Well it’s officially here!! The Kings of Nowhere is completely up on Patreon.
And I’m just going to be emotional here for a minute. My soul has just lain down on the carpet and is sobbing — in both relief and nerves, because this book that has existed alone in my head for 5 years (with only one reader before this) is now OUT THERE.
The Kings of Nowhere is deeply special to me. It’s not perfect or groundbreaking or world changing. I don’t even want it to be. It’s just a story and it means a lot to me. And I know it means a lot to so many readers too.
That is all I wanted.
I’m also really pleased the dates worked out like this π₯Ί I didn’t know when I’d finish posting when I started in January. But the final chapters went up on Autism Awareness Day (April 2nd) and also 2 days before The Boy Who Steals Houses release day (April 4th, 2019). Just worked out so well!
Avery has never been held so tight yet with such tender reverence as in that moment, and he craves it like a boy starved.
Choosing to publishing on Patreon was definitely an unconventional decision.
But I’m so glad I did this. It’s been a fun and lovely environment. I’m still hoping to move towards self-publishing and getting physical printed copies done, so the funds I’ve raised through Patreon will definitely help. I don’t know when I’ll figure this all out though. Soon? Hopefully. In the meantime the Patreon will remain up for anyone to read at any time! Just subscribe while you read and then unsubscribe when you’re done. Easy πππ».
It is also on Goodreads if you want to add it or review!
There will be a 3rd and final book in The Boy Who Steals Houses trilogy. I have written half of it so will let you know when I’ve figured out a release date.
I’m starting a newsletter so if you’d like to keep up-to-date on info about The Kings of Nowhere (and any of my upcoming books) this is the time to sign up!! I will only haunt your inbox with irregular news πππ».

Avery Lou is to blame. He is a boy left howling his agony under a moon made of broken glass, and he has driven them all to ruin.
I can’t say thank you enough for supporting The Kings of Nowhere.
I am just so grateful for the comments, and DMs, and shares. Seriously, if you have at all interacted with this book or even just silently read — thank you. Publishing TKON came with a lot of heartache and battling feelings of failure. I worked my guts out trying to get this book to sell, but my experience with traditional publishing has always been a mess. I’m working on other projects to submit to publishers (fingers crossed please π) but I just didn’t want to let the TBWSH trilogy go. I’m so glad it gets to exist.
(Thank you for reading.)

Just in case I have forgotten to tell you on the Patreon (which is entirely possible as I was a bawling mess of a limp tissue person at the time), I ADORED The Kings of Nowhere. It was perfect and messy and brilliant, and I cried SO MUCH. Thank you for releasing this in any format, and I am here for any and all of your future works. π
C.G. @ Paper Fury
