s still better.😂 Also omg I’m so happy they made A Wrinkle In Time full of WOC leads. Like about time!! That makes me want to see it more.
AWw I should! I remember the Pete’s Dragon with the animation + people from yeeears ago.😂
Girl, Everything Everything was the most heartbreakingly beautiful story, but that might be because (for once) I didn’t read the book before watching the movie. I binge read the Lara Jean series, the week before the movie came out and loved it. Also, Shadowhunters is great, not 100% like the books and I sorta didn’t mind it at all – Malec is still the sweetest couple ever!! Netflix specific, check out Bright – they are making a sequel and I cannot wait for it… That was a surprising watch for me. Also, First Daughter was such a cute movie.
I actually have read the Everything Everything book but kind of didn’t love it so I was hoping the movie might change my mind😂 I do love those actors haha. And I really want to see Malec! I was sad that totally got scrapped in the movie but I guessss they didn’t have time?
Malec was not that big of a thing in the movie, yes. But you’ll love the series version, they are the sweetest. You’ll probably yell at them a bit while watching the series… (You’ve been warned)! Also, the movie Everything, Everything was good – I enjoyed it. If you watch Bright, let me know what you thought? ♥
I don’t watch much TV either! It’s also because I’m a workaholic and feel like I should be doing something important all the time. I also have a terrifying TBR mountain that I should spend more hours managing. I haven’t seen any of the things you watched or want to watch. I’d like to see Love, Simon someday. I really liked the book.
Yesss workaholics unite…if wE CAN BUT WE PROBABLY CAN’T STOP WORKING TO DO SO. *cries in workishness* 😂 But like the TBR stops for no one so I do feel bad if I’m not reading, even if I do need a break.😂
I tried watching Black Panther a couple months ago and I ended up shutting it off after just 30 minutes. It’s a LOOOONG movie and it just wasn’t doing anything for me. I’ve no doubt it’s a great film, but I couldn’t make it past the half-hour mark.
Haha I mean all the MCU movies are super long…which is why I procrastinate them SO MUCH. 😂It took me like 3 tries to finish Guardians of the Galaxy.😂
I feel like every time someone mentions “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” I am COMPELLED to fangirl about it all over again. Because I just love Jake and Amy and Holt and Terry and Rosa and Gina so much???? It is the funniest sitcom I have watched in ages. If you like that one, I highly recommend “New Girl.” It’s not nearly as diverse, unfortunately, but it has a similar style of humor, I think, and characters who are just as awkward and adorkable. Nick and Schmidt’s character development is almost as good as Jake’s.
I wasn’t a gigantic fan of the change to the ferris wheel scene in “Love, Simon,” either. Like, I get that they had to do it to make it more “cinematic” or whatever, but the ending to Simon in the books was way better and more in character.
FANGIRL WITH ME, KATE. IT’S JUST SO FUN AND GOOD AND WHOLESOME.😂 And the characters are the best (except Charles I really hate him lmao). I have heard of New Girl! Probably has less crime in it though, right?😂I do like a little bit o’ crime…
Yeah I agree that they probably did it because it fit the movie more for Love Simon, but it’s just Simon was SO not coming out and then suddenly he’s making this HUGE display on top of a ferris wheel? Plus Blue was too shy for that. 😭Which is ok. I love them for that. Gah.
Ugh, sitting still! I agree! It’s so hard! I have two settings: stop and go. So when I sit down to watch a movie, I pretty much will not move except to breathe for the entire thing, and then I’ll be super stiff and sore when I get up.
Oh, good, I’m glad somebody else has the same thoughts about Josh and Peter from movie-TAtBILB!
I really enjoy Disney, Pixar, and movies from the 80s (Ladyhawke, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Back to the Future).
Omg and yes sitting still so long is just uncomfortable?! Also I have to wear headphones so like ughghgh nEVER COMFORTABLE.😂
An Josh and Peter were like TWINS. It was not helpful.😂
If you want to watch a TV show about criminals, (#me) you should look up White Collar.
Yes! I saw the first season! I didn’t think it was as good as Leverage though.😂
You should watch A monster calls and wonder they both will break your heart but its worth it.
My favourite tv show is Dr Who, (specifically the 11th doctor) it’s an epic story about the Dr who is a time traveler. It’s AMAZING. YOU NEED TO WATCH IT.
I already love both of the books so yess I’m definitely wanting to see how the movies match up! And I unfortunately haven’t ever seen any Dr Who?😂 So I’m not sure if I can jump in on the new season.
You can start with any season, the order doesn’t matter. There are 13 dr’s (until now) and you can start with anyone. BTW the first season was out in 1964, it’s so old.
Ha ha, I’m the total opposite of you, I watch like all the things and then complain because I have run out of things to watch! I LOVE Brooklyn Nine-Nine and have watched the episodes on Netflix an embarrassing number of times already given that I only started watching it last year. I thought To All The Boys I Loved Before was super cute, though I haven’t actually read the book. I loved The Good Place (there’s a second season and a third coming out soon, if you liked the first one) and A Series of Unfortunate Events was also great. You should definitely watch A Monster Calls, it’s super good. Ooh recommendations? I don’t really know what’s available on Netflix Australia, but I think you’d like One Day At A Time, it’s funny, diverse and has super good mental health rep, and it’s only got two season with half hour episodes so it’s not something that requires a lot of time investment/sitting still.
YES. I am waiting anxiously for more Good Place.😂Isn’t it S3 we’re waiting for though?😂Or else I’m majorly confused lmao.
I’ve heard a few people mention One Day At a Time so I’ll see if we have it!
I loved both Black Panther and Wonder so I would definitely recommend both of those! Also Guardians of the Galaxy 2! I might have to start watching B99…I feel like everyone on the internet is in love with it. And omg I also LOVED tatbilb
I will get to them for sure then ahhhh. And I really liked GG1 so I don’t know why I haven’t seen 2 yet.😂
I have watched Black Panther 3 times, and it is my favorite Marvel movie. IT IS JUST SO FRESH AND COOL AND GORGEOUS. And there is no sign of the Masculine Man from Masculine Town, but instead, Actual Deep Character. *gasp* imagine that.
I want to write a whole essay on why Black Panther is the best, but…alas, no one is asking for that.
WHAT IS THIS AMAZINGNESS???? NO TOXIC MASCULINITY??? I AM IN SHOCK.
Me: I need to read more!
You: *creates a post about how to not read more*
I’d recommend trying Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 if you want something funny and just fun and Black Panther if you’d like something that’s smart and refreshing. (Guess who’s the Marvel junky here who’s favorite movie list is about 86% Marvel). I love the fact that most that literally all the ones you want to watch are based off books (Marvel counts, comic books). Like person: just do something outside of books ok? *watches movies and tv based off books* also I haven’t watched it myself but I have a few friends who really like The 100 so maybe try that.
Also have you watched The Flash? It’s on Netflix, I recommend it.
I’M SORRY.😂 I’m the actual worst here. I also…need to…read more?? Like I read so much and yet somehow I don’t read enough. *throws self into the next dimension screaming*
I do need to catch up on all of the MCU tbh. I haven’t even seen Civil War yet.😂I don’t like mY DARLINGS FIGHTING. Actually I hate Captain America (I’m sorry) so I avoid his movies.😂
I haven’t done the Flash yet either!
I like Brooklyn Nine-Nine quite a bit as well.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
It’s so adorkable.😂
I love both Supernatural and The Good Place! But I’m with you – I’m really not much of a TV/movie watcher either. I watched so much as a kid – mom didn’t like us outside while she was working – so I burned myself out. But then, I found myself making four lunches every morning before work and was so bored. So, I started watching DVDs on my computer (which led to Netflix) and suddenly it’s perfect – I’m doing something AND watching a show. Who knew?
Ah that’s good that you’re multitasking! I feel like I was the opposite since I rarely watched as a kid…but like I’ve never been in the habit? If you have a spare moment, my family was always: “READ A BOOK THEN.” Hence I am how I am. 😂
My mom was much the same way and, unless I got to the TV first, I often found myself reading. With an older brother and a younger sister, I was often outvoted. 😀 I
I adore To All The Boys I Loved before. Good choices.
It was just so adorable.😍😍
YASSS WATCH GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY TWO ITS AMAZING
And I need to see black panther, and infinity war, and antman and the wasp, and just about everything. *long sigh*
Watch recommendations….well, the only thing I can think of is this YouTube channel my bff introduced me to, it’s called studio c, and they have hundreds of really funny videos that are really addicting lol.
Most crazily, ~Olive
I WILL! I WILL! I’m kind of ashamed I’m so behind on the MCU.😂I need to watch Civil War too hhaa.
I clearly need to watch/read “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” . . . and YOU, my friend, need to watch “Crazy Rich Asians.” SERIOUSLY.
IT. IS. BRILLIANT. A+ for diversity, A+ for complex female characters, A+ for sweet wholesome relationship where the people actually behave like adults . . . and sooooooooooooooooooooo hilariously funny. I really, really do think you’d love it.
Well I will.😂But like I said, I can’t got to cinemas so I obviously need to wait till it’s out for rent.
Ooooooooooh yes, I hope it comes out for rent soon!!
I thought Peter was cute was but Josh…not so much. The whole time I was just thinking that it wasn’t a hard to decide between the two LOL. Also YES to all the cute bedrooms!! Why are Simon and Lara Jean’s bedrooms both versions of perfection? Like my bedroom has never looked that cute, and to be honest, never will.
I’m just gonna put this out there…. Everything, Everything was not good and super cringey. I whole-heartedly recommend The 100 though! That is my SHOW. Also, if you want some super dramatic TV, I recommend How to Get Away with Murder, Grey’s Anatomy, or Scandal. They all have kick ass women and are super entertaining! The second season of The Good Place is finally on Netflix! I’m in the US though, so I don’t know if it’s the same in Australia. I’m currently watching it right now and it is wonderful. 🙂
I know right?! Plus Josh was really awful the whole time and kind of entitled bleh. And omg I want Simon or Lara Jean’s rooooom. Why do these kids get amazing rooms afjdsklad please someone transport me to those sets.😂
I probably won’t bother with Everything Everything then.😂I hated the book, actually, but I like the actors? So I was torn if it might actually make me like the book better lmao. I shall do the The 100!! And oh yeah in Australia we have S2 of The Good Place so I’ve seen it! LOVED it! Can’t wait for mooooore.
Oh I loved To All The Boys and love, Simon so much but I agree, why don’t they let shy people just be shy???? That’s quite annoying.
I LOVE THE GOOD PLACE SO MUCH AHHHH I can’t wait for this show to be back this September, I am so, so impatient – and Chidi is me, like, really, I can relate, haha.
I watched Everything, Everything, but thought the movie lacked some… depth, somehow? It was an okay adaptation, but it felt a bit sloooww and… well, I wasn’t entirely a fan of it all :/
Lovely post, Cait! 🙂
They are just SO cute. But it would just be nice if shy people didn’t have to end up being “less shy” by the end right?! We nice shy people are jUST DOING OUR BEST. 😭😂 But afjdsakld The Good Place is amazing and I can’t wait for it! I bet my sister will not be impressed if I don’t wait for her uni holidays to see it though…I can sneak two watches maybe…😂
I actually didn’t like the Everything Everything book BUT I like the actors of the movie so I’m torn.
Thor really is a giant Hufflepuff! I never thought of it, but that’s exactly it. Ragnarok was hilarious and wonderful. And that’s the second time today someone has recommended The Good Place, so the universe is clearly nudging me to watch it.
He’s so loyal and protective even when Loki is like in the midst of stabbing him.😂I LOVE THOR SO MUCH AFTER RAGNORAK.
‘Possibly Taika Waititi should direct every movie ever.’ – I second that statement! He’s so awesome! 🙂
Movies would be just SO much better that way.😂
Cait. Cait. WHY HAVEN’T YOU WATCHED WYNONNA EARP YET. It’s my favorite thing and I adore it. I’ve been pitching it to people as Supernatural plus snark minus the queerbaiting and frequent and violent murders of female characters.
You may also like on day at a time? It’s on Netflix and it’s a romcom and one of the few tv shows I’ve watched with a laugh track that doesn’t make me want to scream.
And Galavant! It’s a show that got cancelled too soon, but it’s a medieval musical but it’s so self aware and knows all the tropes and the humor is a+. If there was one cancelled show I could bring back it would be this one. Or dirk gently.
AINE. I ACTUALLY DON’T KNOW WHY I HAVEN’T SEEN IT YET. IT’S ON NETFLIX AND EVERYTHING. OK I’M GONNA AND I’LL REPORT BACK. 😂
I disliked the ferris wheel scene in Love, Simon as well. I would have liked it more if it had just been in private. I did like the rest of the movie, though! Love The Good Place and Stranger Things!
It was just really out of character for both of them since they were shy/reserved people?! And I kind of felt it almost was saying if your love is “real” you have to make a BIG declaration. Which just isn’t true!😭
Yes to watching Black Panther! It’s one of my favorite Marvel movies. I have several Netflix shows on my list this week. The 100 is good but I’m 3 seasons behind. I need to catch up!!
And I just saw Black Panther is now up on Netflix so I KNOW WHAT I’M DOING. 😍😍
Haha!! DO IT!!! enjoy! 😁
The Boys movie is one on our list to watch at home.. Thor is among my top favorites as well (though I would start listing most of the MCU movies soon!!).. …What about Marvel’s Jessica Jones or the Daredevil on Netflix?
I did try Jessica Jones but I was really bored.😂I should go back to Daredevil though because I watched ep 1 like…2 years ago.😂 I LOVE AGENT CARTER THOUGH.
🙂
I haven’t read To All the Boys… and really didn’t think it was something I would like, but everyone keeps going on about it, so might have to have a nosy…
I mean, it is just the CUTEST but probably not for everyone because it’s pure fluff.😂 But sometimes I actually enjoy mindless things haha.
BROOKLYN NINE-NINE IS THE BEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN TO THE WORLD. <3
And I'm so happy to see The Good Place here, I really enjoyed the last season, and can't wait for the next! 🙂 As for recs … I need to finally watch The Book Thief, because I LOVED the book, and I have a feeling it's going to make me dissolve in tears.
IT IS AND I’M SO GLAD IT DIDN’T GET CANCELLED BECAUSE THE WORLD PROBABLY WOULD’VE ENDED.
Aww The Book Thief movie is excellent!! You should definitely try it (I may have…nearly cried)
I think I’m probably the only person in the world who hated Thor Ragnarok 😅 I liked the older Thor movies better and I thought the newer one was dumb? (don’t kill me pls) But it’s good that other people like it.
I STILL HAVEN’T SEEN TO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED BEFORE YET I’M SO TERRIBLE. It’s on my Netflix list waiting for me but I still haven’t watched it yet???
😂😂I will leave you alive but just GLARING FOREVER. (Lmao I’m kidding. I don’t even care or am that deeply invested in the MCU anymore to care about who likes what. Hahaha. *falls down a black hole*) But I hope you like To All the Boys when you watch it. SO CUTE THOUGH.
I have the hardest time watching movies as well. I love the *concept*, but I just don’t have the attention. I like to watch movies in 30-40 minute installments… haha. Other people don’t like that! I also can rarely read for longer than an hour at a time also! The ONLY show I’ve read on your lists is The Good Place and I love it so much. I’m still so hesitant to try out the new ASOUE and I’m not sure why? Some of favorite old-school shows that always work for me are Gilmore GIrls, I Love Lucy, and Murder, She Wrote. There are so many good shows out there that I’ve enjoyed, but if I just need to relax, those are what I go for!
omg relate SO MUCH. I love the idea of settling down with a movie and, like, popcorn or whatever is aesthetic. But I neither have popcorn nor patience so HERE I AM, sUFFERING. And I prefer to pause halfway through too! I just think they need to be faster-paced.😂
I really love the new ASOUE though. I think they did the books justice, although I stiiiiill love the movie with Jim Carey in it.😂
UGH I STILL need to read To All The Boys before I watch the movie! But I WILL THIS MONTH! I promise! I just need to get out of this slump and stop getting too distracted with everything else I want to do. XD
And out of the ones you want to watch, even though I liked some of them, knowing you I think that the only one that would be worth watching is Wonder. I REALLY liked it and it made me cry a couple times but laugh too. Though I didn’t read the book which was probably better cuz they always are, so I might not be the best judge. XD Also I’m kind of afraid there might be something problematic in there I totally missed like usual. XD So IDK I guess you won’t know until you try it?
IT’S SO CUTE AND GOOD AND WHOLESOME. 10/10 RECOMMEND.😂 And aww slumps suck though, so I do relate to that pain.
I really liked Wonder the book so I should like the movie!
You definitely need to watch A Monster Calls – and don’t forget the tissues. It’s an excellent adaptation.
I do!! I love the book so so much.
I know what you mean about loud music and whispered dialogue. I don’t know if that has something to do with the way movies are made today, but it drives me nuts! I’ll end up turning the sound way up so I can hear the dialogue, only to be blasted out of my pants by the next burst of music! (I find DVDs are particularly bad for this, for some reason. It hasn’t been as much of an issue on Netflix.)
My mom and I have been watching lots of stuff on Netflix, and I find it kind of funny that she likes a lot of the YA stuff. We both enjoyed The DUFF, and she liked Easy A as well (more than I did, I think). We were both intrigued by The Maze Runner, but weren’t too impressed by the sequels.
If you’re not too queasy, I’d recommend Santa Clarita Diet. It’s about zombies in suburbia, and it’s absolutely hilarious. The characters are all developed so well, and the relationship between the daughter and the boy next door is adorable.
I’m guessing because they’re designed for like cinemas and surround sound and HAVING them up super loud?! And not for those of us who have delicate ears and don’t want to be murdered by super screamy battles. *Cries* But you’re right that it is less of an issue for Netflix, for shows in general I find? Movies are way more guilty. Oh I forgot about The Duff! I need to see that. Also I LOVE Easy A.😂
I’ve seen ads for the Santa Clarita Diet and it looks totally macabre.😂
Huh… What are your thoughts on Batman? because Gotham is amazing! Dark, badass, and some unapologetically evil and mad characters!
I never watched Shadowhunters but my Cassandra Clare fan friend says it’s quite underwhelming and that the movie was actually much better.
Oh I looove Batman but haven’t seen Gotham so maybe I should get onto that. And I’ve heard the Shadowhunter show is cringey eeep.
Cait, I see The 100 and oh my goodness, the tears of joy you see in my eyes, they are REAL. And THEN. Then you will DM me and we will flail over it forever and ever. After you get past the first couple episodes- the first one especially is a little campy. But they get awesome in a hurry!
So I DID love TATBILB, but I also agree about Lara Jean. Like- I get that they had to change some stuff for the sake of having it as a movie, but yeah. Agreed. The only other thing I have watched on your list is Everything, Everything and… look, I love that it was made into a movie, but… it isn’t necessary if you’ve read the book? IMO, anyway. I also want to watch A Monster Calls and Wonder. But alas, time.
Honestly nothing else matters if you watch The 100. Nothing.
It’s on Netflix too, Shannon!! I have no excuse not to find out what space-murder-children are doing. (Although I suspect they’re not teens in the show like in the book?😂I’m TRYING to get past how much I didn’t like the book lmao.)
I actually hated the Everything Everything book BUT it’s like Simon! And Rue! So I wanna see it.😂
I promise you it’s so much different than the book. I’m stalking all The 100 related comments since I finished the finale yesterday so I’m maybe a little bit obsessed with the show at the moment 🙂
http://mariajohnwrites.com/seven-relatable-moments-writers-know/
Watch…Black Panther… NOOOWWW!!! LOL!!! It’s such a CRAZY and FUN film that you should definitely check out! I still need to watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2! Why haven’t I watched that yet!!!????
I definitely will get to BOTH. I need to catch up on so many MCU movies.😂
YES, BLACK PANTHER, YES, BLACK PANTHER, YES, BLACK PANTHER.
That is my opinion.
I JUST FOUND OUT IT’S ON NETFLIX SO I KNOW WHAT I NEED TO DO.
Oh! I watched To All The Boys recently as well, and while I found it nice & light-hearted, I don’t think it was for me…? And thank god for Thor Ragnarok! I wasn’t a big fan of the Thor movies but this changed it all! Can we please have more of it?
I would definitely recommend Black Panther and A Monster Calls. I thought Guardians Vol. 2 was kinda meh.
And yay! So happy to find another Supernatural fan! Did you end up finishing the series? I didn’t 🙁 But I do plan on getting back to it 😀
Haha that’s fair though! Like movies are as subjective as books.😂 Thor was sooo funny though, and I think it balanced a really good story = lots of humour = I’M SO HERE FOR THIS. I need to see Guardians 2 but I don’t really…feel like it.😂Chris Pratt ticks me off for some reason, but everyone else seems to love him?
I haven’t actually been keeping up with SPN! *Wails* I prefer up to like S10 and then after that I’ve been disappointed. I need to finish S12. I feel like they need to take more risks and shake things up?? The characters seem to have stalemated. (And I hate Claire.😂)
OMG I’M SO GLAD I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT PETER AND JOSH LOOKED THE SAME. I was so confused in the beginning because I was like “wait… he’s dating her AND her?” I still need to watch Love, Simon.
I have no recs since I barely watch TV anymore but thank you for your recs!
~Brittany @ Brittany’s Book Rambles
IT WAS SO CONFUSING. WHY DID THEY DO THAT. Like at least dye their hair!! OR get an actor with a different face omg.😂
I can read for more than 1 hour at a time, but i can’t watch a movie… yet, i can watch 6 hours of tv series with no break. 😀 Especially if it’s B99…
THIS IS ME TOO THOUGH?! Like what gives.😂I’ve vetoed a movie (toooo long) and then ended up watching a bazillion episodes of BB99 with my sister.😂 We make no sense apparently.
Supernatural and Psych are always good! I re-watched Thor Ragnorock yesterday and still loved it too <3 I love the humor in it!
IT’S SO SO FUNNY. I laugh my head off every time with Thor 3!
I love TV shows, especially in the autumn time, but I also sometimes feel guilty for watching TV when I could be studying/writing/reading…
But oh well! A few shows I LOVE are Anne with an “E”, Little Witch Academy (I’m not a huge anime fan but this one is SO cute), Shadowhunters, Gimore GIrls (lots of good dialogue!) and of course Stranger Things.
Lovely post, as always. 🙂
Eeep the guilty part is the worst. *wails* I mean, we can’t just read ALL the time, or we kind of burn out?! But yeah, I always feel bad for not actively doing something (plus you know the old childhood chant that TV is wasting your life…blaaah. It can be fun sometimes.😂) I LOVE Stranger Things! Can’t wait for the next season to destroy our lives. :’)
The only thing I’ve seen from this list is Love, Simon, and it was amazing. I’m not a big movie person mostly because I have a hard time keeping the characters straight. They have to all be wildly different or I get them mixed up.
I so so relate! Why do actors look so similar?! Like can’t they cast people who look different.😂Help us out here!!
AAAAH. TO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED BEFORE WAS JUST YES. I was so happy it did the book justice! (still like the book better, but eh, what can I say?) I have a hard time watching movies (I could binge a whole show in one sitting, but a movie? Nuh uh, bro) and I watched it 3 times in one day. So yeah. (Very happy it come straight-to-Netflix, as well. I’m a slight germophobe and I HATE theaters. And the volume is too loud. And there are too many people. So, yeah. No thanks. And watching a movie on my parents’ Netflix is waaaay cheaper than a theater ticket. 😛 )
But! Have you watched Your Lie in April? It is 100% fluff and cute and funny and trauma, but is good. (A lot like ATPN, but yet pretty different.) The RDJ Sherlock Holmes movies were excellent. Uuuuuuuh, honestly? I don’t know what else there is to watch. I really don’t do TV a whole bunch. My television life consists of Doctor Who, Your Lie in April, Psych, and every beautiful Marvel movie on the planet. (Iron Man is my fav, because RDJ)
lmao. That ended up being waaaay longer than I anticipated. Sorry. XD
Yesss it so did the book justice, eVEN THOUGH THE BOOK IS BETTER STILL. (I am a good bookworm here. 😂) Also omg I’m the same with shows vs movies? Like I cringe at watching a movie, but my sister and I watched a ton of Brooklyn 99 episodes in a row so…what gives.😂(I think TV shows are faster paced and movies can get boring ha.)
I actually have no interest in watching Your Lie In April 😂 mostly because I’ve actually been harassed for plagiarising it (I’ve never, um seen it) with my book so yeeeah. Turned off!
(IRON MAN IS AMAZING TOO THOUGH.)
That lowkey drives me crazy. I HATE when people claim plagiarism (I’ve had that happen with one of my short stories FOR A BOOK THAT I HAVENT EVEN READ. ugh. People are overrated) So sorry that that happens. :/
And I feel that ATPN is waay different. But yes, i understand you.
(IRON MAN IS EVERYTHING, OMG)
I know right?! It’s wild when people get so mad about it and it’s like we’re sitting here going, “WE HAVEN’T EVEN READ THE THING YOUR’E CLAIMING WE’RE COPYING.” 😂😂Bit deflating though. I’m sorry it’s happened to you too. 😭😭
Black Panther, Wander and the 100 you’ll love. 10/10 recommend. Black Panther is an aesthetic gold mine truly. Wander will make you cry if you’re anything like me. The 100 will just be amazing.
DO NOT WATCH SHADOWHUNTERS, CAIT. DON’T. I say this because i care about you. DO. NOT. DO. IT. UNLESS you like being disappointed and angry. Like Malec is great but they do SO MANY BAD AND UNNECESSARY CHANGES I WANT TOO SCREAM. I mean also watch it if you feel like being angered and want to talk about it cus I’d be down for that because i have no one that gets WHY I get so upset….anywayssss, yeah that’s my opinion.
I’m like ENTIRELY sure I’ll adore Black Panther! All the snippets I’ve seen have been excellent, and honestly I need to catch up on the MCU so I can get to Infinity War and die emotionally with everyone else who’s seen it.😭😂
That is like totally why I HAVEN’T watched Shadowhunters.😂I don’t want to actually have the series ruined for me either? Also I’ve seen the fandom of it being rabid and Cassandra Clare deserves better omg.
Same on needing to catch up on the MCU. I MAYYYYY have skipped a few films so slowly working on it but I saw Infinity War and <3 <3 <3 ALL OF THE LOVE AND TEARS AND OMG IT IS AMAZING. You will lOVE IT. It is action packed, it is sad, it has love, it is FUNNY. Seriously the first like 20 minutes I laughed really hard, there's a fight scene with so many hilarious comments (well all the fight scenes let's be real) but like IT DOESN'T TAKE AWAY FROM ANYTHING. It adds to it and just bravo MCU bravo!
And yeahh i had so many hopes for that show but they ruined SO MUCH without needing to do so. it makes me angry. The casting was well done i think it's just WHY CHANGE THESE SMALL THINGS?? like it's not even like it's adding anything in my opinion it's just weird and badly executed changes that didn't need to happen. So…yeah I don't recommend.
I love this list! I honestly have only watched TATBILB and Thor but OMG they were THE BEST <3
I wasn't expecting to love (or even want to watch) TATBILB as I hadn't read the books at all but everyone on Twitter was talking about it so I just went for it. And boy, do I not regret it! It was such a sweet, feel-good story and nothing like was I was waiting to get, which was really cool. I will probably not read the books but I do crave for the sequel now!
As for Thor, man that movie was so different than Marvel movies, which made it awesome! I was a bit skeptical at first, I mean, it did look too silly and ridiculous to be taken seirously but after a bit it kind of grew on me and made me appreciate it more. Plus, that soundtrack!
Plus, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The 100! My precious, precious babies (even if they're totally different). Have you read The 100's books? Sooo not like the show, at all. Interesting, but pretty bad in comparison. Some shows I've been watching are Mozart in the Jungle, The Bolt Type, Scrubs, Anne with an E and a few more I can't remember right now. They're all pretty good and I totally recommend them 🙂
Great post Cait!
Aww I’m glad you loved TATBILB too! isn’t it just way too adorable and wholesome!? And actually FOLLOWED THE BOOKS. Miracles happen omg. I totally recommend the books though 😉 I mean you probably have a TBR of 3980 things but I did think the books were a bit better and made the storyline more full. 😂
Thor was HILARIOUS AND PERFECT. Honestly just what I need in a movie and I managed to watch it without needing 59 breaks.😂
I did read The 100 first book and absolutely hated it lmao.😂But I’ve heard the show is way better.
You NEED to watch Lost. It’s an older show, but it’s SO. GOOD. The 100 is pretty much a watered down version of it and is geared more toward teens imo… and there are quite a few parallels between the two shows soo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
(also Lost has 6 seasons but it’s totally worth it.)
Ohh I’ve heard of Lost! Is it on Netflix? I shall check.
Leverage is amazing!!!! If you liked that, definitely check out The Librarians which was produced by the same people (it’s actually a continuation of the TV movies, but it’s not a huge thing if you dive right into the show.) The Librarians isn’t /quite/ as freaking amazing as Leverage (although it does do a couple things better) but it’s such a fun romp. And I would die for Ezekiel Jones. He’s an arrogant Aussie thief played by John Harlan Kim and his character development is THE BEST. There were so many awesome things they did with his character but I don’t want to spoil you but just know that UGH my heart is how I feel when I think of him.
On Netflix I always rec One Day at a Time. I love absolutely everyone in that cast, omg. Like Brooklyn 99, the show is diverse and has no chill with some of its plot points or even throwaway lines/jokes. Even the least best character, the white dude, I freaking love, especially for how he was there for another character who was coming off of antidepressants too rapidly and lashing out verbally and he (white dude) was incredibly understanding. Everyone in the Alvarez/Riera family is a joy to watch and they all love each other and this show is emotional and hilarious, good times. And it has been picked up for season 3!!!! <3
I also rec Schitt's Creek (the cast is so so so funny and by season 3, I loved everyone and by several eps in season 4 I was dying from some great character development and ships were sailing and it was delightful), Riverdale (even though it's trash but IDK I somehow ended up binging it, it's such a soap opera), and Queer Eye (I don't cry at things but that show got me five or six times. Sometimes humanity isn't awful 😀 )
*insert obligatory flail-snort-weeping about the brilliance that is Brooklyn 99*
OMG I FORGOT ABOUT THE LIBRARIANS! I haven’t seen it but Eliot’s in it right?! (I mean whoever the actor’s name is that plays Eliot in Leverage.😂) And I love libraries. So yas. Will give this a go. And omg B99 Is hilarious and stupid and it’s grown on me so much I totally adore it. And I’ll have to look up this One Day At A Time then! It sounds so good! (I’ve heard a lot about Queer Eye but I kinda don’t like reality TV very much.😂)
Yeah Eliot is in it 😀 He’s basically Eliot!light but oh well haha. I love his character on Librarians too, just not as much.
And I’m not much of a reality TV person either (just cooking competitions sometimes or HGTV because PRETTY spaces). But I watched the first ep of the second season of Queer Eye on a whim and WOW I don’t know what I was expecting (never watched the original) but the new Fab Five all really work hard to help people feel good about themselves and in the ways that they want, not just something forced for a show. It’s pretty well done and all of their interactions on social media are cute and the opposite of toxic masculinity. ANYWHO let me know when you check out One Day at a Time because !!!!! 😀
DID YOU KNOW THE END OF THE F***ING WORLD IS GETTING A SEASON TWO!!?!?!? DID YOU CAIT. I am actually freaking out. I really liked it as one season and I hope things…don’t go horribly wrong in season 2 and it’s still REALLY Good but I’m scared and nervous and excited. Also Stranger Things Season 3 is so far away but I’m so excited about it even though like Summer 2019 is wayyyy too far away. *cry* I liked To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before SO MUCH!!! I still haven’t watched Love Simon, A Monster Calls, Wonder, and so many others aghhh. I don’t like movies that much either?! And I don’t watch many of them, to be honest. I can’t wait for THE HATE U GIVE though, the trailer gave me actual chills and it looks like an amazing adaptation.
I DID KNOW. JAMES BETTER BE IN IT IS ALL I CAN SAY. I can’t even with that show. 😂 Like I hated it when I started and then WOAH I’ve seen the whole season and I’m sobbing. So that’s how it goes.😂 And Stranger Things doesn’t even have a release date on netflix, how dare they tho. 😭 The kids are going to be all grown up??
I’m SO freaking excited for tHUG. I won’t be able to see it till it’s out of cinemas but still ahhhhhhhhh
OMG I very rarely meet someone who has watched Leverage! It’s such a great TV show! So is Brooklynn Nine-Nine!
I’m just like you when it comes to movies. I hate sitting still for three hours and I never go out to the cinemas. They’re so loud! :O
But, I do watch a LOT of TV shows and I’m gonna weirdly recommend a show to you because I have a STRONG feeling you’ll like it. It’s called Atypical and it’s on Netflix. Do watch it if you feel like it? xD
Isn’t it so perfect?! I wish there were more Leverage-style shows out there honestly eeeep I love the stealing things ones.😂
Ahhh, okay this is a bit awkward but I actually have seen Atypical and I’m very very against it. It’s a horrible depiction of autism and super problematic. Sorry.😂I get really upset just even thinking about how they made Sam this stupid stereotype ugh.
It is? When I watched season 1, there were so many people lauding the writers for not making him a stereotype? Maybe I need to watch it again.
I hated that they made the mom such a cliche, though. I detest it when tv shows and books make the mother cheat just because they have a child who’s not neurotypical.
If you google for reviews written by actual autistics, they’ll give the rundown. Most people applauding it aren’t autistic. 😔 It also casts Sam as a burden and his autism isn’t consistent. (By 18 + having been in therapy all his life = he wouldn’t be making the social mistakes he’s making unless he was severely autistic. But he’s high functioning.) And yeah the mum was awful!
Also most of the joke moments are because of Sam making a social mistake, ergo it’s a show designed to laugh at autism which sucks.
Oh yeah, I’ve noticed the fact that several jokes are on Sam. That’s not very nice. Thank you for pointing this out to me! I honestly thought the show was very uplifting and heartwarming. I didn’t know there was this angle. So, thanks! ❤️
I didn’t mean to be a total downer either haha. Sorry about that!
No no, I really appreciate the fact that you told me about this! Thanks so much! 😅❤️
CAIIIIIIIIIIT YOU HAVE TO WATCH BROOKLYN NINE NINE SEASON 5!!!!!! AND THEN PLEASE TELL ME ALL YOUR FEELS (I’M ALWAYS AVAILABLE ON TWITTER)!!! I think it should b available on Netflix this month? And Season 6 should be released in January asdfghjkl I am obsessed with this series. I am Gina, and everyone else is just so lovable. ♥ I’m watching Modern Family now, but I can’t get that far since I keep rewatching B99 scenes. xD It’s really diverse so far though, and very honest. Another movie I recently watched and enjoyed was Crazy Rich Asians!
IT’S KILLING ME THAT IT’S NOT ON NETFLIX AHHHHH. What did we do to deserve this torment omg. But hopefully it will be on the Aussie Netflix too?! I’ll have to wait till my sister visits in December to see it anyway. We were both like “Eh this is dumb” when we started and then rapidly threatened each other’s lives if we watch it without the other.😂😂
I really want to see Crazy Rich Asians! But I need to read the book omggg.😂
I am so pleased that you liked Ragnarok! It’s one of my favorite movies. I don’t see many movies in theater, so I haven’t seen many recent films. But I show up for the Asgardian aliens (a friend of mine and I are also pretending to be Asgardian brothers). And the HUMOR WAS SO GOOOOOOD! Also, just everything else about it? Fantastic. And now that you’ve said the humor is very Australian, um, can I just move to Australia? I’m convinced I need to live there now. And forever.
Another recent film I saw in theaters was Ocean’s Eight. I loved it. It was actually very satisfying. It was wrapped up very nicely at the end. I almost thought I wouldn’t like it because the ending was so nicely done, but I’m really just satisfied with it? Perhaps I need to see it again, to be sure. But I love that it’s a heist plot. And it’s just funny.
One of my friends has recently gotten me into Supernatural. It’s good and addicting. But I’ve also started Criminal Minds, and I think I like it better (will probably die watching it. . .). Also, Leverage and Psych are comfort series for my whole family?? Any time I go home, they seem to be binge watching either of those or the Teen Titans? And I could just watch Parker, Elliot, and Hardison mock each other like properly affection siblings should and be pleased with my existence.
AFjdsald agreed, Thor Ragnorak was just pure perfection and the kind of movie we aaaall need in this world. And YES do move to Australia. We are very funny and also ridiculous and that makes us perfect. I am not biased at all for sure.😂
Oh I need to see Ocean’s 8! I kind of forgot about it, but I’m SO excited because the cast is amazing and wOMEN STEALING THINGS YES PLEASE.
I reeeally like Supernatural’s earlier seasons but am struggling with the recent ones oops. Psych is so good. I need to force my sister to see it!
YES to Thor Ragnarok and Brooklyn 99!!!!!!! This was my favorite Thor movie, and I loved Hela as a Marvel villain! I am so glad that NBC picked up the show after it was cancelled because it is must see viewing for me. I vote that you definitely have to see Black Panther and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. I don’t think it was as great as the first one, but Baby Groot can’t be missed. I thought A Wrinkle in Time was beautiful, but it is definitely differs from the book. If you are a super fan of the book, then you may not like this adaptation.
THOR WAS JUST SO GOOD. I NEED SO MANY MORE MOVIES LIKE IT. I JUST LOVE IT AHHHH. And I’m glad B99 didn’t end up being cancelled because that would’ve been devastating omg. And I need to still catch up on the MCU so I do plan to watch them all (I haven’t even seen Civil War oops😂)
I LOVE THE GOOD PLACE and I am so excited for the start of season 3 in a few weeks!! Also I watched TATBILB and I laughed so hard when you said Josh & Peter look the same BECAUSE THEY DO. But I loved Peter anyway.
I’M SEEING TEASERS FOR S3 OF THE GOOD PLACE AND SO SO EXCITED AHHHHH.
Ohhh you should watch Shadow Hunters TMI, but like later when the next half of season 3 comes out, not now though your gonna be stuck crying at the end
Didn’t it get cancelled though?!😂Now I’m not sure if I should bother!
So I bingewatched all of Brooklyn 99 throughout the summer when I was supposed to be studying for the summer class I was taking, but I was able to balance out and have time for reading by reading during the summer class I was taking. I’m super responsible with school. Obviously. Also, YESS PSYCH!!!! Psych is one of my all time favorite shows but for some reason it’s so hard to convince people to watch it??? Oh well, their loss.
Brooklyn 99 intead of studying sounds like a very good idea. :’) 😂 SUPER responsible. (But hey it’s good to give one’s brain a break too, right!?) Psych is so so good. I wish it was on Netflix and I’d rewatch!
I’ve actually been binge watching Brooklyn Nine Nine too! I only have a few episodes left of season 5 before I’m caught up! SAD! I’m with you though – every time Hitchcock and Scully are on screen, I am forever asking how they haven’t been fired yet!
It’s SO funny and just so good and wholesome and not stressful.😂And ughghg Hitchcock and Sully are gross but also they do NOTHING. Why do they have jobs???
I’m offended… Movie Peter was clearly the man of my dreams. But each to her own I guess. But the humour in Thor Ragnarok was KIWI. not Australian. Because Taiki Waititi is kiwi. You already have crowded house YOU DON’T GET HIM.
Apart from that A++ post. I agree. As reps, Netflix’s Anne is an E is amazing I love it so much. It manages to have poc and lgbt rep despite being set in 1800s small-town Canada (especially in Season 2) and Anne is soo on the autism spectrum. They manage to use the setting really well to discuss lots of social issues, the cinematography, scenery, use of colour all beautiful and powerful, the characters are all really well developed and so are their relationships with each other. It’s a bit darker then your average Anne of Green Gables adaptation, but it works well, Definitely my fav adaption of the book, and one of if not my favourite book – screen adaptions.
OKAY YES KIWI. But like we can kidnap Taiki just for a second ok. And like, Thor ad-libs a lot I hear, so we can definitely legally claim him.
I kind of want to try Anne with an E but I haven’t really read the book in YEARS.😂 And omg I am absolutely watching it if you think she’s autistic!! I love autistic rep (GOOD that is, freaking hate Atypical) and sometimes I find that people who don’t intentionally write autism but do anyway…actually do it better.
yeah, I definitely get the non-intentional thing. People who go out of their way to write it make it very extreme and tend to relay on serotypes that aren’t necessarily true (eg. The curious accident of the dog in the nighttime) while with non-intentional you notice they’re autistic because that something I, an autistic person does? Normally they’re just trying to make the character a bit quirky or awkward and don’t draw from a background of harmful serotypes/ideas so it can end up quite refreshing. (e.g Geek Girl – Harrit is autistic FIGHT ME)
So I can only recommend the ones I’ve seen, but YESSSSSS to:
Guardians 2
Everything Everything <3<3<3
Black Panther
Wonder (prepare to sob)
Also, you should watch Avengers: Infinity War, but only after watching Guardians and Black Panther.
I LOVE the Wonder book so I’m prepared to have a lot of emotions watching the movie!! And YES must catch up on MCU omg. I kind of don’t want to see Infinity War though…I’ve heard all the spoilers and noooo😭😭
Aww, To All the Boys was so cute although haha I agree Josh and Peter looked so similar. Also I think they made it a bit obvious that Lara Jean would end up with Peter? I mean in the books you can kind of guess, but I thought they could have had more Josh in the film to show how conflicted she was feeling.
Love, Simon was adorable ahhhh Blue was perfect and I love. I wanted more Abby though because she and Simon were a lot closer in the book 🙁
Oooh, I really recommend A Monster Calls! The effects were just beautiful, though it’s just as heartbreaking as the book so yeah prepare for that.
Have you seen American Vandal? Season 2 just came out so it’s on my mind. It’s this Netflix crime mockumentary and it’s so so clever and twisty! I recommend.
And I know you said you didn’t like the guy from Alex Stangelove, but he’s in this other film called Adventures in Public School and it’s cute and cringy as well, but better. Also the guy in it was homeschooled and you were too, right? So maybe you’ll enjoy it/understand it more.
Simi
P.S. I finally managed to get my review for ATPN up on my blog!! Hopefully I’ll get it up on GR and Amazon soon too. Just wanted to say thank youu for making such beautiful art <3 I can’t wait for April! Kinda hoping TBWSH will be a bit happier, but also doubting it…
Oh yes totally agree about Josh! Like it made it seem WAY more pressing in the books for her to make sure Josh knew she didn’t like him anymore. But I guess films can never totally get books right.😂It was still a good adaption. And sooo agreed about Simon/Abby! (I will definitely get to A Monster Calls too.)
Ooh I haven’t even heard of American Vandal but if it’s funny I’m in. hehe.
Honestly I’m very very wary of homeschooler portrayals in media because they’re almost always kind of offensive.😂But I’ll check it out.
Thank you SO MUCH FOR REVIEWING ATPN.!!! I’m flailing!! 😭💛💛(And TBWSH has a LOT more funny/lighter moments but, um…the ending. WELL….😇😇😇)
I was going to comment on Love, Simon and To All The Boys I’ve Loved – both of which I loved – but then I saw the poster for the 100 and I might have flailed and screamed and aghdjdjhuhdkhdjejdjdkehioej
I watched it over the past 5 weeks (all 5 seasons) and I went into it with the expectation it was going to be some sort of crappy Teen Drama and I ONLY watched it because my best friend raved about it and it was sitting on my Netflix List for too long.
And it turned out to be so much more than that – the amazingly fleshed out characters, the genius plot, the villains who make you question who really are the good guys, the extensive worldbuilding, the politics and how nearly every character is pretty much super evil makes it one of the best shows I’ve ever watched. I finished Season 5 yesterday and I’ve been going crazy over the finale and in tears because I don’t know how I’m going to survive until Season 6 but seriously, Cait – you NEED to watch The 100. I’ve watched everything else on your list and this really is the show you need to watch.
The main actors are Aussie so that might interest you. The first three episodes are mehhh but it gets so good. Also, you’re going to die because there are so many character deaths.
Please please please watch The 100! God, I sound like I’m part of a claque but it really is so good!
Love Simon and To All the Boys are just FLUFFY ROMCOM PERFECTION I LOVE THEM SO MUCH and so glad the adaptions did them justice!
I seriously need to see The 100 I’m guessing. 😂My friend never stops saying how good it is, so like what on earth am I waiting for?! (Well, apart from the fact I hated the book but I’ve been told the show far surpasses it.😂)
The book is wayyyyy different. The series is nothing like it – I checked out the book after watching the show (just the summaries I found online) and it shocked me how different the book is. You’ll love the show 😉
EXCELLENT. I am very relieved!!
I watched Shadowhunters recently and it was okay, i prefered the movie over the series. I’ve not seen Black Panther, Guardians of the Galaxy 2 or Love Simon or A Wrinkle in time. I own a Monster Calls (haven’t seen it yet) BUT TO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED BEFORE IS SUCH AN AMAZING MOVIE I LOVE IT. Also I really loved Everything Everything.
Have you seen Sierra Burgess Is A Loser yet? Noah who plays Peter in TATBILB is in this! And it’s such a cute movie!!
I actually heard really bad things about the Sierra Burgess movie so I haven’t watched it yet. I’m still on the fence! And I seriously loved To All The Boys though ahhh!!! SO CUTE.
a slightly weird suggestion, its animated and basically a kids show but loads of adults love it ok dont judge me but miraculous ladybug. Season 2 is better than season 1 because there’s wayyyy more development (season one is just learning the ropes kind of but its still good) and its kind of a cliche and dumb in season 1 but loads of people have seen it unsure at first but they ended up loving it so um … season 1 is on netflix and season 2 hasn’t finished airing, there’s more episodes to go but give it a try maybe, its 20 min episodes and sO gOOD
Reign is pretty good too, I also started to watch the crown because everyone says its amazing but I’m having trouble getting into it, its just meh so far 🙁
I never judge people for enjoying something! I’m glad you like the show!! 🎉🎉
Definitely an interesting premise; a chip installed at birth tapes your whole life, and someone edits it to show your family when you die. The editors can’t have these chips, but it turns out one of them does, and action and intrigue ensue. Good up until the end; it is slightly anticlimactic.
I also have problems processing sound! My family used to make fun of me for always watching things with subtitles until I figured out how to explain why to my mum and then she got it and once my mum understands why I do things the rest of the family tends to learn to LEAVE ME ALONE!
Also Thor Ragnarok is perfect for those of use with attention difficulties! I watched a video on YouTube where Taika Waititi explained how he does story-telling with is basically “Bored? Change the scene!” and it’s brilliant! Thor Ragnarok is my fave Marvel movie and I really just want Taika Waititi to direct the rest of the MCU please!
I think Season 5 of Brooklyn-Nine Nine is up now? Or at least is going up this month!
I definitely recommend watching ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ its a super campy movie about vampires and its a Taika Waititi film and it’s so funny! Black Panther is my second fave MCU film so definitely watch that if you can.
The 100 gets a 9/10 on characters (especially character development…except for one of the main characters never seems to change??? Which can be annoying but everyone else makes up for it) I went back and watched the earlier seasons again last year and like all the characters are almost unrecognizable personality wise but in a good way??
Ahhh I’m glad your mum understands at least!! Sound is HARD. 😭 And omg Taika Waititi is a gift to the world and absolutely a ball of energy and I love his work so so much ahhhh. HE definitely needs to just take over the entire MCU. That’d be great.😂I hope BB99 is up on the Aussie version of Netflix now too then ahhh.
Oh I think I’ve heard of What We Do In the Shadows! I will look it up.😂
Omg yes TATBILB and Love Simon were amazing and magical! Brooklyn 99 is obviously THE BEST and I’m so glad that S5 is on Netflix right now so that I can keep watch ing the last episode and crying(happy tears)
Ooh you really need to start Shadowhunters and when you do please don’t judge the first few episodes too harshly, it gets a LOT better 😍
I totally get what you mean by yourTBR judging you and you being a workaholic cause SAME.
THE BOOKS KEEP STARING SMH
Also, you should watch Atypical- it’s short and sweet. It revolves around the life of an autistic person and he is just adorable and all the characters are so great?!
Omg must go see if BB99 is on the Aussie netflix now then too. I NEED MORE IN MY LIFE AHHH. Did they cancel Shadowhunters now though? I’m not sure if I’ll ever try it at this rate lmao. (But I AM curious and do want to see Malec since they scrapped that in the movie.)
Umm, yeah, I actually have massive problems with Atypical! It has bad autism rep and anything that uses autism as the butt of a joke is pretty low imo. It’s on my blacklist sorry.
Yeah they did 🙁 But we still have 3 seasons! The 3rd one is almost complete. MALEC IS GOALS IN THIS SHOW HONESTLY LIKE THERE IS AN EPISODE NAMED MALEC WEDDING
Ahh that’s okay. Everyone sees things differently. But like also since I love gathering different opinions how do you feel they make autism a joke? I mean no offense, I just didn’t see it, I’m not a critical analyser when it comes to shows 😛
If you google for autistic people’s reviews on Atypical, they do comprehensive articles on it and detail all the whys! But in brief: all the times you laugh at something awkward Sam does? It’s laughing at him being autistic. It’s really unfair because we autistics already know we’re different and awkward and we have massive anxiety just trying to fit in, and here is a show that’s laughing at our efforts. 😔It’s basically a show about autism but it’s NOT for autistic people because we’re the joke of it.
Ah okay I get it. Thank you so much! ❤️
So I just recently discovered you and am scouring through alllll the posts (I have like six PF tabs up there right now…) so this comment is kind of the equivalent of liking someone’s post from last year while insta-stalking.
JANE THE VIRGIN is my offering. You love characters’ lives getting upended outta nowhere? Horrible terrible awful things happening to (mostly) good people? Banter? Intrigue? Super meta plotlines that make it literally impossible to explain to anyone? The protagonist is a POC and an !!ASPIRING AUTHOR!! who’s inspired by her crazy life, plus the show incorporates a lot of references to modern issues (in America, that is, of which there are plenty). Based on the blog binge I’ve been doing here, I feel like this show could give you life. <3
Aww I don’t mind!! 😂 It’s really nice that my older posts aren’t completely awful ahah (well…)
And maybe I should try Jane the Virgin!! I’ve heard good tings about it and it sounds really good from your rec here. 💛
You have suggested a very good collection but my favorite drama series are game of thrones and the big bang theory.
Thanks for sharing. This seems to be a great list. Will definitely be watching some of these.
