There’s nothing like reading a book and quickly hissing, “What were you thinking????” at the characters.
This usually happens for two main reasons, which are: (1) the character just did something really ridiculous and you want to reach through the page and shake ’em. Or (2) you actually don’t know what that character is thinking because it’s not in their perspective.
Obviously no one wants to read a book with 93804 million perspectives. My ability to cope maxes out at about 4 points-of-view thank you very much lmao. And I have read books with multiple narrators and there’s always that ONE who you mutter, “I so so so don’t care, move along” whenever you have to suffer through their chapters. So I am by no means shouting for omnipresent books. Haha…wow please no.
But. Hear me out:
On occasion you pick up a book and there’s just that ONE SIDE CHARACTER who you wish you could see inside their head. *
* WOW. THIS POST, STARRING CAIT = WRITING THE CREEPIEST LINES.
So today I want to write about…
5 side-characters who I’d give anything to read the book again by their perspective!
And by “give anything”, I mean I would sell a sister or someone else’s lung to achieve this. And I still love these books AS IS. I just want version #2 as well haha. (What? I can dream.)
(Also never fear! NO SPOILERS HERE!)
1. THE WICKED KING
All I can say is: CARDAN. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING. I am maddeningly in love with this book ok?! This whole series. We only have Jude’s limited 1st person perspective, which is crucial for the plot — because we’re stuck in a realm of schemes and tricksters and people who’ll murder to get ahead. We are with Jude as she doesn’t know who to trust and spirals into this lump of anxiety. And whenever she’s like: “Whose side is Cardan on?????” We don’t know either! NOBODY KNOWS.
DOES CARDAN KNOW???
I freaking want to know what he’s thinking. He has an agenda. But what. And whose. And does he love Jude or not? Sob.
2. THE CAGED QUEEN
This is my new series obsession! I say it’s “underrated” because I don’t see nearly enough people talking about it, or The Last Namsara. But they seem pretty highly ranked on Goodreads so! Maybe I’m in the wrong fan circles? Anyway I LOVE THEM. They’re intense, complicated fantasies with characters you would, 10/10, share the last sandwich on earth with. Also there are dragons.
In the sequel it’s all narrated by Roa (who I LOVE) but I would so so give anything for an entire book by Dax’s perspective. He is a schemer masquerading as a Hufflepuff and aghasfoshg I love that trope. He also has a learning disability and grew up needing to be this tough, heir to a tyrant king. Little Dax getting abused for this??? I want to know how he became who he is!!!
3. THE GENTLEMAN’S GUIDE TO VICE AND VIRTUE
You already know how much I absolutely ADORE this book (I’ve read it 3 x times! My TBR hates me!! But I keep rereading it!!) But I would totally sacrifice nine years of sleep to have Percy’s perspective. I mean, can you imagine???
Percy: Today I smiled at Monty and he walked into a wall.
Percy: He then acted like no one saw it.
Percy: [sighing, so so tired] we all saw it, Monty.
It would be the tome of a martyr suffering through Monty’s shenanigans and somehow not murdering him??? Percy is a saint. None can convince me otherwise. (Monty is literally an electrocuted puppy on red cordial and I love him.)
4. RADIO SILENCE
This is one of my all-time favourite contemporaries and my heartbeat just gets all SQUASHED every time I think of how good it was. Anxious geek kids??? Is this not written for me? Thank you. I finally bought my own copy (I mean, I ordered the new covers and got the old one…#salty) and am going to reread soon.
But let’s talk about Aled. ALED. I really related to him being smol and anxious and ace and being anonymous to his huge online following. I’m not exactly anonymous, but I don’t show my face and I just related to a lot of his overwhelmed-internet-creator-feels.
Don’t get me wrong: I LOVE FRANCES’ NARRATION. But I had more in common with Aled and omg, especially at the end? I wanted his thoughts.
5. TO ALL THE BOYS I’VE LOVED BEFORE
This trilogy is an absolute favourite of mine. Lara Jean is the Hufflepuff baking soft hearted QUEEN. Will be in love with her forever. But, ok look, she got three books. She has a movie (and a sequel?!). Lara Jean is thriving.
Let’s talk about KITTYYYYY.
I want a trilogy for Kitty going through highschool!! She is such a schemer, an explosion of life, a little snark ball, and she loves dogs. She is everything pointy to Lara Jean’s softness. And ok, I admit, I’m not asking for a rewrite of the trilogy by her perspective but instead her own trilogy…but ya know. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I can ask for things.
I was less content with T caged Queen than with The last Namsara. I am really curious about the final book in this trilogy, because maybe we will get Dax there?
The final book’s going to be from Asha’s perspective! The cover just released and it’s GORGEOUS. I adored Roa’s book afjdalsfd.
I’m reading Radio Silence right now and agree that Aled’s POV would be great, also Cardan’s because WHAT IS GOING THROUGH HIS HEAD TO MAKE THAT ENDING OF TWK!!!!!????? HOW COULD HE????????? I’d also like to see The Grisha Trilogy from Nikolai’s perspective, like I know he has a book but something that takes place during the original trilogy would be cool, also Newt from The Maze Runner, his reaction to everything Thomas does would be golden
I love Aled so much omg and the ending particularly…!!! I hope you love it. And what the hECK was Cardan thinking like…the entire time in TWK. I am just…Cardan, stop, son. you are hurting us. I want him to actually love Jude is that too much to ask 😭😭 (shh yes probably)
And definitely agreed about Newt!
OK. I feel like I have to answer this in parts otherwise it’ll just be all jumbled up and me basically screaming YES CARDAN!! for 18 lines.
1. YESSSSSSS CARDAN!!!!! I need answers!!!!
2. OMFG YESSS!!! I need to understand the strategic napper mindset. Can I use this at work? Also, growing up with young Asha and the dragon stories.
3. I need to read this. It’s on my bookshelf glaring at me.
4. I also need to read this one. But I remember that Solitaire was amazing…
5. KITTY would be the best perspective ever. YES.
Finally, YAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSS CAAAAAAAAAAAARDAAAAAAAAAAAANNN!! *dies*
CARDAN. WE NEED IT. It would also kill us but pft after The Wicked King we’re all dead inside anyway.
Also Asha is so freaking amazing and i am STOKED the 3rd book is going to be by her perspective. did you see the cover reveal today?!
I did see the cover and OMG 😍, but I thought the third book was Safire and a magic pirate princess (?) called Eris. Maybe I am crazy??
omg I hope that means it’s f/f 😍😍😍
I think it might be? They’re currently enemies, so fingers crossed!!
I saw the title of this post and thought (ok screamed but the inside my head type of scream) “ANDREW MINYARD”!! Because. ANDREW MINYARD POV. It would breAK ME but hey so did the rest of the trilogy might as well suffer all the way right ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I want to know his thought process!!!! I also want to know about his future cats that he ends up adopting with Neil but that’s just wistful thinking STILL the dream is there.
I still have to read Radio Silence….but I want the new covers SO MUCH? And I JUST KNOW that if I order it the old cover will appear and ruin the aesthetic. I mean it’s still pretty but faces on the covers #mostlyhugenope also IWBFT will feel pretty lonely on the shelf without it’s matching book-siblings!!
OMG I MISSED AND OPPORTUNITY. heck to the freaking yes *cries* I just started rereading it and every time he opens his mouth i am now dying inside. ajfdksald tHAT SERIES HAFJDSKALFDHO damaged stickball children
Ugh I totally agree about the Radio Silence covers. I ORDERED the new one and got this and I’m devastated. I don’t like this cover and the new ones are so!! pretty!! AHHH.
YES GIVE ME THE WICKED KING BUT WITH CARDAN!!!!! I want to knooooow what is going on in that head of his *cries*
Most of my favorite books have multiple POVs? So that makes things more difficult (i.e., Strange the Dreamer, Wolf by Wolf, Salt to the Sea) but I feel like it would be really cool to have Emma’s POV in Fawkes! She’s such a cool character 😀
WILL WE EVER UNDERSTAND WHAT THAT LITTLE DEVIL CARDAN IS THINKING??????? I HAVE QUESTIONS. And oh yes Emma in Fawkes would’ve been interesting to know what she was thinking. 👀
I died laughing at the analysis of what Percy’s book would be like. xD Because it’s TRUE, and also I want that book now. I would pay good money for that. There are also so many spinoff series that I think would be fantastic. Tales of Kitty in high school would be wonderful!
Wouldn’t it just be though, right??😂😂 400pgs of Percy being tired and Monty speed walking his little legs to get into more trouble. I LOVE THEM I AM DEAD.
Reading Gentleman’s Guide from Percy’s perspective would be awesome. I’d love a Percy book! We already have a Felicity book, so why not? This seems like a brilliant idea.
I know right?! We could have a third book and wrap up their saga with a trilogy 😍😍
I WOULD SELL MY TWO KIDNEYS FOR A CARDAN POV. If he doesn’t have a POV in Queen of Nothing, I will spontaneously combust. I have about 1000000 theories on why he did what he did. Yes I think about TWK every minute. Will silently scream until I get my hands on the third book.
Would love to see Nikolai’s perspective on the Grisha trilogy because this dragon is a huge trash. My mom doesn’t really need to worry about me getting boyfriends anytime soon because no mortal can compare to my king. NO SHADE HERE JUST PURE TRUTH.
SAME TBH. WHO NEEDS SOULS WHEN WE COULD HAVE MORE HOLLY BLACK BOOKS. I don’t think he’ll ever narrate though…this is purely wishful thinking gahhh. And unfortunately I don’t even think I’ll ever trust what comes out of his mouth lmao. Queen of Nothing is going to kill us. And we will also thank it.
Nikolai is the true wonder of the world and none can fight us on otherwise. 😌
Totally agree about Kitty. I haven’t read Always and Forever Lara Jean yet, but basically everything that comes out of Kitty’s mouth has me cracking up so I’m definitely on board with her getting a series.
YES. Exactly. She’s an absolute gift to the world and such a firecracker…she’d just be the perfect protagonist to read about.😍
I love the idea of different perspective stories and I know exactly what you mean when there is that one perspective you have to race through to get to your favourite— it can make me read way into the early hours by doing this. 😂
I want to read most of these books that you mentioned!! Quite a lot of my books have multiple pov so I can’t think of any of the top of my head or my memory is being really bad 😂😂
Loved this post!!!
omg it’s the worst, right?! Like that ONE character where we’re just all: shut up you’re so annoying. 😂
And it’s true that more books are multiple POV these days too!
Yes— just like can I skip this one please 😂😂
Basically I need the whole Selection Series out of Maxon’s POV because I can just imagine his disappointment/fear whenever America does something stupid like risk her life for no reason and run into the woods with the rebels to follow; you know, something like that 😂
That’s one I STILL need to finish!!! i got the Elite the other day so I have no excuse. 😂
YOU NEED NEED NEED TO FINISH IT. you get ALL THE FEELS
I just read The Cruel Prince, but I quite enjoyed it and I can’t wait to read the second one! I agree, The Last Namsara sounds epic but I haven’t seen a lot of people reading it. This topic is super interesting as most character’s pov I wanted is happening already: Jem has Ghost of Shadow Market series, Nikolai has a duology (even though the first one really let me down that I just want to forget I ever read it) and we’re getting a Kenji novella this year!!! So all in all, I think I’m good 😀
Yesss I’m so excited for Nikolai’s book (WHY IS MY COPY NOT HERE YET *hyperventilates*) and I think it’s awesome we’re getting Kenji! And like we got Felicity from the Gentleman’s Guide too, and all the characters in the Shadowhunters basically get a novel, lol. 😂 But I still have dreams….😍
PERCYYYYYYYYYYYYY <3 <3
that is all.
I AGREE. he is such a blessing
OH oh oh ohhhhhhhhh I love your suggestions SO much, I loved Radio Silence and a book through Aled’s perspective would be SO interesting to read?! I would be here for that, I just loved him so much. AND KITTY, oh a book, a trilogy, an entire series about her would be so awesome just as well. She was so great as a side character, I can’t imagine how incredible it would be to have her as a main character 😀
Loved this post! <3
It would!! Poor Aled I felt a lot for him ajfkdslad he had so much baggage poor smol son. And Kitty would just rule a YA series. She would be epic. 😂
I’d looooove for more about Percy in The Gentleman’s Guide, that’s for sure! Since Mackenzi Lee already released a book from Felicity’s point of view, maybe it’s not dreaming too far out of reach?
I’d really love to see another book from Dante’s perspective in Ari & Dante. When re-reading this time around, I realized how little we get to see about Ari from a different point of view. Obviously, we have a lot from his mom and the other adults, but I’d love to see how Dante sees him. There’s this quote where Dante’s father says: “I notice the way he looks at you (Ari)”, and instantly I just thought: “But I had never noticed it! Because I can’t see how Dante is looking at Ari, because this entire book is NOT from Dante’s POV! Dang it!”.
This post was a lot of fun, Cait! It certainly made me think about a lot of characters I’d love to know more about!
I KNOW RIGHT?! We could dream!!!! Percy is so precious and long-suffering ajfkdlsad I love him.
And like I actually HEARD we were getting a Dante book. 👀 But the news came out ages ago and I’ve heard nothing since. But yes omg I do, because Ari was so stuck in his head (and I love love him) but I want to see how Dante felt right up front.
The Last Namsara is actually pretty hyped! I thought I’d mention it’s a Red Maple finalist – which basically just means it’s by a Canadian author and is in the final list for an award.
I definitely must just be in the wrong circles.😂 Which is sad because I want to flail with everyone about it!!
I HAVE READ NONE OF THESE BOOKS BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL SITTING, AND POINTING KNIVES AT ME FROM MY TBR!! WhIcH iS fINE!!!!
I agree about the multiple POV thing. So hard to focus. I think that if a book is multiple POV they should have the name of the character we’re reading from because sometimes it’s not that easy to tell. Like, “Wait… WHEN DID HE GROW BREASTS?!?!?”
Also, 10/10 would eat a book from the perspective of anyone and everyone who is tricksy and run allll the schemes!!
I just want more troublesome sons to cheer on tbh. So precious. So smart. So….. EVIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLL!!
It’s ok I FEEL FOR YOU AND YOUR KNIFEY TBR. I swear mine just hisses at me 100% of the time. But I throw breadcrumbs at it and hope for the best.
And omg the first time I read The Scorpio Races I didn’t realise it was dual POv.😂 I was just like on chapter two, and all, “Why does his family call him Kate and now he has long hair. Ok.” And I JUST WENT WITH IT. for ages before I figured it out.😂
…I’m still holding out for a series from Nico di Angelo’s POV. I mean, it could happen – Apollo got one – but it probably won’t.
I MEAN. YES. I actually am sad we haven’t gotten one yet?! Did we not beg loud enough, Mr. Riordan????
It’s always the other characters that seem much more interesting to me usually, especially morally grey or villains. There’s one in particular that stands out and that’s Ty from Stolen by Lucy Christopher. We see everything from Gemma’s point of view and her confusion but imagine seeing it from her captors. I wanted to know why and how he justified what he did. It’s one of those books that broke me well and truly and I don’t think we’ll probably see anything else like it to be honest.
omg that would be like the YA version of You I guess? I admit, I hated that dude, haha.😂
That’s actually a very interesting point! I never thought about it this way…
I’m glad you liked the idea. 😂
“Percy: Today I smiled at Monty and he walked into a wall.
Percy: He then acted like no one saw it.
Percy: [sighing, so so tired] we all saw it, Monty.”
I think I’ve read this four or five times now and I’m still laughing.
Also I’ve a weird amount of time now trying to figure out it I’d want something from Cardan’s POV, so thanks’ for that… Jude being our only POV is kind of vital to the series on a lot of levels, but it would also be SO INTERESTING to see events from another point of view? I know there’s a bonus chapter out there somewhere from Madoc’s POV but it isn’t exactly something that’s universally, accessible, I don’t think? (Barnes and Noble edition of TWK, maybe?) (Alternate suggestion: role reversal: Cardan’s POV but it’s in the mortal world and he spends the entire story trying to use a coin-operated laundry machine.)
Omg good because I made myself laugh 😂 I’M QUALIFIED TO WRITE PERCY FANFIC NOW, RIGHT???
And yes you’re welcome for the need of the understanding of Cardan’s brain. I’m 9/10 convinced he actually has no idea what’s going on and is just screaming internally but yeah. I think the series wouldn’t be as powerful if it wasn’t JUST Jude. So we need a Cardan book after the trilogy ends.😂 Agh that’s not fair that there’s a bonus chapter only available for some. wahhshsoghs. I want.
Also agreed with your alternate suggestion. Also Cardan shopping in like, Target or something. Bless.
Maybe that’ll be our big Queen of Nothing reveal. A moment where Jude and Cardan get stuck at the bottom of a well or something and actually have to talk and have a conversation that’s basically just “if YOU’RE panicking and I’M panicking, then WHO’S FLYING THE PLANE?” (jokes on you, you menaces. You still are. Better figure out how to land that thing.)
I’m not particularly calling any books off the top of my head that I wanted to see from someone else’s perspective – a scene or two, maybe, but maybe I just don’t read a lot of limited-perspective novels, and the ones I do, I feel that it would kinda ruin the magic to have it from someone else’s head.
Though I am currently reading a book that has a companion novel told from the perspective of the antagonist(ish? They’re on opposing sides of an issue, and I don’t think that either is the one “in the right.” It’s pretty cool, and I’m very much looking forward to getting into that companion novel. “Of Sea and Shadow” and “Of Shadow and Sea” by Will Wight, if you’re at all interested.
Oh that’s really cool that you’re reading a series that tells both sides of the story! Those are the kind of plots I LOVE, like morally grey and no one is totally evil, but their wants just conflict. 🤗
Ahahah I haven’t read any of these, but yes to wanting alternate POVs! I’d love Johnny Tremain from Cilla’s or Rab’s viewpoints. They’re both so fascinating, with different perspectives on the war, and we never get to see inside their heads. Or Great Expectations from Estella’s POV because how did SHE feel about all of that??? Or some of Emma’s POV in Fawkes, or Jude in A Time to Die because seriously, what was going on with him.
The epic fantasy I’m working on is from a single first-person POV (which I do think is the best way to tell it), but alsooooo I wish I could write some of it from my sassy, lonely prince’s viewpoint! It’d be so much fun! He’d be so confused as he slowly guessed all my MC’s secrets. And another character dies a third of the way through, which is inconvenient, but there’s so much going on in these scenes with him and my MC and she’s eight years old at the time so she doesn’t get most of it and it has to be implied and like…he’s in a state of emotional turmoil so it’d be fun to see exactly how it goes and how he comes to the decision he comes to (and also how he deals with the consequences). Maybe I’m alone, but I have a theory that lots of authors feel like this and totally want to write their books multiple times, from all the perspectives of their favourite characters. But that is not really how books work, unfortunately.
JOHNNY TREMAIN!!!! now there’s a book that’s a blast from the past (like literally but also metaphorically because I read that like 10 or so years ago for school!!!!)
As for writing, like some books ARE best told by one perspective, but when I’m doing fantasy, I almost always need multiple POVs. I also do a lot of unreliable narrators so you really need multiple POVs to get past the lies lmao. Good luck with yours!
I was scrolling through this post and repeatedly saying “OMG yes! Same!” (well not out-loud, guess who’s illegally reading book blogging posts while in class), because all these books would be *amazing*. Also, it would be an ultimately guilty pleasure book, to have Wylan’s point of view in Six of Crows. Now, I know that the whole reason he didn’t have chapters in Six of Crows was because it would spoil stuff for the next book, but still, I demand more Wylan.
Tut tut reading posts in class 😂😉 But also omg I’m very honoured you’re reading my blog!!!! and also so glad we agree *hi fives* And yes I am totally miffed as to why we didn’t get Wylan’s POV?! We deserved that from our precious bean son.
See this is exactly why I write 2 POV’s. I just have to give both my cinnamon sons a voice. Ben is such a mess in a very obvious way. Like he’s a mess inside and out. But Lex is more of a quiet mess?? Like he has anxiety and PTSD and most of his struggle is on the inside while he’s actually such a mom friend cinnamon roll.
I love my boys so much omg I hope people like them. 😭
YES. And I think sometimes when we write unreliable narrators, we need multiple perspectives to actually get the truth of the situation. 😂 (I can’t wait to read all about your sad sons someday 💛💛)
I have thought about this a lot! One series that I want from other people’s perspectives is Harry Potter (I know I talk about Harry Potter too much BUT). I especially want it from Neville’s perspective, but also Luna’s. Because sometimes Harry just didn’t really know what was going on and he took WAY too long to notice how awesome Neville and Luna are and I want to see what they were doing while Harry was off saving the day all the time with Ron and Hermione. Especially in The Deathly Hallows when they were holding down the fort at Hogwarts. It would be so amazing.
Orbiting Jupiter from Joseph’s perspective. Though that might break me.
I also want Oliver Twist from Charley Bates’ perspective for no particular reason.
Still geeking out about Ender’s Shadow though, because that book is literally Ender’s Game from Bean’s perspective and it’s like Orson Scott Card knew we want things like that.
Ok first off though I DID NOT KNOW THERE WAS A BEAN BOOK????? I have been missing out.
And also YES. I’m still mad that Harry didn’t give Luna the love and respect she deserved. afjdkslad. She was never fully allowed into their friend group until the very end and it pains my heart. She is so precious I love her so muchhhh💛💛💛
I’m glad I’m not the one and only bookworm wishing to read books through different eyes! How I wish I could read TATBILB through Peter Kavinsky’ eyes. but also, OH JELLYFISH! YES, a trilogy for Kitty! Give me! 💛
Actually also YES to TATBILB from Peter’s perspective. I could totally handle trying that too omg. But like Kitty just NEEDS her own books. She is the best thing ever. 😍
OMG I have often wanted some Percy POV when thinking about TGGTVAV! I think it would be a much softer voice, and I would just love to read more about Percy being in love with Monty because he was for so long!! Also, it would have been quite angsty, as well, since he had to watch Monty go off with quite a few people. Poor baby.
I think Radio Silence from Aled’s POV would be most interesting in that time where he just kind of disappears and talks to no one. Even though it would be a dark place, I think reading about what he was thinking and feeling during that time would add to his character and arc even more than what was in the book from Frances’ POV.
I haven’t read any of the other books so cannot comment *screams*
BUT. I would like to read Shadow and Bone from The Darkling’s POV. I think being in his head would be so interesting!! Leigh, do us this favour.
Percy would be so so gentle 😍 like maybe that’s just me channeling the way the audiobook narrator gave him a voice, but like !! so soft and quiet and calm. I love Percy so much ajfsladfs. (At least we deserve a novella by him, preferably the scene where he also smacks Richard Peele in the face and pretends it was an accident to defend Percy’s honour.)
YES to Aled, especially when he just shut down at the end. I broke for him. 😭😭
Also would be definitely keen to read The Darkling’s perspective 👀
This is SUCH a cool post! I’d never thought about wanting to re-read a book from a different character’s perspective but you are SO right! I definitely agree with you about Gentleman’s Guide and The Wicked King!
yessss I’m so glad we’re in agreement then 😍
I haven’t read any of those but Wicked King and I WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE. I have my theories on Cardan but I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HE’S THINKING. Love this post!
I have SO many theories about Cardan I am literally drowning here 👀 I 1000% think he knows what he’s doing but also I’m a bit convinced he doesn’t and he’s learning all his scheming from Jude????? She is raising him right. (OR VERY WRONG?????)
I am going to DM you about this!
I haven’t read the first two but I TOTALLY agree about the last three, especially a Kitty POV, I feel like her life would be full of indignation about things that didn’t go her way followed up by a plot to right it all. I just read Pride and Prejudice and I think it would actually be suuuper funny to have a book from the POV of the mother, she’s always plotting different ways for her daughters to get married and I think it would be interesting to see what she really things of all the men.
Also I love that you have a sweater that matches Radio Silence!
KITTY WOULD JUST BE AMAZING. She is such a queen in Lara Jean’s books and she’s not even narrating! (And aw thank you about my sweater!! I love this one so much 😂)
YESSSSS to Kitty! I have wanted her to have a spinoff for everrrr. She is the best character. I still need to read most of the others, but I trust your judgment here so I am going to just go ahead and agree 😂
She is just adorable and so full of sass omg. Just imagine all the things she’d get up to in highschool while Lara Jean is fretting about her from college and coming home to stress bake. 😂 Also then we totally get a Lara Jean/Peter wedding. I’m not usually a sap, except rn apparently.
Oh man, I haven’t read ANY of these, but I’ve definitely had this feeling. Like… okay, that’s nice, but what about this BETTER character over here? Thought that’s personal opinion. Ace of Shades for example. I liked it, I though it was interesting, but I wanted Jaq’s story. Or Encahntee from Sophie’s POV. So many alternate stories out there….
Definitely! I usually love the main characters, but *sometimes* the secondary characters will just be more interesting. 😂
OMG A KITTY TRILOGY WOULD BE LEGENDARY. Seriously, someone please tell Jenny Han about this brilliant idea. And I totally agree about Radio Silence. I LOVED Frances but I would totally want to read something from Aled’s persepctive too. Maybe Alice Oseman will write one of those novellas about him one day like she did for some of her other characters?? Anyway, I loved this post!!
Wouldn’t it just?! It would absolutely win everything 😍 And we can hold out that Alice Oseman might bless us with an Aled short story or something?! I know she sometimes goes back!! Like with Heartstopper!
I’m yet to read The Caged Queen, ugh. I’d love to re-read The Winternight Trilogy but from Solovey’s perspective. Solovey is the main character’s horse!
omg from the horse’s perspective! And I haven’t read that one yet, but the first book has been glaring at me from my TBR for absolutely forever.
Yes I want to read the Percy point of view too. And getting a Kitty highschool trilogy would be amazing!
Percy would be SO kind and SO long-suffering it would just be amazing. 😂
Love this idea!
