This book is INCREDIBLE.
Seriously I…I don’t even know where to start. I wasn’t expecting to be this emotionally involved (I didn’t even know what it was about prior to cracking the cover), but my eyeballs were literally glued to this novel of delectable awesome. I COULD NOT LET GO.
Maybe I sniffled a little. Maybe I questioned the fairness in life. Maybe my heart simultaneously broke and melted.
Basically I loved it so much, I made a gif.
I don’t know what’s going on with the cover, though. Is it a honeycomb? Who knows.
MOVING ON.
GO READ THIS BOOK RIGHT NOW AND LET YOUR HEART CRY AND BE MELTED AND SMUSHED LIKE MINE WAS. What are you waiting for?!
Oh yes. You’re waiting for me to tell you why you want it. Okay, I shall tell you all.
The Unlikely Hero of Room 13B is about growing up and family and first-love and OCD. It’s, basically, incredible. I felt so immersed in Adam’s POV (even though it’s in 3rd, which was totally refreshing). Adam felt so real and relatable. I loved his thought process! He had this BOUNCE in his attitude (so refreshing to read). On the outside he’s brave and friendly and helps others — on the inside he suffers crippling anxiety.
For someone (um, me) who understands anxiety perfectly, I just want to bow to this author because SHE NAILED IT.
Adam wants to get better and he’s going to support-group-meetings and taking his medication, but life isn’t always that simple. There is so many complications. Like Adam’s family? Oh gosh. They are so. messed. up.
He lives with his mum, who has anxiety issues (she’s a hoarder) and his Dad also has issues (he buries himself in work). But his dad and step-mom and little half-brother, Sweetie, are a big part of Adam’s life. He’s totally torn between them. He loves his mum, but she inflames his anxiety. The book is SUCH an emotional tug-of-war. I WAS FEELING IT. And, peoples, I do not usually feel. I am Vulcan. Why am I feeling? Make it stop.
So let’s talk about insta-love.
This book is the personification of insta-love. Adam is IN LOVE with Robyn from pg 1. (Literally. Look at the above picture.)
Half of me is saying, “Calm down, dude.” The other half is saying, “Aw, that’s kind of adorable.”
I, personally, don’t think insta-love is unrealistic. I usually think it’s a plot device to cut out character deveolpment. IT’S THE CHEATER’S WAY. But! Keep your llama socks on, my friends, because the character development is amazing. And Adam and Robyn become friends before they’re smooching in a cemetery. (Um…about that…)
Adam works up the courage to talk to Robyn and then walk her home and it’s just dang adorable. He’s 15 and she’s 16. But, seriously, their relationship takes a turn that really surprised (and impressed me) and, basically, the entire thing was spectacular.
DID I MENTION I LIKE THIS BOOK? Yes. Oh, okay. Well. I may accidentally yell it a few more times. JUST SAYIN’.
Also there’s a huge superhero aspect.
HELLO I AM A SUPERHERO FAN. I nearly cried of happiness. At support group, they do this thing where they leave themselves at the door and take on new identities…superheroes! For 90% of the book, Adam refers to the other kids by their superhero names (like Wonder Woman and Wolverine and Green Lantern and Thor) and gradually they just become those names too. Robyn is Robin and….Adam is Batman. It’s SO STINKIN’ ADORABLE. I loved the friendships in the group too.
OTHER THINGS I ABSOLUTELY ADORE:
- The fact that medication and therapy was painted in a positive light…but it wasn’t the “be all and end all”. Often I feel these things are sooo negative in YA. (Which is sucky and can send a bad message.) But, while it was positive, they also addressed the reality that there can be MORE to a problem than medication/therapy. No bandaids on a stab wound. Fix it properly.
- THERE ARE LISTS IN THIS BOOK!!! I love lists.
- The huge focus on friendship. It was GLORIOUS. I loved how Adam was friends to everyone, despite being worried and consumed with his issues and thinking he’s sucky. Also Adam’s BFF, Ben, is always there for him. Their relationship comprises of grunts and video games and red bull BUT THEY ARE THERE FOR EACH OTHER. (Ben checks in on Adam to cheer him up/make sure he’s not suicide-ish. Excuse me, I must scream with the wonderfulness of this.)
- Also the huge emphasis on family. It’s completely about family. I LOVE THAT. I love books about siblings and parental relations. It was really poignant and perfectly written and aahhhhh I had all the feels of ever! Adam has this super uber cute relationship with his little half-brother, Sweetie (who is 5 and already showing signs of extreme anxiety). Adam is literally THE BEST big brother in the world.
- It really dove into OCD. Nothing was brushed over. It talked about different aspects and ways OCD manifests.
- THE ENDING. OMG. It wasn’t a tidy wrap-up-with-a-bow, but it was perfect.
Also, I tried to think of something negative to say but…for once I HAVE NOTHING.
I know! Take a moment with me! Since when do I have nothing snarky to say?!!
Basically this book blew me away.
I LOVE IT. I AM IN AWE OF IT. If you’re at all curious about what it’s like to live with anxiety (OCD in particular, but anxiety is the root of OCD) then read this book because it’s an A+ representation. Also, if you want to read a book with a huge family and friendship focus (as well as a super-cute romance), this is for you. SO YEAH. I’m just gonna be here with my mouth open because…
Wow. Tears, but wow.
Go read it. I’ll wait patiently.
Thank you Walker Books for the ARC! The Unlikely Hero of Room 13B by Teresa Toten was published March, 2015.
When Adam meets Robyn at a support group for kids coping with obsessive-compulsive disorder, he is drawn to her almost before he can take a breath. He’s determined to protect and defend her–to play Batman to her Robyn–whatever the cost. But when you’re fourteen and the everyday problems of dealing with divorced parents and step-siblings are supplemented by the challenges of OCD, it’s hard to imagine yourself falling in love. How can you have a “normal” relationship when your life is so fraught with problems? And that’s not even to mention the small matter of those threatening letters Adam’s mother has started to receive . . .
Teresa Toten sets some tough and topical issues against the backdrop of a traditional whodunit in this engaging new novel that readers will find hard to put down.

have you read this book?! are you going to now?! (because it’s incredibly and i think you should read it.) also: batman vs thor, go! go! go! aaaand, how do you feel about insta-love? do you think it can be done “right” or is it unrealistic?
Cait @ Paper Fury
…is currently squeaking her little heart out because she discovered a pristine condition Disruption in the second-hand story for like $2 and her LIFE HAS BEEN MADE. This is the origin story of her adorable OTP (hello Quentin and Maggie). Cait is proud of her bargain hunting abilities. ALSO. She’s reading The Remedy.
You can tell that you really, really loved this book. I’m really intrigued now and will have to put it on my list to get. And who doesn’t love a book that talks about superheros, right?
I’m not usually an insta-love fan. I don’t necessarily think it’s realistic; insta-lust is more realistic – that’s a thing, right? 😀 To be instantly IN love, I just don’t buy it. Maybe I’m being too literal? Anyways… I like the idea of a book dealing with OCD and trying to show what it’s like to live with it.
I’m looking forward to reading this – your enthusiasm is contagious. 🙂
I DID. ENTHUSIASM IS CATCHING. *does wild happy dance* I'm just so so pleased with this one because it was SUCH a glorious surprise. ^-^
DITTO THIS COMMENT.
All of it.
*dances* WELL THIS IS PLEASING. I HOPE YOU GET TO TRY IT SOMEDAY.
THOR, OBVIOUSLY. Ahem. Anyway.
You know, only the other day I was wishing that there were more books on anxiety in Young Adult. Because, as someone WITH severe anxiety, I kinda want to read about it–but in a realistic manner, you know? So obviously I’m going to check this book out ASAP because I already know I’m going to like it. As for insta-love… well, for me it kinda just depends. If it’s part of the plot, sure, go for it. I just don’t like when the author doesn’t develop the relationship enough and the characters are willing to die for each other and it’s just like, “REALLY?!” So I don’t like Romeo & Juliet-esque insta-love. THAT bothers me. xD
It is soooo realistic. And I HEAR YA on the anxiety front, I do, and usually I get a bit squeamish at anxiety books because they seem to “fix it”…usually with a boy/girlfriend. -_- Which is unokay. So this book was just so in-touch with reality and refreshing.
Oooooh!!!! Well, I have to say, based on YOUR review of this book, it DOES SOUND INCREDIBLE!!!! NOthing snarky at all? AT ALL???
O.o wow….
also, yes hello to the feels, I believe your finally cracking Cait!!!!! XD
I shall promptly add it to my TBR list!
Thanks for sharing and may the feels be with you! 😛 xoxo
I KNOW! LOOK AT ME BEING 100% NICE?! WHO IS THIS. WHAT HAVE THEY DONE WITH THE REAL CAIT. The Vulcan has broken. *cries wildly*
I GOT THIS OUT FROM THE LIBRARY so far I have only read three chapters and I’m totally double-timing on my books, but it seems really, really good. I have never seen a superhero movie (to my eternal shame) but I will. Sometime. I swear it. I think insta love occasionally happens, and it can be written well and realistically.
I’m so glad I have this book (you know, temporarily) and your review just makes me want to read it more. How do you make gifs?
I just googled “how to make a gif”. XD There are generators that you can load pictures in, which is what I did. But SHHHH. Let people think I magicked this gif out of the air instead of had it generated. ;-)AHHHH I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT YOU THINK OF THIS BY THE END. Are you going to review it?! I shall stalk your blog regardless.
This has been on my TBR list for a while. Maybe I need to bump it up a few spots…it sounds super cool and really good.
It is sooooo good. I maybe will just flail every time I see it on my bookshelf now. xD
Yes, I am going to read it. XD It is so rare to find a book that puts emphasis on family and just plain friends instead of just romance, which is often the only really important relationship in thr book. *sigh*
I think instalove CAN be done right. It just needs to develop into something more than that initial attraction, otherwise the entire romance is based on very unstable emotions and on appearances. But if that initial attraction draws them close and then they build on that to forge a friendship that is more than “I barely know you but I like you because I think you’re hot” then I think that the romance becomes a lot more realistic.
Relationships are SO important…and yes, I totally agree, it feels like romance is the only relationship that gets developed a lot of the time, but what about friends?! Family?! I LOVE books with families. xDAnd, in retrospect, even though the dude fell “in love” with the girl on sight, I don't think it was reciprocated so maybe this isn't even insta-love?! More like insta-attraction, *nods*
D’aww. This book is on my tbr list. It seems cute, so I’m glad it’s got the Cait thumbs-up of approval! 😀
IT IS VERY CUTE. *calms self* I have a lot of feelings about this one for sure. 😉
OHMYGOD THIS SOUNDS AMAZING.
Because it has lists. And lists are the best thing since even before sliced bread. We all know this. Also, I’m really interested to see how the anxiety and OCD aspect is played out in this. And it as an uplifting ending, and it’s just so DIFFERENT.
There is one slight problem in that I don’t know ANYTHING about superheroes, but we’ll let that slide. I’m sure I can pick it up…
Beth x
LISTS ARE LIKE THE MOST AMAZING INVENTIONS IN THE UNIVERSE. (After the internet and the genius who invented corn chips.)How…how can you not know about superheroes?! BETH. WHAT IS THIS.
This book sounds amazing. I want to read it. I wanted to read it before. But now, anxiety and OCD? Yes I have to read it. And the superhero element! That is the biggest plus in the world. 😀
Insta-love usually doesn’t turn out well in books. But insta-love does happen in real life. Someone develops a crush upon first meeting someone. Yeah, that happens. Does it always turn into forever? *shrugs* Maybe. Realistic insta-love is something books need to do a little better though. They are lacking, I think.
Batman vs. Thor? The evil overlord attitude must be kicking in hard, Cait. That question is torture! I think for now, I’ll have to say Batman. Because Batman is very intelligent (more so than Thor) and is always prepared for everything. And, yeah, I think Batman would win out. Sure he doesn’t have a hammer, and he can’t fly. But I’m sure he’s psychoanalyzed Thor and his hammer (you know, if it’s possible to psychoanalyze a hammer. . .). And he’s probably already found Thor’s weakness or “kryptonite.”
IT IS SUCH A BIG PLUS. Like I could literally think of no negatives because the pluses were so incredible. *flails irrationally*Batman is DARK AND GLORIOUS. I have to pick him every time, even though, to be fair, Thor is Australian. (shhh, the actor is so THOR IS AUSTRALIAN.)
Hey Cait! I’m usually not a fan of insta-love because it doesn’t feel generic not to mention you fact that with the characters being so young in this book it would be borderline puppy love. But maybe that’s just me. I’m glad you liked it and I may give it a try 🙂 And Thor, definitely Thor. Hehe
It definitely feels like puppy love, and to be honest, now that I think about it…it's more like insta-love on one side, so maybe it's more of a severe crush?! The development is GORGEOUS though.
I NEED this book. I’m at the library at the weekend, so I’m going to search and search (and probably find that they don’t have it 🙁 ). Seriously though, mental health is used in the story I’m in the middle of rewriting (it’s not the main plot, two of the characters just happen to have mental health conditions) and I need to read something that gets it right because I’m so so worried about offending people 🙁
Not really a superhero person, but I saw some Batman cartoons as a kid and Robin was AWESOME so Batman vs Thor, has to be Batman. (Thor’s great and all, but I always think that Joanne Harris writes the Norse Gods better than Marvel – no offense to any Marvel fans, it’s just my opinion.)
Instalove… I’m kinda divided on it. On the one hand, it can be unrealistic. But, on the other, you do get some couples who claim they fell in love at first sight and, if it’s not a really unhealthy couple, why hate on it? Sometimes it’s even cute 😉
I WILL BE SITTING HERE HOPING YOUR LIBRARY HAS IT. (omg, do I always start my replies in all caps? Geesh. I'm like always yelling. How does anyone put up with me?! *ahem* ONWARDS [there i go again])Ooh, your book sounds amazing, and gah, I totally understand about offending people. It can be a really touchy subject. And I've read a book about anxiety that was so so WRONG and totally misrepresented it and, while the rest of the book was good, I couldn't rate it high because of the injustice I felt at their representation of anxiety. So BOO. Yes. Pressure is on.
I wouldn’t be able to read this book. I live with severe OCD, so the last thing I want to do is read about it; I know it would drive my anxiety level through the roof. (I never could watch Monk — even though he really had OCPD, not OCD.) But… I do think it’s a good thing for there to be more books about this topic. Maybe once people understand how serious OCD can be, they’ll stop throwing the term around like it’s some fun little quirk. “I’m so OCD!” makes no sense, anyway. You’d never say, “I’m so diabetes!” or “I’m so cancer!”… would you?
As for insta-love… I’m not a fan. Instant attraction, fine. That’s realistic. But when two characters meet and then they all of a sudden start making out after an hour… not so much. Maybe there’s such a thing as insta-lust, but I’m of the opinion that actual love takes some time to develop. You need to get to know the other person. Otherwise, what’s the attraction based on? Physical appearances? (Despite what some YA books might imply, that’s probably not enough.)
I completely agree! OCD is NOT a quirk and I hate it when things like this are just tossed into books as “quirks” and “flaws”. oh please. It's ridiculously hard to live with anxiety (I hear ya, I'm not OCD but I've got severe anxiety) and I actually did feel a bit tumultuous reading this…so I totally get why you'd want to skip it.
Okay…I’m sold. Like legitimately sold. I’m going to out and BUY THIS BOOK! It’s going on my considerably short and hard-to-make-it to buy list so your words have spoken to me!
Also: THOR. (Have you heard Batman in The Dark Knight? No…me neither, that’s how quietly he was whispering the whole damn time!)
Also: yes, sometimes insta-love can be done right. Especially if it’s a fifteen year old who’s going through it and after which there’s relationship development. Some people actually do rock it IRL. And a week ago if you told me I’d say this about insta-love I would have laughed in your face…but surprisingly it actually does happen. Weird, huh?
OMG. I….I AM REALLY HONOURED RIGHT NOW THAT I'VE CONVINCED YOU SO WELL. xDOh pffft. Batman is a man of kicking and not talking. THAT IS WHY I LOVE HIM. So therefore, that's fine. You have Thor. I have Batman. THE WORLD IS A HAPPY PLACE.
Wow. After a review like that, I NEED to pick this up! Don’t get me wrong, I love romance, but after awhile I get sick of the underdeveloped family/friend characters. This sounds like the perfect balance. Plus, the cover is really appealing, tehe.
Great review! The Batman GIFs are on point.
It is so incredible and ajfdklsa you will not regret this. Developing family dynamics is my FAVOURITE in books! I wish it was more common, actually.
THIS SOUNDS FABULOUS! Just put it on hold at the library and am crossing my fingers that I end up enjoying it as much as you did! I love how it focuses not primarily on romance, but on friendship and family too. I think those are two focuses YA needs so much more of, so I’m glad it’s included here. I’ll admit that I’m a little timid about the instalove, but if you said it was done well, I’ll trust you on that. 😉
Thanks for sharing and, as always, fabulous review! ♥
(And Cait! Your OTP is not Quentin and Maggie! It’s Percabeth! Take it back before it’s too late!)I REALLY HOPE YOU LIKE THIS ONE, ZOE. I mean, the first part is really down for the romance, but yesss, omg, the ending will really spin your feels. *cuddles book* HA HA HA AHAHAH. Nope. I shall not take it back. *commences majestic hair toss* QUENTIN AND MAGGIE. (Actually, pfft, maybe it's Blue and Gansey? Maybe it's Morpheus and Alyssa? MAYBE CHAOL AND CELANEA? Let's just say I have a lot of OTPs.)
This book sounds sooo good! It’s now on my TBR. 😉 Oh my gravy, definitely Thor. Because HAMMER. And long blond hair. And cool accent. 😛 And he’s an Avenger.
For me, sometimes Insta-love is good, but most of the time it’s cheesy. But if it’s well done, I like it.
I have to admit, Thor is rather incredible, considering, also, that he's Australian. OH SHHH DON'T SINK MY BOAT. If the actor is Australian = Thor is Australian. #caitlogic
I want to read this so badly. Like wow. I mostly read fantasy-type books but oh my goodness this sounds incredible!! I’m so impressed (from what you’ve said) that she did such a good job portraying OCD/anxiety and didn’t just gloss over the struggle. So excited!
THE STRUGGLE IS SO REAL IT'S LIKE I WAS EXPERIENCING IT ALL WHILE READING AND GAAAH THAT'S INCREDIBLE. Also sad. But also really moving.
I’m halfway through the post and I’ve decided to make a list of all the things I love about it:
“I loved it so much, I made a gif.”
3rd person being refreshing
Llama socks
Superheroes
LISTS
Batman rollychair GIF
Basically, this post is perfection.
Also….I completely thought that this book was about Sherlock when I saw you mention it earlier. Obviously, it’s not. MY BAD. It sounds really interesting, though!
*stamps this comment with approval*I love those little Ordinary Batman adventure gifs. XD And fiiiinally I had a legitimate excuse to use them, right?! AND OMG YES! I had that thought too with the 13B! I mean, it's not 221B Bakers street, but it's got the B. THAT MEANS SOMETHING.
Wow! I’d never heard of this book before seeing it here, but now I’m definitely adding it to my TBR! It’s great to hear that although there is insta-love, there is character development which is essential. And superheroes as well? I’m sold. Thanks for sharing Cait 🙂
Character development is my FAVOURITE THING. Seriously, I will let plot holes or dodgy world building slide if there's incredible character development. ^-^ (not that this book is dodgy in anyway though, so YAY FOR THAT.)
How have I not heard of this book before? Adding it to my wish list ASAP. <33
First of all, books that have a lot of family and friendship = bonus points. Especially the kind where they're not perfect and have these flaws but still love each other. 🙂
THE ROMANCE SOUNDS SO FRIGGIN CUTE I NEED IT! I love those awkward relationships and cute development. <3
And superheroes? Lists? Holy crap, I am BEYOND sold!
I know right?! It's completely unsung!! I hadn't even heard a peep about it until it turned up in my mailbox. SO I JUST SCREAM MY THANKS TO WALKERBOOKS FOR CHANIGNG MINE LIFE. *parties quietly*
WHUP. Now I have to read it! It’s rare to see books that portray mental illnesses in a realistic and honest light, and now that you’ve told me the author nailed it, I think I’m obliged to give it a go. :’)
(Btw I accidently read the spoiler because I’M TOO CURIOUS FOR MY OWN GOOD. Would I still enjoy the book knowing how it ends??? 🙁 )
I think you'd still like the book even with knowing the spoiler. BUT SHAME ON YOU, **GASPS** JO HOW COULD YOU?!! 😉 Haaa. I kid. I kid. The temptation is real.
Well, I need this one too. I love that it accurately portrays anxiety. I feel like most books don’t at all, and then they make me mad. But since this does… I will be needing it immediately. I am usually mad when you add to my TBR (fine, not mad, overwhelmed) but in this case, I am really quite glad you alerted me to it!
I think insta-love CAN be done right. It’s rare, but it happens. I have seen it and believed it, but not many times. I do, however, trust your assessment, so I think I can handle it. And it almost seems like… not even insta-LOVE, but insta-infatuation, like a teenager would have? Like a MASSIVE blinding crush? That then leads to more, which I think is definitely realistic!
Also, I cannot find Disruption anywhere. And I want it. And Australia has all the books I want, so I guess I am moving in. Let your mom know.
I'M REALLY GLAD YOU WANT TO READ THIS ONE. I feel like EVERYONE needs to read. Omg! I'm so enthused about this book! HUZZAH. Pfft, you can't be mad at me. You love me too much. See? You love me so much you're moving in.
Hang on, not only did you FEEL, but there’s nothing negative? WOWSERS, that’s one hell of a recommendation. I love a realistic and feel good read that doesn’t dwell on resorting to making the reader cry to entice emotion, and kudos to the author who didn’t feel the need to demoralise medical or mental illness, the bandaid approach usually tells me that authors are too lazy to do proper research or haven’t the time to go into the ins and outs in depth. I have a copy of this one too and I’m almost peeing with excitement to crack it open now. Honeycomb cover, here I come. Wonderful review Cait <3
I HAD A FEEELING. OMG OMG. WHAT DO I DO, KELLY? I DON'T KNOW HOW TO HANDLE THIS FEELING THING.
Okay, you have officially sold me on this one. Adding it to my TBR right now. I don’t normally care for insta-love but if the character development is there, then so am I!
I know right?! Character development is my weakness. I aaaalways love it.
Wow, Cait! I better go pick this book up RIGHT NOW. Looks amazing, and I can tell that you’re ecstatic about it! As for the insta-love, it usually irritates me SO much, unless it’s done perfectly. I do love it when two characters meet accidentally during some kind of crazy event, like Tarver and Lilac from These Broken Stars did, but I am picky about these kinds of love stories, as I’d rather watch the relationship grow.
Nice review, girl!
Ohhh Tarver and Lilac are ADORABLE. I loved their relationship. Particularly that whole love-hate thing going on and then…**swoons** I love them. xD
Well, I am definitely sold on this book already! I love the fact that it paints therapy and medications in a positive light… Most of the books that have these themes in their stories paint them in such a negative way you’d think they were the devil’s reincarnation… that, or it’s LOVE that CHANGES us. BUT, WHAT?! Insta-love that’s actually done realistically and adorably and not at all annoying? Now that’s a first, and something I want to see!
Okay, you convinced me. I need to read this book. I vaguely remember seeing the cover at some point, but it wasn’t even on my radar enough to have read a description of it. Now I’m excited, it sounds wonderful!
YAAAAY. I'm really pleased. ^-^ I've never heard ANYONE blog about it and it's definitely and underrated book.
You had me at anxiety.
This books sounds brilliant and I want it now and how come I have not heard of it before right now?
Great review, you have certainly convinced me to buy it. I hope I love it as much as you did. Thanks for sharing.
It's seriously underrated! I hadn't seen any signs of it until it arrived in the mail. LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH.
This book looks so cool, I just can’t stop snickering at the fact that the main character’s name is Adam and he’s Batman – what a great (and gutsy) tongue in cheek reference to Adam West as Batman.
Ohhh I didn't get that reference! HOW COOL.
This book sounds really good. I’ve only read one other book with a character who had OCD, and that was really good too. It was Danish. I think I’ll check this one out on Goodreads.
YES I HOPE YOU TOTALLY DO. And I've read another book with an OCD character (Say What You Will) and, ergh, I think it handled it really badly. I was super frustrated with the conclusion. 🙁
I’m a fan of instalove if it’s done right. I mean, I believe in love at first sight. Also, I hadn’t heard of this book before but you’ve convinced me that I need this in my life. Thanks ♥
Yessss. MY MISSION IS ACCOMPLISHED.
Amazing review Cait! I kind of hate you right now though… you’ve made me really regret not picking this up when I saw it in Waterstones the other day. Now I feel sad because it looks like I missed out on a great story. But…. then there’s a part of me that’s pretty scared to read it now. What if my expectations are just ridiculously too high? WHAT IF I RUIN THE BOOK FOR MYSELF!?!?! FEAR… genuine fear.
YOU NEED TO REGRET THAT LIFE CHOICE BECAUSE OHHHH MY GOSH. THIS BOOK IS WORTH READING. Although ridiculously high expectations? Gah. The struggle is real, my friend.
This book was actually a mandatory book for one of my unvierstiy courses, and I was searching for courage to read it (because English courses sometimes supply books that aren’t very interesting and very easy to, pardon my French, bullshit). Your review actually made me want to indulge into this story. Thank you!
I’m glad you enjoyed my review! Thanks for reading!
