Why hello March. Put that autumn back where it came from or so help me. But this is supposed to be a weekly recap post, so I won’t glare stealthily (it is a thing, you know, stealthy glaring) at March for too long.
I read 23 books in February. I’m quite pleased with myself.
Also, our Ophelia and the Marvellous Boy giveaway is still going if you’d like to enter. And THANK YOU everyone for your awesome and delicious comments on my Cover Fixing post. I’m so glad I can make you laugh. It is the best feeling of ever.
I’m linking up with Tynga’s Reviews for the meme Stacking The Shelves! Basically: you recount books you’ve won/bought/collected this week.
I never really thought about Mary Poppins being a book before until I watched Saving Mr Banks. So, I had to try it! I absolutely loathed it. I did a movie vs. book comparison over at The Book Chewers. But, blogglings, Mary is a vain, condescending, rude creature. I was so horrified. It wasn’t that she was different from the movie-Mary-Poppins…it was that she was downright MEAN.
I’ve always loved the movie Because of Winn-Dixie…sooo, time to read the
I loved These Broken Stars, so I want to see how Megan Spooner writes on her own. Obviously I NEEDED Siege and Storm (can we just say aaaamazing to the first book?). I have Anna and the French Kiss on my TBR from last week, so I went ahead and borrowed the sequel. You never know. I might desperately need it directly.
Aren’t you glad I have such logical reasons for all the books I borrow?
I don’t normally buy books spontaneously (because money), but I saw The Host at the second-hand store for $4. My library doesn’t have it. Everyone raves about it. It seemed like a perfectly good idea at the time. Except that eyeball is kind of freaking me out.
