3.Play all three pieces (Stoker’s Siding, Siciliano, and See the Rabbit) at the eisteddfods by memory
On my list of fourteen things, this was one of the ones I knew I was going to do. In fact, I did it the day after I put up the list. I played them all by memory. Not a note of music.
I practised those songs so much I seriously was sick of them. I also discovered the secret to easy memorization on the flute. A version of constant practise. A flute has lots of little keys, and if you press them down without blowing, you can softly hear the note. If you press the keys down enough your fingers will learn exactly where to fall. And you don’t have to hear the tune you’re irritated by in proper volume. Though Cait does say that the clicking sound of the flute in extremely annoying.
And another goal completed!
