Hi everyone! I have a slightly different post to share with you today!
So you know my revolves practically 89% around books…because I have excellent priorities. But I’m breaking theme today on the blog to talk to you about my collab with Jord Watches! They’ve sent me a super exquisite watch that, when I put on, I instantly transformed into a professional author, here to meet all deadlines, with my super sleek and powerful timepiece. 😌 Truly! It is the kind of watch you wear to feel like you’re here to conquer time and dimensions.
I also fully confess I’m a person who is notices what time it is very intently. I like schedules and rhythms and routines (my family comments that they basically know what time it is depending on what I’m doing because I’m just. that. punctual 😂 🙌🏻). I like packaging my day into manageable piles so I have time to both write and read. I like to turn out at least 3 novels a year, plus I read 200 books. (And hello, yes, I am reading my 185th book as we speak and on track to finish the 200 before 2020!)
Before Jord sent me this watch, I just had this shoddy little plastic watch that is 5mins fast and refuses to calm down. It also beeps at me. I do not like to be beeped at, thank you.
So you know I’d be hyped to have an exquisite quality watch in my life.
So for today’s post I want to give you a bit of a review of the Jord watch I’ve received!
I usually review books, but stretching my creative wings today. I also had a long and serious talk to my hand about how veiny it is. Like could those veins please just lie down. Thanks.
I also have a really epic giveaway opportunity for you! If you go over here, you can enter to win $100 off a watch!
it would mean a lot to me if you entered so 😍 thanks in advance!
Jord (pronounced Yode) is based in St. Louis, where we are constantly developing new designs. The watches are a sophisticated mix of natural, and largely reclaimed materials, combined with quality movements and components.
I’ve always been a watch person but never owned a decent watch.
➢ I’m pretty effortlessly converted too. It just makes me feel important and I do love the feel and weight of it, compared to my old flimsy plastic thing.
➢ Ngl the walnut finish attracted me like nothing else. WOOD, alright. I blame a childhood obsession with Narnia for this, but I want everything to be wood and/or capable of magic…or of turning me into a professor.
➢ I wouldn’t wear this watch as I knocked about doing chores though. But it came in a nice box, which I straight up am obsessed with. (I also collect boxes. My room is far too full of them and I can’t be stopped.) It also has a little draw to keep cleaning supplies in (which come free with the watch). So you know, it is super nice and sleek, but something you’d be careful with.
➢ HOWEVER. It’s water resistant! There’s so much comfort in that!
Holiday Gifting & Customer FAQ:
➢ Most watch backplates can be engraved! All Cedar humidor boxes are engravable as well!
➢ The watches may be sized for the recipient, which is a super relief as there’s nothing worse than an ill-fitting watch.
➢ Most watches have additional options for customisation — you can mix and match faces and woods.
➢ 1-year warranty and FREE world wide shipping

let me know your thoughts on watches!! is anyone else always hyper aware of the time? and are you a watch person?
Dude they sent you a watch! That’s so awesome 😀 I really like it too. It’s pretty cool.
Oh my word, CG, that’s so cool! It looks great next to your crown, too! XD
I bought my husband a wood band from Jord for his Apple Watch and it is SO amazing looking! I’ve been very happy with my purchase!!
If I forget my watch in a morning, that’s basically my whole day down the drain! :’) I had a watch with the date on for almost the entire time I was in secondary school and sixth form. It took me forever to get used to NOT having the date on my watch when I got a new one.
I love these watches – the wooden finish makes them look so wholesome somehow, yet they carry all the technology you’d ever need! What a great collaboration you made – congratulations!
Thanks for all the wonderfully gorgeous photos you post on here and instagram daily.x
