It’s awfully hard to believe, but I only read 2 books this week. (They were V is for Villain and Night Vision if you’re curious.) Shocking? I KNOW. I’ve been averaging on 4 to 6 books each week. Goodreads is feeling my neglect. What have I been doing instead? Editing. Rewriting. Exploding my brain. That normal sort of author stuff. I don’t go amongst the humans in the outside world. I just edit.
I’m linking up with Tynga’s Reviews for the meme Stacking The Shelves! Basically: you recount books you’ve won/bought/collected this week.
Thank you Scholastic, MacMillan, Allen & Unwin, and Bloomsbury! I love you guys.
I’m fangirling about Fangirl (oh, the irony). Looking for JJ and Tales from the Half-Continent were surprises from Scholastic. I ADORE surprises. Buuuut, Tales from the Half-Continent is book #3.5 in its series, which is mildly awkward since I haven’t read the first books. And they don’t really look my style. BUT ONWARDS.
The Bone Season is huge. Look at it! If I fell over while holding that, I could quite possibly be crushed to death. Despite the health hazard, I’m ridiculously excited to read it!
Oh, and I’ve already read Night Vision (eager beaver, I know, I know). But be excited, blogglings! I have an interview with the author (it’s a hilarious interview) and a giveaway lined up!
Thank you Disney-Hyperion and Hachette Book Australia on NetGalley for the e-ARCs!
I’ve read both of these already (I’ve actually had Riot for a while, I just keep…forgetting it). V is for Villain is totally cliche but I adored it. And Riot? Let’s just say there was a riot in my head and it wasn’t a happy one. Reviews will come all in good time, blogglings.
My fabulously awesome friend Jen @ The Starry-Eyed Revue gave me this book. GAVE it to me! I know! I’m ridiculously happy right now. Thank you, Jen! You are so awesome.
This is a new addition to my stacking the shelves posts! I love reading other blogs and I want to share with you some of my delicious finds of this week across the blogosphere. So go read them. I told you to nicely, so that counts.
Natalie @ Natflix & Books talks about anticipation. With Veruca Salt GIFs. (Total win.)
Jen @ YA Romantics talks about serial killer trends. As you do.
Lydia @ The Book Chewers is doing a fantastic Narnia giveaway. Seriously, there’s heaps to win.
Kelsey @ Verbosity Book Reviews says, as a blogger, you can’t do everything.
Did you know Tahereh Mafi and Ransom Riggs have a Youtube channel? Well. They’re hilarious.
@ Blimey Cow shows us how to deal with awkward situations. Very helpful. Very awkward.
sunday – We review Fall For Me and decide angels could benefit from parachutes.
monday – Fantasy names can be hopelessly confusing. But Throne of Glass got it right.
tuesday – For Top Ten Tuesday, Cait went wild listing her favourite dystopians.
wednesday – Mime confesses: sometimes “quality literature” just sucks.
thursday – We review Side Effects May Vary (they do vary because Cait felt like braining herself with the book).
